gaming If you were a pokemon gym leader, what would be your main specialty type?

Well......I hate to say this, but I'm a jack-of-all-trades, but I would say Water-Types with Vaporeon as my leading pokemon.  *He's a tank in Pokemon Y*

My line up wouldn't be even remotely practical and would be all cute or beautiful Water types like Milotic and Mudkip (yes Gen III was my favorite). I always imagine that if I have a Pokemon world equivalent, he/she is actually a Coordinator, not a Trainer.

I would have to go with Bug type. Only recently did I realize that every Pokémon team I make was at least one bug type.

 

As for Pokémon i would have as gym leader,

 

Pinsir, mainly now because Mega Pinsir.

Ariados, because it's cool.

Shedninja, because screw you! (I took down a level 86 Mewtwo with a level 22 Shedninja)

Scolipede, because it's my favorite Pokémon of all time.

Gavantula, to take care of pesky flying types

Shuckle because everybody needs their own personal tank.

Psychic is best type, so I'd certainly go with that. My team would consist of Espeon, Reuniclus (WOO), Starmie, Malamar and Gardevoir.

Also Pryce was the 1st original Ice type Gym Leader, who Ash never actually beat either. Candice, Brycen and Wulfric are cool in my book along with Lorelei, but Pryce and Piloswine (and Mamoswine by extension), get me undying respect.

But in all seriousness, I'd be a Ghost Leader. I always thought Morty was pretty dang awesome (Don't remember anime Morty though), and I just kind of like a lot of Ghost types. In fact my favorite Pokemon, just barely under Ampharos, is Gengar.

 

So my team would most likely consist of Gengar (Naturally), Eviolite Dusclops (Cuz I'm a jerk XD), Spiritomb, Chandelure, Froslass/Shedinja, and Aegislash.

Normal type or Ghost type. I love both equally.

 

The Ghost type gym would probably make use with Gengar, being my favorite pokemon. The Normal type gym would feature a Porygon2, with Eviolite, and tank everything away.

Actually I changed my mind about what type I'd use. Ghost is cool and all, but I found that I'd much prefer Electric Types. Even though there's been one in literally every generation (Kanto was part of the Gen 2 games). Maybe if there was a useful Ghost/Electric I'd use it on this team, but I'd really rather not use a Normal Rotom.

SO my team would most likely be:

Jolteon (What did you expect?)

 

Luxray

 

Electivire

 

LB Pikachu (I like Pikachu just a teensy bit more than Raichu)

 

Lanturn/Rotom-Wash (More likely Lanturn)

Dragon, bug, or water. Those seem to be my 3 most commonly used, and or favorite types.

 

Most likely I'd be a water type leader with a rain dance team going on.

Fairy type for sure. I'm currently the fairy type gym leader at my colleges pokemon league.

My team would be mawile (muh girl), sylveon, clefable, klefki, togekiss, and azumarill.

If I had to choose another type I'd probably go for ghost.

Fighting types are my favorite Pokemon type since they're just so versatile. Not many types resist fighting, and most of the fighting movepool is excellent.

 

My team of 6 would probably consist of:
