I've heard now that PinkiePony, the rape victim who started the DWM movement, has been doxxed and stalked by Molestia supporters.

 

And you guys continue to defend these people.

 

You continue to paint them as victims of "haters" and just innocent defenders of a blog.

While I may not be part of the DWM movement (they aren't handling the situation well, either), I am disgusted that some of you are so ignorant to the fact that the Molestia defenders are just as bad as the DWM!

 

While they may be defending their blog, that still DOES NOT make it okay for them to send death threats, hate mail, and even dox their opponents! The Molestia defenders aren't victims, they're just butthurt about finally being called out for their actions!

 

And for those who like the Molestia meme, I have only one question to ask you:

Heh, in all seriousness, I think it's best I stay on the sidelines and not get caught in the wave of drama. All dramas die down sooner or later. Coming from someone who's mostly impartial, but sided with freedom of speech:

 

While I agree that was stupid and wrong, and whoever did that is a dirtbag and should feel horrible, the fact of the matter is that it's not as black and white as "Someone on that side did bad, so they must be the wrong". A look at JJs DA reveals that people from the other side have been doing the same to him, I found one comment that accused him of being human scum that gets off on mocking rape victims. He's an awesome artist who gave us the beloved fannon of Luna as a gamer, and it's not right to discount him as a person because he runs one blog you don't like.

 

Every argument is going to have extremists that do stupid shit. I've been through dealing with it in countless debates. 

 

Everyone needs to understand that yes, the detractors have their right to complain about it, but JJ also has the right to make his blog and do his comics. They need to refrain from directly attacking him and trying to get it taken down, as we that support him for one reason or another should respect them not liking it when they chose to be respectful about expressing it.  

 

If they don't like the image it presents, they could be using all this effort to make their own blog and movement portraying Celestia in the way they like to level the playing field(which I'd actually support them in, because I love Celesta as a wise, yet mischievous ruler).

Molestia is a fun blog. I enjoy its humor. I think you may have problems distinguishing between what's real and what isn't. Molestia isn't real, and has raped exactly 0 real beings. Sure, you might not find it funny, but you know what you can do? Ignore it. It's not like it's going to hurt anyone. Molestia doesn't somehow become real and go around raping people. Heck, there isn't even a single sexual thing shown on the blog, it's all implied.  #downwithcake.

As far as I know is that they like to yell things and stubbornly stand by their opinion. I have yet to see any examples pop up, too. Which makes me really doubt if they even know what they're talking about. It wouldn't surprise me if more than half of the DWM supporters don't know who the artist is, if the amount doesn't exceed the number 20 or if they even can describe one picture or post they remember.

 

Not only that, as far as I can remember (I checked the tumblr yesterday starting from the very beginning) I didn't see any jokes that made me go "Damn JJ, you really crossed the line there.". Besides the things you've mentioned (which basically boils down to a humorous approach to abuse of power, quite funny in my opinion) all I've seen is Molestia being a huge perv to both knowing and unknowing ponies, doing really ridiculous things and hanging out with Luna. Not exactly rape.

 

That and I'm pretty damn sure I'm not having memory loss issues.

 

To me, it seems like the DWM parade doesn't really know what it's doing or talking about. No solid arguments have been formed except for one or two yet. It's probably just a very loose group of people with no real strong bond or feeling of unity.

 

This feels like a common weekly drama, wonder what we'll have to talk about next week.

Meh, to be honest, i follow the blog, because i actually find it mildly amusing! There's a warning on it that tells you not to take it serious. (mentioned before). And honestly, you hardly see any more "sinister" images/posts on there. First and for most, it's a depressing situation because when I look at this woman's content, I'm seeing a legitimately good and funny person that's letting their rage and spite blind them and force them to lash out at the wrong things. I almost want to follow her main blog as a little convert peace offering. 

 

Maybe related to the above, I'm seeing a lot of the complaints related to specific posts from APM being based on jumping to conclusions and reading way to much into the unfortunate implications of the jokes(and bringing up things that, from my skimming of the blog, don't appear to be true), or presenting evidence that doesn't actually appear to be evidence of anything relating to their point. 

 

It's at this point I need make a note that I find no proof of the aforementioned attacks on the blog owner, at least not to the extent of stalking her. She's being awful damn calm about it if it's true. 

 

In the end, I hope she somehow finds it in her to make piece and choose to promote the image she does want for Celestia instead wasting precious time crusading against someone else's interpretation.

I read some of PP blog to focus on the manifesto to see that the focus is on JJ and Molestia. A rather big person in fame among the fandom. It makes me think there are ulterior motives here and that's just me.

 

I've observed that the internet can be a volatile enviroment where something like a cyberspace mob could be riled up with ease.
