Dreaming experiment

So. As we all know we are all fans of the show. Many of us love it sooo much that we want to be in that world where the colorful pastel ponies prance. But we are all stopped by one thing. The screen. I have been thinking of a way to bypass that physical barrier. By taking it into the dream world. I have done some test runs here and there but nothing prolonged. The idea is before falling into the different stages of sleep you play mlp episodes or whatever that deal with the mlp world. I set up my phone playing mlp episodes on daily motion. I have had some dreams that dealt with what went on in the epidodes. Such as the episode may the best pet win. I had a dream where i was a pegasus racing RD down the street.

So i am asking if you guys want to try this and report back if anything happens. It would be a cool study.

TBH, I don't have an easy time having dreams about MLP. The world on screen and our world is so different in the laws of each universe that I can't really imagine being in their world- well, my subconscious seems to think so. In fact, the only vivid pony dream I had was a weird and dark one.

 

It was about humans in a universe almost like ours with illnesses going to virtual but very realistic realities of almost-paradise that would be Equestria so they can be special (in a good way; pertaining to cutie-marks) and happy in a world where everyone needs everyone. (or everypony, in this case)

 

Twilight Sparkle and the gang as a human were all early-20 cancer patients all given the chance to experience life and or "Paradise" all over again. (If I recall the ending and human-counterparts correctly, Twilight was wearing a brunette wig while a very short-haired also brunette Celestia met her down the street during her last moments of life)

 

I have no idea, honestly...

Alright, i see what you mean, what you wanna do is called "Lucid Dream" dreams where you can control scenario and characters and become a god in your dream, unfortunately what you are doing like play MLP episodes just créate a dream about a reference of MLP, what you really need is to be aware that you are dreaming, if may i say i been a lucid dreamer from too long i know how it Works so, let me give you some hints

 

- have sunlight to avoid nightmares

 

- you need to keep your focus on yourself you can counting or try to focus on a song of MLP, but counting is definetly a good choice

 

-say to yourself "am gonna know when am dreaming"

 

-last but not least, sleep again when you wake up following the previous steps

 

once you develope lucid dreaming you are gonna be able to créate a world with sensations superior tan reality since we are not limited by our phisical body i hope it help you!

 

EDIT: i suggest you to investigate more, it is very interesting and it will help you!

I've been experimenting with lucid dreaming a lot lately.  I'm starting to have success.  For the first time in my life, I've had two lucid dreams where I was in complete control.  These two dreams were not MLP related, however.  But I have had three dreams lately that were MLP related, but not lucid.  In one dream I was Rainbow Dash, flying around, doing...something.  I forget.  In another I was Big Mac performing Got the Music in You in the Ponytones.  The third dream was a bit more substantial.  I made the following post about it.

I rarely - or even never - have dreams relevant to things I think about as I go to sleep. I might have dreamt about ponies once or twice, but it was nothing significant.

I'm so sad about that topic...I've never had any dream about my favorite mares nor Equestria. It makes me cry, the fact that my dreams are so random. I really wish that I have a dream about meeting Fluttershy someday.

Actually I dreamt of Nightmare Moon, putting my mind under a spell. She looked scary. And she laughed maniacally as I ran away from her.

Someday I will stand up to fight her in my dreams.

Maybe Nightmare Moon has cursed my dreams.

I know how to trigger lucid dreams. I did it just last night in fact. I've never tried to lucid dream about ponies before though. I should try it sometime. Visiting Equestria in a dream would be awesome!

Yes, the correct way to go about it would be to do lucid dreaming. There are very good websites which talk about this. And best of all, lucid dreaming has been scientifically proven to work.

However, watching MLP episodes before going to sleep is not the correct way to go about this.

 

What you really want to do is first acquire the basic steps of lucid dreaming (just search about Lucid Dreaming using your favourite search Engine). Once your dreams are lucid, you may start experimenting with them.

 

From my experience, I was in a normal dream and when I realised I was dreaming, I just opened a door to Equestria. This is how it worked for me. However, a lot of practice is required and a lot of patience. Creating a dream world such as Equestria is really hard and when you first try it, it is likely that the dream will just fade away.

 

I have only one advice for this is keep trying but don't get too obsessed with this.

I've twice dreamed I was Rainbow Dash except that in the second one I didn't look like Rainbow Dash, nor did I have wings, in fact I was in the form of a human and so was everybody else, I just somehow knew I was Rainbow Dash—so I'm not sure if that one counts. But the first one, it was so cool cause I could fly. In that one though, I'm not totally sure if I actually was Rainbow Dash or just another pegasus, it wasn't totally clear.

 

I find that I tend not to dream of something if I try intentionally to think about it lots when I go to bed to try making myself dream about it. For me, I find that I will very often dream of something, or at least have a dream based off of something, that I thought or experienced momentarily during the previous day, rather than something that I thought lots about. Although, I think the pegasus dream did happen after a day where I watched a few episodes of MLP, but still, I didn't think lots about it right before going to bed.

You know, I have actually lucid dreamed an mlp dream during a car ride when I was sleeping. 

 

So, I was listening to a double-piano cover of This Day Aria (you can find that here: http://mlpforums.com/topic/42929-this-day-aria-special-double-piano-cover/?hl=this+day+aria+piano#entry1254763) and was thinking about what it would be like to have a pet changeling. Suddenly, I feel something warm on my lap. I begin to pet it, feeling the scaly skin of the changeling sleeping on my lap. It stirred very lightly. When I went to touch it's wing, it jolted quickly and made my thumb twitch, which was enough to wake me up.

I had a dream last night about my favorite pony, but this time it was a very romantic one. It felt so real that I was in Ponyville with Fluttershy. This dream was extremely different than the ones I had countless times before. It was like she was my special somepony.
