People need to keep in mind that this is a medieval setting. Earth ponies could outrun arrows, and their kicks are powerful enough to send foot soldiers flying back, even if they try putting their shields up. And their flanks are tough enough to keep fighting for a while even if they get hit by arrows. And they have the likes of Applejack and Big Macintosh in their ranks.

But's that's cartoon logic. Therefor Humans are just as strong by cartoon logic.

 

Since we're dealing with sentient talking ponies, then wouldn't the laws of physics go straight out the window? Also, need I remind you of Megan, who needed her locket, and the help of her pony friends to beat the villains in g1?

HAHAHA! No, no, they have no chance of doing that. Earth Ponies haven't shown any exceptional speed at all. Even if they were this fast, a barrage arrows would hit. They're not Spiderman

Doesn't matter when the foot soldiers can just get into phalanx formation and watch ponies impale themselves. Ever seen cavalry vs phalanxes? It's a massacre

You underestimate arrows. They hurt, a lot and considering that ponies get scared very easily and have a mob mentality, a chain rout happening is very likely. Not that it matters since the arrows will hit the chest and vital organs

You asked what the results of humans vs. the earth ponies of MLP would be.

The earth ponies of MLP have exponential strength, not because they're in a cartoon, but because that is a fact of their species.

And even a normal pony from our would would still be stronger than a human. However, they are not sapient, and therefore would not be in a war to begin with.

I'd say human, for several reasons:

1-Humans have superior proportional strength than horses, and despite that ponies are proportionaly superior strength-wise than horses too, I doubt they susprase us for being similar

2-Humans are normaly phisicaly weaker than non sapient animals, that's because we use a greater percent of our function in our brain, likewise those castoonish ponies, they are also rational animals, so they must be weaker compared to their real-life counterparts.

3-We are slower, but we have greater flexibility, though, those ponies are pretty flexible too

4-We have greater stamina, many ancient human tribes used to hunt by tiring their prey, despite their superior speed

5-Size=reach, no need to explain more
