No point in smoking. There are absolutely no benefits to it. It's not badass and it doesn't make you a cool person. Not to mention it's expensive and nasty. Plus you smell like shit.

Excuse me one sec *goes around the corner* - HAHAHAHAHAAHA - *comes back* Sorry about that! I've heard plenty of people claim weed is bad for you, but I've never heard it's worse than tobacco until now. Utter rubbish, completely baseless.

Look out guys, the smartass level on this one is off the charts. You've never heard that weed is worse than tobacco? Tell me, bro, were you sheltered?

Ironic though, you stated two of the many reasons why I smoke weed in the first place.

Well, good for you. At least I'm contributing to the economy. What's next, you'll pull the "weed isn't addictive, man" argument?

Yes it is. It has psychoactive properties, in particular, nicotine. Really dude? I ponder what other wonders you know.

By that logic, sugar is a drug. And once again, we have that unwarranted oh-so-edgy attitude of yours. Stoners are so quick on the trigger when it comes to arguing why it's perfectly normal when they're making themselves lazy do-nothings whose addiction doesn't even contribute to the economy like tobacco sales do. And even then, I still don't endorse smoking cigarettes.

Seriously, inform yourselves.

I think four years of high school's worth of personal experience(mainly getting fried with blokes in trailer parks) is information enough. Sure as hell beats some questionably legitimate "facts" from some off-hand biased website.

Or go back to D.A.R.E. spoon feeding you asinine propaganda.

IT'S JUST THE MAN TRYING TO KEEP US DOWN, DUDE. ANYTHING ANTI-DRUG IS JUST THE GOVERNMENT TRYING TO CONTROL US. IT'S ALL ONE BIG CONSPIRACY, MAN. *tokes doob*

If only they knew what people like Andrew Francis did all night at Everfree Northwest, or in places like Amsterdam, I wonder how they'd react.

Oh goodness, a voice actor. Being paid to read off pre-written lines sure is hard work. People like you always pull the "Well, Bob Marley/Jimi Hendrix/whatever did it and they were successful" card. It's like, Jesus H. Christ. How much of the population are they? Like, less than 1%?

Honestly, this is just desperate. Is this a late reply? Absolutely. But you know what? Stoners constantly grasp at straws when trying to defend their addiction, even ironically labeling anyone who disagrees with it as ignorant. Every single toker I've met in my life has gotten absolutely nowhere. I would've had a lot more fun with this post, but chose not to for the sake of my warning point count.

Let me tell you something right now, pal. Stop while you still can. You'll be doing yourself a huge favor.

I'm 15 and I obviously don't smoke. A good chunk of my family are smokers however so I wouldn't be surprised if I start smoking in the future.

Does second hand smoking count? (I have a lot of relatives that smoke) But no. I'm heavily against myself smoking  but I don't go around judging people for smoking a cigarette. I just don't like how it turns you into someone who is kranky and dependant.

Edit: And I also have pretty weak lungs :/ I blame my father for some reason (he smokes a lot).

Hey look, I'm an immature anti-drug bloke with a bone to pick who thinks he can dictate what other people do with their lives!

I'm really not interested in throwing shit back and forth with you, I've got some hiking in Hong Kong to do today. With that said, I'll leave you with this post, as it sums up my thoughts on the subject better than I could say it myself.

Sorry about the passive-aggressive prodding (though you did bother to respond in kind), as I get sick of people like you who believe only the worst of society use drugs, which unlike your personal experiences, I've never dealt with myself. Perspective is interesting, eh? Been in 9 countries so far, smoked with all sorts of people/cultures, came out of it just fine. Still am fine, in fact.

I do stand by my opinion that you are indeed an ignorant person ("tobacco isn't a drug"...I think that sums up your comprehensive knowledge of drugs), but that's not my problem, is it? You're welcome to believe whatever bullshit you like. I hope we can at the very least agree there.

Erowid, by the way, is widely acclaimed in the professional world. But like you mentioned, your personal biases will completely distort anything positive anything or anyone has to say about drugs. Again, not my problem.

I will begin to take you seriously when you stop putting words in my mouth and judging my character and personality based on your (incorrect) preconceptions. I don't think you will suddenly become mature overnight, but until then, have a good one. :)

I'm gonna give the classic stoner answer and answer this question with a question...

Smoke what? :D

Depends, heh. On what's around, who's around, what's going on, the mood, time, place, etc. ;)

No I don't but my mother and 2nd youngest brother do. Both have smoked since they were young. My mother gave up for while but he was so irriable and her weight went up so she started again.

I always kinda of find it odd how I worry about my health (anxiety) and yet see folks spark up something they no full well can kill them just confounds my brain.

I've got nothing against smokers, this day and age I can understand the calming effect they have on smokers. as long as they don't smoke near other non-smokers and such I'm ok with them if that is their choice.

I don't and I'm glad I will never touch one of those things.

I've tried a hookah before. That was alright. Definitely not addictive. I have no desire to do it again though it was fun and calming.

My brother smokes those vapes... the flavors and smells are nice and all but I don't see the appeal.

Smoking does look cool in my opinion. But why would you throw away your health and money for that?

What was in it? :P

I keed. But something many don't know is that hookah's can also use Non-Tobacco products not to dissimilar to Vape liquids.

I have a couple as such that are just pure flavor things that create a vapor you suck on for taste and fun (see also, playing with the "smoke")

I've never had an addictive personality towards such, so I actually don't feel that with any of the tobacco products I've "tested" over the years. Often to the point of forgetting I have some things and finding them years later :P

One prop I'll give to Hookah's and E-Hookahs/cigs is that the flavor doesn't burn into your mouth and hang around regardless of what you do (brush teeth, breath mint, etc....)

Regular burning tobacco things (pipes, cigars, cigarettes) always leave a fowl after taste that just lingers in your saliva...... eeew

Only thing I'm addicted to is ponies... is that odd?... ahh well, who cares. its still fun :)

I used to smoke, i didn't smoke a lot but i still get the urge to smoke every now and then.

I'm looking to start smoking E-Cigarettes as they give you nicotine but studies show them to be completely harmless, just addictive. Plus they can come in chocolate flavor, so yeah :P

lol I wouldn't say they're "completely" harmless, as the jury is still out on that (no real studies have ever been made so far. Which is why they're the target of political debate atm. But the individual contents are essentially harmless aside from the optional nicotine additives in some liquids. And everything in them is cleared by the FDA for consumption and is in your food already :)  )

Also, work down to Nico free if ya can in at least one cartomizer (I usually have at least 2 just for dif flavors :P You don't wanna normally mix flavors/reuse the same cart for more than one flavor..). If you get one that is.

IMO the Nico ruins the flavor in the E ones... Sooo much tasty flavor.. its like calorie/sugar free candy... but shhh... them anti-everythings will attempt to use that against them.. They already claim that the E ones are "designed to target children with their multitude of flavors"...... ummm.. yeah no....

I still fail to see these massive child targeted ad campaigns in stores..

@ Rockymoo, I won't get too involved with the back and forth you have with KK Slider, but let me just point out that someone's worth isn't measured by how much they contribute to the economy. That's a slippery slope particularly when said economy often comes at the expense of certain groups of people while only the really privileged truly benefit from it.

Secondly, it's funny you should mention smokers are lazy good for nothings while here you are talking to someone who travels very frequently and came up with a much more structured response than most non-smokers would even bother to find the time. I think this is a good time for you to let go of your preconceived opinion of all smokers. Anyone's role can easily be reversed given certain conditions.

I mentioned earlier in this post that I'm virtually intolerant of smoke. I just simply cannot stand next to someone who is smoking. Just the thought of it makes me feel as tho my lungs are bleeding, but that's not to say they're not capable of intelligent conversation or are inconsiderate of others.

I don't smoke and never will. That being said, I know many people who do smoke and it's awful. My boyfriend smokes; he quit because of how much it bothered me, but has started up again. It honestly makes me sick thinking about him smoking and I cry almost every time I see him doing it (it's pathetic, I know, I just can't stand it at all). So no, I don't smoke. I don't want to do something that costs waaaayyyy too much money and slowly kills me. I'm just not interested.

I do feel bad for those who are addicted to smoking and who regret it later on. I have many friends who hate it yet they are addicted to it. Can't imagine myself just how hard it must be to let it go, addictions are a pain the ass I know that much.

I don't smoke nor do I plan on it. I have never seen the point in wasting your hard earned money on something that is going to harm you health. That is my point of view however.

I don't smoke and really have no desire to. My dad smokes, but that's plain tobacco, with a pipe. I've got nothing against smokers or even pot-heads, and just as long as you don't puff your smoke on me, I'm fine. As for the whole business in Colorado, I'm completely for it.

First, it has medical benefits. Second, it stimulates ideas, which are always good. Lastly, it stimulates the economy. Think about it: First they're going to buy pot, then they're going to smoke it. Guess what happens after smoking pot? That's right, munchies! So they drive to the store, where they buy gas to refill their car and then go to a store and buy whatever suits their fancy, only to drive back home. This not only helps the pot stores' business, but the gas companies and the owner of the stores where they guy bought pot, which will then be taxed and given to the government, thus helping us with debt and the ability to advance our country. And other states will have to start doing it, mainly because their is profit in it.

Take Colorado for instance. On it's first day, they rose nearly 7 million dollars! That's crazy!
