Shiki 5,856 June 1, 2013 Share June 1, 2013 Rhythm. Whether I'm playing a rhythm game, listening to music. idling sitting/bumming around, or whatever, I must keep rhythm. At least, if it comes to mind. I'm always tapping at least one foot steadily at 175bpm. There's always a song stuck in my head; whether it be the one I'm currently listening to or if I'm just thinking of one. My sense of rhythm is quite good. I play Stepmania, and I've posted a few videos of mine a few times before, here. You can notice it when I speak, even, people have told me. Rhythm is really what my brain centres itself on. TamesB 19 June 2, 2013 Share June 2, 2013 (edited) -Everytime I see a pony from the show, I get extremely excited and get happy. -We have (I guess everyone has) a cupboard with detergents in it, I LOVE the smell of that cupboard. -Philosophy, Theories, Space, Sociology, Chemistry, Physics. (We Philosophy class and EVERYONE hates that class. Except me and my friend, it's our favorite .) It's not common for my age, I'm only 14 and I love to learn from those subjects, especially Theories (like those from the Matrix) and Philosophy. Thrashy 2,800 June 4, 2013 Share June 4, 2013 Other than ponies, I guess the closest thing I have to an obsession is that my gaming habits are almost exclusively centered around playing older/nostalgic games. At some points in a year I'll have marathons of every game in a series I love...Star Fox, Mega Man (original series + X series), Final Fantasy, etc. I do a Zelda marathon annually, usually starting late November / early December and lasting just before or after Christmas. And as far as newer games...Skyrim. Need I say moar? I guess music composition is another obsession of mine, although I wouldn't call it awkward. Once I get the ball rolling on a song, I find it extremely difficult to stop till the flow of ideas starts to lose momentum. There are times when I've been up until 4 AM working on a piece even knowing that I have work or school the next day. "Tired? Whad'ya mean Ah look tired?" I have an uncountable number of them in my bed, they take up half the room I would have. I mostly keep this quiet because it's a bit odd, a grown man sleeping with stuffed animals, but I don't know what I would do with the extra space if I didnt and I'd probably miss the warmth they provide. I have one obsession though that has actually kind of made me who I am today, I have an obsession with keeping things in perfect condition. I can't see any scratches or smudges on cars, computers, screens or I start to panic. But this obsession with keeping things in perfect condition does sometimes become awkward, because I refuse letting anyone try out my stuff. Because I'm affraid they would scratch it or ruin it or whatever. But because of this obsession with keeping things in perfect condition I take very good care of everything I have ever owned. Which has given me a reputation of taking very good care of cars. Because I just give them a wash everyday, or every other day and obviously people notice. If I have free time, I spend it on cars. That reputation will make it easier for me to sell my cars in the future and because of that obsession I also have obsession with details. Iridescent Quill 70 June 6, 2013 Share June 6, 2013 Well, I have OCD, so every obsession I have is awkward I guess besides Pony, which has been on my mind at least twice a day since last April, it's Mtn Dew and Doctor Who (it's the show's 50th Anniversary, and I'm just so garsh darned excited). Fellow OCD person here, so obsessed with not getting dirty, doing things a certain way (yay compulsions). Also past obsessions have been coca cola, Dalmatians, cats, anything pink, shiny stuff, Star Wars, swtor, Lego video games, Harry potter, greys anatomy before they killed everyone off, food. I'm also obsessed with Pokemon and Digimon. My favorite Pokemon is Onix, and my favorite Digimon is Dorumon. And ZOIDS. It was an anime in the 90's that I used to watch all the time as a kid. I have over 100 of the models and action figures all around my room. I wish with all my heart that I had the money to buy an HMM Saber Tiger SS. It was my absolute favorite ZOID in the show. I also collect dinosaurs. Like I'll go to the Dollar Tree and grab a bunch of dinosaur figures. But my biggest obsession of all is PHOENIXES. Firebirds of all shapes and sizes and colors. LOVE 'EM. I can't get enough of 'em! Sometimes I'll just go on art sites and browse through pictures of Phoenixes for hours on end.
