EG2:RR. I make sure to watch them about once a week, sometimes more (mmm Sunset). Outside of that, I usually don't watch movies all that often unless I am super bored, and even then it is usually an MST3K or Riffrax piece.

I recorded The Iron Giant on Disney XD and watched it tonight while eating Double Stuffed Oreos with Cashew milk. I liked the friendship between the boy and the giant robot and how the boy tried to show the world that there's good in the giant robot. I also liked how the food (Twinkies) and books (Mad magazine) are actually real instead of completely made up. 8.5/10

The last movie I watched in the theaters was Spongebob Movie: Sponge out of Water. It was enjoyable yet kind of dissapointing and I though the first movie had more emotion and a better overall conflict. But honestly after watching this movie Spongebob appeals to me less.

Chappie, it's an amazing film. I'll give spoilers.

Basically, there is a Robocop like robot called Chappie. Programmed by a man called Deon(Played by Dev Patel of Slumdog Millionaire fame), who is like Bob Morton or Dennett Norton from Robocop, or even Otacon from Metal Gear. The gangsters are played by Die Antwoord(Ninja and Yolandi), if they ever made another Wipeout game, they should include their music. Now, there is a Rival to Deon called Vincent Moore(Played by Hugh Jackman), who creates an unmanned mech called MOOSE, which is very similar to ED-209 or Metal Gear. Problem is, the police force won't buy it as they don't want a mech that relies on human neural control, and they already have the model Chappie is based on. Chappie gradually learns how to be a gangster and eventually is kidnapped by Vincent, gets his chip sawn out. And Vincent installs it in MOOSE. Vincent is a very similar figure to Richard ''Dick'' Jones from Robocop. I Think the spoilers should end here.

Tetravaal=Omnicorp

Deon=Bob Morton

Vincent Moore=Richard ''Dick'' Jones

Michelle Bradley(played by Sigourney Weaver)=The Old Man

Yolandi and Ninja(Die Antwoord)=The Gangsters who killed Robocop when he was Alex Murphy

MOOSE=ED-209

There are a lot of similarities. And there is also a smart Transhumanist theme to the film. I Don't know why so many critics bashed this film. I think it's because they think it is a Robocop Rip Off with Bad Acting, but the Acting is natural because Yolandi and Sharlto Copley come from South Africa, and Dev Patel comes from India. It's basically like a different version of Robocop.

One of the clubs I'm in on campus watched Troll Hunter on Thursday night.  It's a Norwegian film about a film crew following a man who's job it is to keep the public unaware of the existence of trolls in Norway.  It's fantastic, I definitely recommend that people watch it (it's available on Netflix).

Beatrock love - although, I haven't quite finished it yet. It's a movie that Takeru is in. it's a really cute movie, and it's definitely one I wouldn't mind watching over a dozen times. This is rare for me because the only other japanese drama I like is 1 litre of tears. Takeru was only 22 when he made this movie. He was so cute like omfg. <3

Here's a picture from the movie:

Earth to Echo. I loved it! It suprised me that it didn't just pull off an all-magical "safe escape from the military guys by flying away" sort of deal like E.T. , and the found-footage styled perspective was neat as well.

Watched "Brat" (Brother) a few weeks ago, need to watch the second one. Really a rather good movie.

It's a Russian film from 1997

Fear Clinic. It's a horror movie, came out in 2014. Its content rating in the US is R for bloody horror violence, disturbing images, language and some sexuality/nudity. It currently has a quality rating of 4.5/10 from 710+ user reviews on IMDb.

I'm honestly surprised by how low the rating was. It wasn't a masterpiece by any means. However, I have seen many, many horror movies and this one is pretty fucking deep and original, especially compared to what I'm used to. I don't want to give away what happens in the movie, but its fundamental theme is pretty unique and fascinating.

I'd say its delivery was about average, though. They used some tired tropes and conventional jump scares in addition to the more original content they included.

Most of the actors/actresses in the movie did alright, but I was floored by Robert Englund's performance. He played Freddy Krueger in the Freddy franchise, which I didn't realize until I looked him up after the movie. He plays a very different role here.
