Do you sometimes feel your posts don't matter?

All the time.  I don't have time to read everybody else's posts, so I figure most people don't have time to read mine.  But that's just life, though, isn't it?  I don't really feel like I matter in the universe, either.

*Sigh*  I mean, at the end of the day, we all know that any online/social media interaction like this is a farce.  I mean, voice chatting with a real friend is legit social interaction, but posting on message boards like this is but a silly sham--pretend social interaction.  Don't get me wrong--I like it.  I kind of depend on it.  But that's the sad truth--the fact that we've built a society that replaced real social interaction with... this.  We all use things like this as if they were painkillers.  We treat the symptoms, not the disease.  We get that little dopamine hit from seeing the notifications and brohoofs pop up, all the while convincing ourselves that this is normal and healthy.  None of it matters.

Like I said, I like it and depend on it.  It's kind of all I have.  And that's the really sad part.

Yes, given how I tend to posts about sports and football.  It's like no one cares that we're closing in on the NFL playoffs.  Once we get there, it's high stakes, win or your season's over.  Sad that ponies seem to feel empty towards sports, even loads of massive moments to plays in 2020.  Ponies think it's more boring than movies.  I'm saying that many ponies can show emotions towards football games that an antenna can pickup or using an online service.  I hope the emojis and colorful words show how we care about these games.  That we are happy that a team won a playoff game or bury our sad head in hoofs that a team came very close to winning.  Wondering if ponies can show emotion and attention to the NFL Draft.  Though I fear negative reaction when we get to that point.  32 teams make a vital choice that affects their future.

Sometimes but that's okay. Not everyone wants to read your stuff, i suppose and it's not like we can ask that of them.

I sometimes think ponies need a hug *hug* :p

My two crippling fears when posting are a) I won't care about other people's response, b) other people won't care/like my response. That twin anxiety drives me away from forums for a time in cycles (which may be good as I can post a lot :P ), but I tend to come back and nibble away at my rps or just general posting and such. I always know that I will find posts about bronies/ponies entertaining and that other bronies can't help but get something out of a brony/pony-post :)

I don't think anything matters. We're all a tiny little blip of matter, here for a fraction of a moment, in a universe too huge and old for any of us to ever comprehend.

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

Sometimes I start to write a post and in the beginning I think that my posts are not that interesting anyway, so why should I bother? And then just close the tab

If we all truly believed that our posts didn't matter, this thread wouldn't be six pages long. Sometimes people just like to talk for the sake of it, and if this many people are fine with doing so, then it's probably worth it in the end. Not everything in life has to matter a great deal, and not much of it actually does to be honest, but it clearly doesn't have to to still be worth it in my opinion.

No. I do it for fun. And sometimes I will come across an old post of mine, and it still makes me chuckle. It brightens my day, you know.

I feel the same way when I see my posts from 2020. :) Most of the time my opinion didn't change and I know I would post the exact thing again. But sometimes I'm like "yikes", haha.
