Do You Have More Than One "Best Pony"?

When I first started watching my favorite pony was pretty clear, it was Applejack I couldn't explain it but I took an immediate liking to her that has pretty much stuck with me as more and more reasons have been added to my list of reasons why I love Applejack. Luna joined that list sometime after I saw Luna Eclipsed, what I saw was somepony who is powerful yet vulnerable at the same time. She is princess but she is not your typical princess and her struggles to fit in and readjust to a society that fears and mistrusts her really spoke to me.

 

Then most recently came Twilight Sparkle a pony who I did like but I did overlook a bit at first, she rose up because I noticed a few things after re watching a few reruns and I liked what I saw so she rose up to my 2nd favorite and then eventually tying with Applejack and Luna. What pushed her over the top ironically was twilicorn, although I was vehemently opposed to it (though I am currently neutral) it did serve as a reminder as to what I actually like about her as a character.

Nope, Rainbow Dash is best pony to me, and I will never love any pony more than her. Ever since Dashie became my favorite pony, I have never liked another pony as much as her.

Of course I have more than one Best Pony. Personally I'm a rarity fan, She reminds me of the overdramatic soap operas my mother watched. Then it's AJ, Luna, and Fluttershy. It's just soooooo hard to pick one!!!

Fluttershy was my absolute favorite but now Twilight is, with Fluttershy either being incredibly close, or just tied with her for #1 spot. I always liked Twilight but, like you, the Twilicorn thing made me reflect on her as a character and now I adore her. I relate with Fluttershy a lot more, so that is where the balance is I guess.

Even before I was a Brony, Dashie was my favorite. How is that even possible?.

 

Because rainbows. Duh.

 

She still is one of my favorites. But as I went further into the fandom, I discovered these lovable ponies:

 

 

 

 

Pinkie Pie also grew on me, as did Fluttershy. But the aforementioned trio are all my waifus.

I like the mane 6 just about as much as the next pony, but I think Id really have a hard time finding my favorite pony if they gave background ponies more spotlight.

Rarity Is my hands-down best of the mane six, but I often find myself having to pick between her and Sweetie Belle. From a story and writing standpoint Rarity is my favorite because her character has so much depth and her personality is multi-layered. Then again... Sweetie Belle is just so... Sweetie Belle. And she's obviously a robot so bonus points for that.

Yes, yes i do  Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie i have liked ever since i first saw the show! I love Fluttershy because she is so adorable and how she is afraid of all these things but can be really brave. Then Pinkie Pie i love cause...She's Pinkie Pie! She is random and silly and funny, and makes me smile  Oh yea, and because she is PINK!

Yup, of course. I love both Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash as best ponies. I say that Pinkie is my favorite if I absolutely have to choose one, because she's more like me than Dashie is. But both of them are like me in lots of ways, and I think they're both awesome. They're just the first two that made a really good impression on me when I started watching the show.

I think I know what you mean, I literally like Applejack, Luna and Twilight just as much but since Applejack was my first favorite and the first pony I started liking she does have a special place that the others don't. Discord also has a special place as well even if he isn't a pony it was my curiosity about him that was one of the main factors that made me decide to give this show a chance and the first character in general that I liked (the Return of Harmony two parter was the first episode I ever watched).

I like 'em all. Rainbow Dash was the one that got me interested in the show. I don't really have a favorite man 6, I like then all equally. My "best pony" for a side pony is definitely Vinyl and Octavia

I have multiple 'Best Ponies' Pinkie, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, All hit a spot in my heart because I've been like them at some point in my life. And I also have Spitfire as a 'Best Pony' because well, shes Spitfire and she's awesome and I love her haha.

Yep, I have two best ponies. And those two best ponies happen to be Octavia and Rarity. 

They're both that fancy-type type of character which is probably why I enjoy them so much.

I'd say that Rainbow Dash and Rarity are tied for best pony.

 

While my personal favorite is still Pinkie Pie, Rainbow has far more development and Rarity has more depth.

Of course, I have a three-way tie for best pony.

 

That's one of the reasons why my signature is the way it is, because I really can't truly choose.

 

Now, if I was to be completely honest, Rainbow Dash would edge out Applejack and Pinkie Pie by a nose, but I do count all three of them as being equally best pony.

 

I will say that Applejack was my first best pony since she's the one who helped me get hooked on the show. After that, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie joined her ranks and now I can't honestly choose between the three of them, even if Rainbow Dash is ahead by a nose. Or maybe a nose and a half. Hard to tell, but that's why Pinkie Pie is one of my best ponies so she can help me work out the details!

Most of the time I say Luna is best pony, but sometimes I'll call Twilight best pony.

 

I usually consider Luna best pony and Twilight best Mane 6 pony though.

Yes and no. If I have to chose one for whatever reason, Pinkie is best pony. There are so many amazing ponies that it shouldn't have to be a choice though. It's like picking your favorite friend: yeah, you can do it, but why?

I really can't choose best pony, it's just too hard. I have such a long list of best ponies that it's almost ridiculous. Some days it'll be Rarity, some days Dashie, some days Sweetie Belle, sometimes Twilight or Applejack, sometimes Octavia or Lyra. I really can't pick just one!

 

That being said, if I were to be forced into narrowing it down, under heavy effort I would give the spot to the Holy Trinity of Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight Sparkle...

 

 

...and Sweetie Belle, and Applejack, and Fluttershy. And Octavia...

 

...and Lyra.

The term "best pony" usually means personal favorite as since all the mane 6 are good characters and there are also some good secondary ponies "best pony" is relative. But even so it is still fun to say *insert favorite pony/ponies name here* is best pony even if it is not always meant entirely seriously.

No, in the sense that, I only have one personal favorite. I've rarely been known to have more than one clear cut favorite, and Applejack is just special to me. She's got a lot of character traits I admire, she's adorable, and she's very well-rounded. I rarely ever find her unlikable or overbearing, and she certainly never bores me. The fangirl in me says that Applejack is best pony, and that's not going to change.

 

Fangirlism aside, I watch this show because I love all of the Mane Six ponies. They are all amazing characters on their own, but when they're all together they really shine. If I'm using the term "best pony" in a critiquing sense, then I would call all six of them best pony, because they're all equally amazing characters. AJ is just my personal fave.
