We had a topic about our favorite anime openings, but what about our favorite anime ending themes?

 

Just like before, post your favorite ending themes from animes, and I mean the song following the credits at the end of the episode, not the series finale or something. lol

 

My personal favorite has to be the one from Sonic X, the jap dub, called Mi-Ra-I start!

it's happy and exciting attitude to be energetic and full of life is always a catchy tune that never leaves my head.

 

 

Also the ending theme from the pokemon X and Y series, it's not the best, but it's okay for me to say the least to be catchy and stuck in my head to sing along.

First goes to Azumanga Daioh. It's just so calm and happy and I really like the imagery.

 

 

Second goes to Kill Me Baby because I am a sucker for catchy synthesizers and weird dances.

Say what you will, but I always thought the theme for Beyblade (the non-cartoon/CGI one) was pretty awesome. Yes, it's a show about tops, but they somehow made it strangely entertaining.

The Big O outro for sure, it's just so exceptionally serene that it just makes you feel a bit down when they finally reach the climax of the story.

 

Is it cheating if Jojo's used an actual prog rock song as it's ending theme? I don't even care, it just shows how great that anime is.

Most anime endings suck. They close up episodes with generic still images and slow and unfitting music regardless of the anime's overall genre.

 

Trinity Blood, THE iDOLM@STER and Gurren Lagann were some of the few I've actually enjoyed.

This is my new favorite. Blue Flow from Haibane Renmei.

 

I'm only posting the song, because there isn't a high quality version of the credits and frankly they suck anyway. Just a bad CG rendition of the main character rotating in an awkward fetal pose. Almost does a disservice to the music.

It's more to do with the general surface aesthetic of it not appealing to me, rather than the concept. Though really, the fact that it even has a concept already puts it above most end credits sequences anyway.
