Scorpan in season 5?

They mentioned Scorpan in the finale, and by Princess Celestial no less! I hoehe comes in Season 5 because he can be used as a major plot device in Season 5.

You know, we've never found out where Celestia's School for Exceptional Unicorns got Spike's egg, for Twilight's entrance exam. Given we've not seen any other unicorn with a dragon like Spike, you get the impression the school had been using that same egg for a 'see how they try' test (not thinking that somepony would eventually succeed) for a long time.

 

Given the connection between Spike and Scorpan back in G1... Maybe there is an actual story there somewhere. Starswirl and Scorpan having some kind of adventure. Spike's egg being found during that, and eventually Starswirl donates the egg to the School, where it sat for over a thousand years, seemingly inert. The School decides to use this 'peice of junk' for said entrance exam, until Twilight's surge. Hrmmmm......

I think that would be good if Scorpan returned in season 5. If he is still alive.

The writers may be planning to have Scorpan appear in season five. He might not have been shown in the season four finale because they wanted to make sure they didn't run out of material for future episodes.   I would love to see Scorpan in a future episode.

I would love it if Scorpan appeared in Season 5, it's sad all we saw of him in the finale was images out of a old book in the backstory Celestia explained. Hopefully he'll appear in full form in season 5 or the future.

I saw something on Derpy News, basically the guy who worked on the show was asked about the return of Star Swirl The Bearded, and he said something a long the lines of "He's waiting for the right time". This basically confirms that Star Swirl will be in the fifth season, and when we see Star Swirl, theres a chance we may see Scorpan as well, as they became good friends. I also think he will build some kind of relationship with Spike.

Did the article give more detail? Really, while it's possible Star Swirl and Scorpan could appear in season 5, it also sounds like they could be saving him for the FiM movie in 2017.

 

Anything is possible though.

FiM Scorpan is based off of G1 Scorpan. G1 Scorpan is a full on rip off of the character "Solars" from Dungeons & Dragons the series. He appears in season 1 episode 10 - The Garden of Zinn. Watch that episode and the G1 movie/pilot and you see how blatant it is. As such I could never fully get into Scorpan of any MLP generation.

Scorpan was mentioned in the season 4 finale. He was Tirek's brother who betrayed him and befriended Starswirl the Bearded. Do you think he will be in season 5? Will Tirek return?
