I think it wouldn't be a mutant baby, but rather a centaur. And I'm sure that there would be some people who would be mean to it and there would be some people who would be nice to it.

Assuming this were to be present-day Earth, there would already be enough trouble with the issue of gay marriage, so I'm sure plenty of people would shoot this down even faster. I'm sure the most that should happen is to be best friends with the pony, although it would be weird if you fell off the edge into love with one @-@.
