If two characters want to have a discussion that they don't want other characters to hear, then they can create a scenario like you and Somber Tunes and private message each other so the things they discuss are private. For example if Somber Tunes wanted to tell you about his secrect about the (for example) evil turtles. He could basically do what he did in the RP. He would beckon you over to him, allowing everyone to know that you and him where discussing in private. That way, when other people read the thread, they dont see Somber talking about turtles. Now what if Somber told you that in an upcoming challenge, the turtles would somehow bite and injure anyone who got near them. Now you know not to go near the turtles, but no one else does. Thus, you avoid the turtles but everyone else gets bitten. This is handy, because if Somber told you that the turtles would bite you in the public thread, anyone who read it would probably avoid the turtles as a half-intentional god mode. I would guess that most people here would probably try to play it as if they actualy had no idea and walk into the turtles, but even still it would prevent the few people who did intentionally avoid the turtles. (It's basicly anti-god mode.) Then, in the regular thread, maybe Scarlet Rose walks up to you. Now that Scarlet has kind of "come into earshot", you can't use the personal message anymore, because then Scarlet wouldnt hear you, even thought she's next to you now. So now you have a choice. You can add her to the private message, and tell her about the biting turtles, or you can post back in the public thread, and stop talking about the biting turtles so no one will ever know. It also adds the element of secrets between players. What where you and Somber talking about anyway? It both breaks trust between characters and makes trust with whoever you're having the private conversation with stronger. Really it's just for drama, I think it would make suspicions about other characters way deeper, and make drama feel real, as there are actually secrects between players, gaps in what people know about each other, even when OOC. Is this a little easier to understand? Sorry, I ended up typing way too much and got carried away with my ideas... xD

Hey folks, something I think we could implement, is, in the example of Somber and Peach, perhaps when they are out of earshot of the rest of the group they could PM each other on the forum instead of posting their conversation publicly in the thread. That way, it adds not only mild secrecy and drama, but also prevents subtle god modes by players reading others posts, and then reacting based on them even though their character technically couldn't hear the conversation. However, I will note that I think when players do have a "secret" conversation, the lead-up should be public, then we know that information has been exchanged. (Though we don't know what.) Somber beckoning peach was a perfect lead-up in this way. Really what I am saying is don't PM unless it's OOC or you've posted publicly that you and CharacterName are entering a private message, or have a lead-up to a private conversation. Once the conversation is interrupted, posts would have to be public on the main thread, or the newcomer would be added to the PM so they can see what happens next in the conversation. Also in terms of simplicity we should say that unless it effects the story in a substantial way or/and you simply don't want what you talked about to be public, don't PM in every private situation, just the important ones. That way the story keeps moving and the thread stays active. Little complex, but I think this could make things very interesting. Yes? No? Maybe? Ideas/thoughts?

But, considering I can't see a house that we will be staying in, I guess we may have to do some exploring." She wondered where they would be staying, it was mystery island after all, but it seemed strange that no one was there to greet them and show them around. Or maybe he or she was late? It seemed like a pretty big island...

Don't know if you guys are noticing, but we are currently only one post away from hitting 100 total posts. Also I like the look of this island. Looks like Scarlet's idea of volleyball might come to pass.

Following the others, Pixel Mouse walked off the blimp. Her hooves sank into the sand and she laughed. While she had her doubts, so far, this was worth it! Ahead of her, Scarlet Rose did not just one, not two, but three back-flips! "Wow Scarlet! That was amazing!"

I got a new computer recently, so I've been all over tf2, cs:go and I'm trying to get dayz to work. xD Yeah, really I'm a pc person as I really suck with a controller...

I would like to join as Pixel Mouse, however, I need some input on story. It would be interesting just to have a totaly open RP to do whatever in, but I think some general story is in order so players are semi-forced to interact. It appeared that pixel mouse's wish had been granted, or maybe she slept more than she thought... Through the loudspeakers, came a voice announcing their soon to be arrival at mystery island. Pearing over the edge, she couldn't see much of the seemingly tiny island from the blimp, it looked like it was going to hold up to its name in terms of mysterious, but from what she could see, it looked quite nice.

Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for. If I can put her in the animation, I will for sure. While you say you where rushed, I must say, it doesn't show. Your OC is now in the animation. Got inspired and put em in. He fits in to the scene perfectly. Also I hope you don't mind, but I had to make a few body part changes to make him look as if he where jumping into the air.

Love it...! Now we just have to wait for someone with way to much time on their hands to make this... Oh well, all I can do is hope, but just maybe someone will actually make this.

Life in a nutshell...

"O-o-OK..." Pixel Mouse was't really sure where to go from here... What could she say that would cheer him up? Clearly that crack in his horn left more than just a dent in his future. What could she even do from here... She wished she could find some way to console him, but nothing came. She sat back, and not knowing what to do, closing her eyes, trying to sleep. Hopefully soon this blimp ride would be over...

"UH! Mmmm... Are you...? Ok? It just kinda... Well... Cracked." What did this mean? Would he still be able to practice magic? His horn hadn't fully cracked, only a slight line had appeared in the center. Pixel Mouse guessed he could still do magic, but magic on a high end scale, she didn't know... Well actually she didn't really know much at all, it was all a guess. She didn't really know what a cracked horn meant, she could only imagine it was very bad, due to the tear running down his cheek.
