Are any of your teachers a brony?

Well?

I do online schooling and I never thought to ask my teachers, so I don't know.

Are any of your teachers a brony?

School just started, so it's the best time of any.

This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner.

This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

My Philosophy professor kept mentioning a very hypothetical "purple unicorn" last year in many of the lectures, especially when we were talking about metaphysics.  He was pretty young too, which makes me wonder if he actually was.

Crap..  I just brushed my teeth and now I want sun chips...  -.-   Colgate's gonna murder me.

I haven't gone back to school yet. Still got almost two weeks left! :P

But once I go back to school, I may be willing to ask one of my teachers whose daughter is a pegasister if she herself actually likes the show. :P

I think she might like it but who knows.. I guess I'll find out.

And once I do, I'll probably come back here and post with an update! :P

My school starts September 1st, so I can't say anything yet. All of my teachers are youngish, so one of them might be a brony. I do kind of doubt it, though.

If one of my teachers this year is a brony, I'll probably be extremely happy. Since I draw ponies in class, so they won't look at me too weird.

Even all my classmates are not a brony.

And MLP doesn't air in my country.

Me too repsol! Even on my cable has no channel with MLP with it.

My young philosophy teacher was also mentioning My Little Pony and how people sometimes wish for real life MLPonies by their side. I responded with a sigh :P

He has young children, so I'd assume he had them watch the show at one point.

I suppose making references to the show or even the fandom might grab his attention if he's a brony. Or wear pony related things or even draw or write about ponies in class.

*has a meeting with my lecturer regarding my second year dissertation topic*

*talks about various topic ideas, largely involving cartoon censorship and fandoms*

*discusses various cartoon censorship and fandoms before bringing up MLP*

Lecturer: "Stop."

Me: "?"

Lecturer: "Just write you're essay about ponies."

Me: "Seriously?"

Lecturer: "Yes, this is fantastic."

*proceeds to write my second year dissertation about ponies*

(A couple of months later)

*receives feedback and grades*

*gets a First*

Lecturer: "This was the best paper I've ever read. The external examiner also loved it. I've now started watching the show."

Does that count?

Regarding university.

I don't really think so since they all seem to be quite dead inside, If you know what I mean. Greyish turned-off old depressive looking people, quite spoiled by life itself. I wouldn't ask them anyway regarding this matter since they don't like me that much, due the lack of attention I usually pay to their classes.

Regarding martial arts.

I caught one of my masters looking at pony stuff... was an akward moment since she is the Grandmaster's daughter, very respectful, seriuos girl with deep blue killer instinct eyes. Quite respected around our circle.
I just told her that I won't be telling anybody about her pony stuff, while grinning of course, so she just looked at me and said "You'd better keep your mouth closed or I'll do it for you"  She wasn't kidding, so yeah, I wouldn't put my life at risk. Anyways I couldn't do such a thing since I very much appreciate her.

Regarding my studies about the "system" and their incarnated consciences.

Well, my masters know me since I was five years old and due I've trained with them since the last nineteen years, they knew I was a brony even before I could say a single word in my defense. They're the kind of person that can pierce through your soul, and know everything about yourself just by looking at your eyes a few seconds.
Most of them just smiled at me, while a little bit of sadness went through their faces. They pretty much understand the kind of pain I carry with me. But I don't really think they feel themselves related with MLP under any point.

Apologies for my english, it isn't my first language.

I think my Speech prof was 2 semesters ago. When we were talking about Internet behavior he was talking about online forums and said "Forums are a place where people with similar interest go to talk about it like video games, movie, TV shows, My Little Pony, and stuff like that."

He was also a gamer. So yeah he was a awesome teacher.

Of all the anecdotes presented thus far, this...

My Philosophy professor kept mentioning a very hypothetical "purple unicorn" last year in many of the lectures, especially when we were talking about metaphysics. He was pretty young too, which makes me wonder if he actually was.

...is my favorite. :) My guess is he's either a Brony or knows that enough of his students are Bronies to understand the reference. Maybe his future lectures will involve a hypothetical pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbows?  :P

If any are, I honestly wouldn't know. They don't seem like the type to be watching any cartoons. Not only that, given the general temperament of the locals, I'm sure most students would react negatively should any teacher make that known but the former seems more likely still.

At this moment my youngest teacher is 47 years old. And MLP doesn't air in my country.
I don't think I got any brony teachers :( ah well... maybe next year.

Come again? Your profile says you're from The Netherlands. I know I've come across Dutch dubbed FiM episodes on youtube so hearing you say that baffles me.

. Apparently it's called "Vriendschap Is Betoverend".

No, but my seventh-grade math teacher might've been joked around as an early one...there was a rumor that he had an MLP toy collection. In reality, he was given a pony toy and poster for some teacher appreciation week long before G4 existed. (I think the 90's.) He placed the poster on his bulletin board and placed the pony on his desk, and some students joked around that he had a collection of My Little Ponies, just to tease.

So, he tells this story years later to my class, and a pegasister friend of mine who sat in the back of the classroom chimed in, saying, "So, that makes you a brony?" and he says, "Brownie? What?" (Pretty much every adult responds that way. But it would've been funny if he said yes.)
