Am I the only one who significantly enjoyed Simple Ways?

Anyways, I'd enjoy to see him back for Season 5.

No, you're not alone :P In my opinion it was the most hilarious episodes in the whole series. That scene with Cowpony Rarity vs Applejewel was funnier than everything Pinkie ever did.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like him at first. Just by looking at his Twitter profile and some of his less than friendly Tweets, he kind of rubbed me the wrong way. His personal character aside, I think he's a great writer and one of my favorites of the new additions. I think his episodes got progressively better as the season went on. Castle Mane-ia and Simple Ways were great, but Leap of Faith is my personal favorite. I can agree with DQ that Haber tends to play things a little bit too safe, but that hasn't negatively impacted my enjoyment of any of his episodes too much. I just hope he can change things up a bit more in season 5. I also agree that he's an excellent writer for Applejack. While Haber claims to be a Rarity fan, he seems to really understand AJ, and that's never a bad thing. Prior to season 4, it seemed like only Amy Keating Rogers could write an AJ story (Applebuck Season, Fall Weather Friends, The Last Roundup.... but thankfully Merriwether Williams has contributed some good stuff and Natasha Levinger also shows promise in that regard).

I think he has a good grip on all of the characters and he's one of the funniest writers on the current roster. I'd say he's a definite keeper.

Only took her until season 3 to finally throw AJ a bone after writing countless CMC episodes. :muffins:

But you're right, that's one of the very best Applejack episodes and I hope Morrow will return for season 5 and give us another gem like that one.

Oh god, she wrote that? Aw man, I thought it was Polsky on writing duties.

Rest easy, CitrusKing. Meghan noticed how much Corey sucked at "Rainbow Falls", so she's helping her more with that episode. Polsky, however, has the one right after it. The one with Spike lighting the Equestria Games torch.

I liked it. it wasn't great, but it was far from bad imo.

As fascinating as this conversation is, I doubt this is a hypothetical situation.  I'm sure season 5 is already being written (you have to remember animation lead time).  If something hasn't already come up that's kept him away from the show, I'm sure he's already written a few episodes for the next season.

If anything, this thread's title should be "What do you think of Josh Haber?"  Personally, I don't mind him.  Actually, I don't really think too terribly much about "Who wrote what episodes?"  If anything, it's more of a curiosity rather than an "I like/don't like this writer!" thing.

Am I the only one who really enjoyed Castle Mane-ia?

No, I love the humor, but the way things played out seemed odd. Dashie's and AJ's screams (happens twice) weren't heard by Fluttershy or Rarity despite being nearby with open space between them. I was just scratching my head over it, but it was good otherwise.

I disagree he writes the mane 6 well. I was gravely disappointed by Simple Ways' portrayal of Rarity.

But I liked her in Castlemania to be fair. I'm so confused.
