What do I think of her?  I am totally in love with her.      She is my all time favorite fictional character.  "Friendship is Magic" has changed the standard by which I judge the quality of all other TV shows, and Pinkie Pie is a big part of why I feel that way.  She should definitely be in the show more, and I love her color scheme.  She does not annoy me at all, but I did think it was funny when they used her as a secret weapon against Applejack.  I guess there are those who can only handle so much Pinkie Pie.  Oh well.  More for me.

 

 

 

 

Bonus Opinion - I love the way that Pinkie Pie was depicted in the micro series comic.  I think they really captured what makes her so great.  Pinkie was so excited win a ticket the Ponyacci show, and she tries to give the ticket away to a stranger who is feeling down.

Pinkie Pie is the ponyfication of pure joy

Her randomness and silliness always amuse me, however I also enjoy seeing Pinkie's more 'serious' side as it adds an extra level to her character. I don't personally think she has 'split personality', its just certain traits (ie. insecurity) are more apparent whilst others remain dormant, kind of like how we try to demonstrate our best side when required and hide other parts. I think she's loveable and loyal but has a side of insecurity, not a split personality exactly. I would like to see more of her background in the next season, maybe she returns to the rock farm with Maud or something?

 

I haven't watched Cupcakes or Smile HD so I can't comment, from what I've gathered about Cupcakes, its not exactly the image I like being associated with Pinkie.  :okiedokielokie:

 

I'm not too keen on Pinkie's straight hair being associated with insanity, after all, she was a straight haired filly, was she an insane filly? Not to mention, there's this  adorable clip of her

She's my favorite of the Mane 6, and my favorite character overall. Pinkie reminds me a lot of myself in many ways. For one, we're always hyper, we like to be social, have friends, and we love to party!
However, the main reason Pinkie is my favorite is because I can relate to her in almost every aspect. We sometimes miss social cues, are easily depressed, and our problems usually evolve around friendships and relationships. 
Pinkie is also the only pony to actually make me feel better when I'm down, and she's so adorable too. 

I also hate it when people draw her as a fat slob. Yeah, Pinkie may eat a lot of sweets, but she ISN'T fat. I also don't think she's an idiot. Yeah, she may not act the smartest sometimes, but she's still smart enough to figure out a lot of things.

So in case you don't know me, I'm a huge fan of Pinkie Pie. I truly think she is the best pony in the whole show. But you might wonder "Chikorita, why do you think this and why do you always fanboy over her?" Well allows me to explain.
 

Pinkie Pie wasn't always my favorite character you know

Yes yes it is shocking. At first, it was Spike. I mainly thought his crush on Rarity was funny, then I think it was Rarity, then Rainbow Dash then finally Pinkie. I know it won't change since Pinkie's been my favorite for I think a year in a half. Anyway my love of Pinkie comes from the fact that I have ADHD. This can cause me to be hyper and energetic as well as not have the ability to hold focus on things for that long. Recognize these traits? Yeah, they're traits that Pinkie has in the show. I always seem to compare myself to her a lot of the time more than the others. Also, I tend to annoy my siblings a lot with my constant talking which is another trait that Pinkie also shares. Even how she acts as a comic relief to the other five is something similar. If you were to compare me and my siblings to the mane six, I would be Pinkie Pie because I am always the one cracking jokes. 
 

Even her reasons to get sad like from Party of One and Pinkie Pride I find similar to me. When she thinks her friends don't care about her anymore, I can relate because when people don't talk to me for a while or just ignore me, I sometimes think no one cares about me or I'm not truly loved.
 

Finally, she just puts me in a good mood whenever she is on screen. With her happy singing (which is another thing I relate to), optimism about life and always seeming happy, I wonder how one can not be mad or angry at her. She is like the perfect example at how to make an annoying character. You don't make them so annoying they annoy the audience just make them so annoying, they annoy the other characters, causing funny reactions. Yeah she is also in my opinion the funniest character in the whole show, Her jokes are yes, sometimes corny, but corny in a great way if this makes since to any of you.

What do i think of Pinkie Pie? Simple: My Master. 

 

She is omnipotent. If people are annoyed its because they are in denial of the joy she brings them.

 

She says "silly things" because she speaks in a manner that is sometimes beyond "normal" logic and is instead "Pinkie logic". 

 

She does not have a "split-personality". The "real Pinkie" is Pinkie,silly.

 

I do not acknowledge Smile HD as that was not Pinkie; just a demonic imitator. It changed not my feelings for my master,for that was not my master in the video.

I am a big fan of Pinkie Pie. I would say she was one of the main reasons I started watching the show. I love that she's so wacky, random and funny and she makes me laugh. And I love laughing!    Plus her control and awareness of the fourth wall basically makes her a god (or pretty damn close) and a pretty powerful pony.

I thought Pinkie was funny, but kind of annoying until I saw "A Friend in Deed" and heard the Smile song. Now, I can't claim to relate to Pinkie as closely as some (I'm not hyper or a 'party person', really) but what I did relate to was her mission to make others happy, as well as the insecurities that come with failing to do so. This added a dimension to the character that made all of the "annoying" stuff relatable to me and made me empathize with the character more.

 

So now she's firmly in the second-best pony slot, right behind Applejack

Pinkie's my second favourite of the Mane 6 and until halfway through Season 2 was actually my favourite. While Fluttershy represents the person I am, Pinkie represents the person I wanna be; loved by everyone. I also really like her mane.

, hiya . Just letting you know that we already had an older topic for sharing opinions about Pinkie, and that your thread's been merged with it to keep the discussion all in one place.

 

Didn't really think much of Pinkie at first, honestly. She was fun and random, but also grating a lot of the time. And then I saw Party of One and realized she was a much more complex character than I'd thought, and one that I could relate to very much. And the funny, sad and relatable moments and episodes just kept piling up over time and wouldn't you know, she's my third favorite character now. There's some really interesting things going on with her beneath the bubbly and hyper exterior.

Pinkie Pie isn't my favorite, but I'll be damned if I said she wasn't really high on my favorites list. I admire her energetic and caring attitude, and she always brings a smile to my face when I watch an episode with her. And as Rainbow would say, "Pinkie Pie, you are so random!"
