Perhaps. Sometimes I'm a bit too optimistic about things like this.

Nothing wrong with being optimistic somtimes. But in cases like these, were historical evidence overwhelmingly points to it being unchangeable, it is best to just mitigate it to a controllable level, and leave it alone.

Also, the overly serious people in this voting process were a minority, most of us understand that it's all in good competitive fun. For instance, I was kind of mean to Rarity in the Rarity vs. Twilight round, but ghostfacekiller doesn't hate me for it, or for voting against her in this round. Nor will he hate me for voting for Applejack if it ends up being Applejack vs. Rarity. We're still buddies. He doesn't hate me for taking sides, or for being sort of a jerk. He only hates me because of all of those live snakes I mailed him.

You know, I'm kinda neutral on the Pinkie vs. Rarity issue. I love 'em both to death. ...Though I picked Rarity just for Ghostie-poo.

 

Looking at this thread makes me cry. It's a silly contest over which fictional character you prefer and you're all doing an aggressive back-and-forth like you all slapped each other's mothers. It's shameful, tis' what it is.

It's interesting how much this fandom changed. This topic is proof enough that Rarity & Applejack's popularity increases (even if they'll still be considered as 'the least favorite', though I doubt it, season 4 gave them something more than any other - acknowledgement). They're no more just 'that ponies who stand next to Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy and Pinkie'. It really makes me happy. Very happy <3

To disparage any one of them is a small-minded and petty response. Please, I'm begging you... build up the pony you root for, do not disparage the other competitor. None of the ponies represented here would wish you to treat their friends poorly.

Yes, both groups are very determined. Both Rarity and Pinkie have had the lead, sometimes over 5 votes both ways. Although, the Pinkie group did have to make up a lot of ground in the earlier stages, so kudos for that. Still, I think the Rarity bunch will pull through.

This is even more crazy tham Twilight vs Rarity A tie after tie and everytime I check votes are really close. At this point it's impossible to predict who is going to win. I wonder if final also is going to be so intense XD
