Glenn Beck defending Bronies?  Um.  I definitely wasn't expecting that.  I mean, I know that 7 out of 10 people that encounter the show eventually bronify, but really this was kind of a surprise.

I do not believe in the generosity of con artists. they revolve around the manipulation of others using slight of tongue techniques. You hear what they want you to hear.

Glen Beck and his like have been against all this from the start and when they couldn't stop it one way, they figured out how to turn it in their advantage. Because, that's what they do,

You know, we've got to unite these children who proudly embrace MLP:FiM and its messages against all this bullying and oppression, and also show today's kids and pre-teens that it's not only ok to appreciate MLP, but it's also an opportunity for excitement and enlightenment they could never imagine enjoying ever so. The show's messages are also very important for today's kids as they prepare them for tomorrow's world of collective wellbeing that individuals are uniting together to build.

It's actually very surprising that this happened in Buncombe County, NC as it is the location of Ashville, one of the most liberal and open cities around; then again, as I've seen, the public schools in NC are obviously not very good.

Seeing Glenn Beck (and he certainly looks different than he did last I saw him a decade ago) speak up for Grayson and other kids who appreciate MLP who have been bullied is delightful, but also a little shocking. For example, it's understandable (from what I've seen) that he'd use the word "balls" (referring to one's testicles and/or testosterone levels) to mean bravery or confidence (or the ability to be forceful), but it is a tad bit icky in this case. Of course, people can use the word "balls" like that if they wish, but I personally wouldn't recommend it (especially around children) as I find it encourages brawn and use of force over intelligent and philosophical solutions. All in all, I'm glad Gleen Beck spoke out for Grayson and other kids who appreciate MLP, and I hope that more prominent and/or important people and organizations do.

Gleen Beck also had a very good idea by putting those plush ponies on their desks.

Guess what, I was confusing "Glenn Beck" with "Howard Stern" when I made that posting (I had an empty stomach at the time I wrote it); no wonder he looked different. Now aware of my mistake, I should say that we should also get Grayson some support from the Liberal side as well.

Sorry but if Glen Beck has become this....

Then why hasn't he taken up the fight for Michale Morones or mentioned all the support of the brony community have given them.

He acts as a singular entity nothing more.

I do not trust him or his like and wished he had kept out of it.

I've actually done some reading up on him since this happened, and I actually have some more respect for the man since I read this:

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/372988/new-glenn-beck-eliana-johnson

That sounds odd coming from somebody who is considered one of the most divisive figures in the country, but Beck has mellowed in the three years since his departure from Fox. Reflecting on his time there, during which he vowed to hunt progressives as Israelis once hunted Nazis, and frequently invoked Hitler in his denunciations of the Obama administration, he told Fox’s Megyn Kelly in January: “I remember it as an awful lot of fun and that I made an awful lot of mistakes, and I wish I could go back and be more uniting in my language. I think I played a role, unfortunately, in helping tear the country apart, and it’s not who we are.”

My main objection to him in the past was that he was basically a partisan cheerleader helping to turn political discourse to crap in this country. It's pretty cool that he'd come to realize what he had done and show some remorse for it.

I really dislike the cheerleaders on either side and Glenn seems to be the only one I know of who has fessed up to it and made an effort to change.

So I have respect for him. I disagree with him on everything, but at least now he is someone I can respectfully disagree with.

I listen to the guy and I don't really see the assholey-ness everyone else does. Then again, I'm a libertarian...

Still, I'm glad he's on our side for this.

I am libertarian too. Awesome

Despite my vivid imagination, this is my one foot in reality speaking. I've been around a few blocks and seen between too many lines and everything on these three videos is pure bunk.

If he supports us then where's his support for other things within this that needs help.

Until that happens, All I see is sugar coated snake oil

I don't even know the guy, but as far as I've read here, he is a pretty big person (Whether it is positive or not, it doesn't matter).

It is awesome that the kid gets this support, even if it is just for publicity. And with that, all of us are helped :) It does get me to give him a certain amount of respect, that is for sure.

Something (or someone) is TRULY discriminated against if we can't talk about it

without any fear of suffering prejudice yourself.
