So, I'm a bit of a major tech geek, went to school for programming, built my own Linux and Windows machines, studying for A+ certs, etc. I noticed over the years that everyone's computer/work station is different, often an extension of themselves. I've seen people game on massive machines, make beautiful artwork on nothing but a tablet, and build ridiculous setups from a single laptop that rivals some desktops. Here's mine:

Admittedly, my initial setup is for multimedia since I do YouTube videos. However I do everything from coding, to pitiful attempts at art, writing fiction, and high-end gaming on the PC (right). The Ubuntu Linux machine (Left) was built from all the parts I replaced as I upgraded the PC (eventually getting to the point where I could re-built the original build, adding in a mid-grade ATI graphics card for good measure), and the MacBook Pro I've had since 2012. My location is because A) there is decent sound proofing so I can work during the night and not wake anyone else, and B) access to the router via Ethernet cable.

So I'm curious, what does your setup look like? Maybe give a little description as to what you do with your computer that has it setup the way it is. Here's mine:

So what's the story behind your setup?

Damn, that looks like my basement/tech room, lol.

So recently I've been scanning the GameDev.net forums, and I came across a thread called "Show us your desktop" entailing taking a screenshot of your computer. I figured I'd take it one step further... Lets see some deskspaces!

Of course, with mine, you can expect it to be ponified...

What about yours?

2 things to be said about this...

1: Dat screenshotception

2: Dat DS collection... :D

Dat laptop is pretty sick too...

oh god its a picture of a screen looking at a picture of a screen

And the DS games are just the front layer. There is n entire collection of Xbox game cases/boxes/whatever behind them. And yes, the laptop is bewtyful.

my camera is dead so I cannot take picture but I will explain

I sit on the floor with my laptop infront of my bed with speakers to my side playing music while ahead of me is a 32 in TV, my Xbox (I sticker bombed them both in pony stickers) a 1080p HDMI cord plugged into my Xbox, my NES with Super Mario Bros 3 in it my Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash figurine, my xbox controller charger. off to the right is my dads old chair he gave me my Kinect sits there with my Fluttershy plushy

that's basically it I will try to take picture in the future if I can remember to do so

There are enough artists on here... I'm sure one of them will draw it sooner or later.  :smug:  jk.. Sounds epic.

Eh, my desk space isn't all too special. My desk space looks like this almost all the time, considering that I'm too lazy to clean my desk. My desk also used to have shelves, but I had to move them for my gigantic iMac.

I seriously wish I had an epic IMac... Windows really aggravates me most of the time...

Funny to say, I have been thinking about going back to Windows since Mac doesn't have the applications I wanted, but I'm still sticking with this Mac until a couple of years pass by, considering that it's still brand new.

When I used mac (6 - 8 years ago at least) I used virtual PC and just emulated windows when I needed it... It was a bit bulky, but it also crashed alot less...

The photo's old, but the only thing that's different now is my keyboard and mouse pad.

Well here its is. Only have one pony and I desperately need a new computer. Besides that there's just a whole bunch of random stuff. It never looks this clean normally.
