Someponies will come up to me and ask why I have dolls of human characters instead of the versions that are ponified. I realize why ponies like to have pony versions of characters who are not ponies. It is because when you make something like yourself it becomes easier to relate to. This is why fiction often has characters around the same age as the target audience. It is their way of saying: "Hey reader, everypony hear is just like you! These are your kind of ponies" Well, I guess I'm a purist at heart when it comes to certain characters. If they were created to be a certain species than they should stay that species as respect to their creator. This is also because sometimes ponies get confused as to what kind of pony (or nonequine) species a character should be. There was interest to do a ponified version of the old collection of tales known as "A Nightmare on Elm Street". The pony who thought of this was a stallion named Wes Cloven. Mr. Cloven originally had the idea to make an alicorn because of Princess Luna's ability to see into dreams. Well, Luna herself got word of this and wasn't really happy about the idea of a murderous monster that she felt was a personal attack on her. Not wanting to anger Princess Luna or Celestia for that matter, decided to just make Freddy into a regular unicorn instead. There is also the case of Leatherface from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" folklore. Originally ponified as an earth pony with the ponied name Bubba Sawbuck by Tobe Hoofer, Leatherface was redone by a Michael Rein with Leatherface this time having the name Thomas Hoovitt and being a pegasus. despite being in a family of eath ponies. Leatherface (Hoovitt) was made a pegsus in this version to point out that he had been adopted by Luda Mane Hoovitt the patriarch of the canibalistic Hoovit clan. Now if you must know when it comes to Leatherface I prefer Thomas Hewitt (human name of course) to Bubba Sawyer (again human name) although I guess you could debate about weather or not they are the same character. The doll I have is of Thomas Hewitt by the way which is why he is seen to have a crudely made fake limb made from a human arm bone and a hook . Now all this aside about the ponification of Human folklore I suppose I should discuss the most famous instance of a human character that came not from Human Folkore, but from the mind of a regular pony. Many of us we'll remember the days when we would open up a book by author Ponnie Zacherein and read about strange looking ponies. Mrs. Z. had a strange way of drawing her fellow ponies, but what is interesting is that her books were fantasy stories about these pony characters interacting with a human girl named Megan as well as her two siblings. Some ponies have suspected that there is more to these books then meets the eye, that at one point ponies did talk to humans like the character Megan, and that the strange design of the ponies was actually done to show how we ponies looked at an earlier point in our evolution. In other words some say that these tales take place in a time before the "Great Disappearance of Humanity" when humans somehow vanished without a trace. There has been many ponies who have speculated differently about the fate of humans, but I think that is a topic for another day. Right now I have to go fly off somewhere to do some shoppng down by Sweet Apple Acres.

Equestria Academy series supposedly on the way

There does seem to be a high possability that Rarity maybe more financially secure the many ponies outside celebrities like Saphire Shores and of course the royalty, but I think that is because of her ability to find gems as discovered in "Dog and Pony Show" as well as the fact that such gems are often used for money as seen in "Sidekicks". Now this is what maybe a subtle hint at Rarity's generosity theme in that when she adorns garments with gems she is literally giving other ponies free money rather than saving the gems for herself as they do seem to have monitary value.

There is a problem here. "Lies" are not one of the seven deadly sins. The seven deadly sins consist of Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy, and Pride. Also you only have Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack effected. What about RainbowDash, Pinkiepie, and Twilight Sparkle? People will wonder why only half of the Mane Six is effected. Now you could have half the Mane Six verses the other half, but that would leaave you dealing with only six sins. Nightmare Moon is gone. If you are thinking of a character outside of the Mane Six to show this characteristic I would put my money on Trixie or possibly Sunset Shimmer. A lot of characters could be considered as lusting after power in their own ways. Queen Chrysalis, Turok, Discord, Nightmare Moon, are also characters who did this besides Sombra. This was what fueled their actions and defined them as villians although they did these things with slightly different goals in mind. I would associate lust with Starswirl the Bearded since he lusted after power. It is assumed he may have tried to make himself an Alicorn via artificial means despite the strong hint in recent IDW MLP comics that stallions do not become Alicorns even if the achieve royal status on there own merit. What do you mean by "a literal south"? Are you talking about the Southern region of a Equestria? Or are you talking about a sloth as in one of those extremely slow creatures that hangs from trees? 4.

She has her very own Flattop. Get it? Flattop?

i get nearly all of my plushies at Build a Bear. That way I can take a look at them before I buy them to make certain they are in good condition. The one exception would be my Funrise large Fluttershy which I saw at Toys R Us and had to get simply because it was a large version of Fluttershy. At the time the only other versions they had were Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle.

Well, it looks like the pegasi actually seem to be in the majority here.

There might be some Griffins at the Equestria games because even though they were Griffins they were still citizens of various places in Equestria. Sort of like how Fluttershy is obviously a citizen of Ponyville despite being Pegasus and not an Earth Pony. Chances are she therefore votes for Mayor Mare instead of voting for the mayor of Cloudsdale.

How would ponies react seeing earth horses as mounts?
PittyPaws replied to Invincible's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I would wonder if the strange creatures (I would imagine I wouldn't know what humans are) were pets or something. If I saw that the pony was being controlled by the creature riding it then there would be no doubt in my mind that either the pony was being enslaved, a prisioner of war, or had done something in which lead to it being punished by the other creature's society. -

Welcome to the herd. You mean you actually are learning how to fly planes for real? That is so cool. If you ever create yourself an MLP OC it should be something with wings like a pegasus, alicorn, or griffon since that would totally fit.

Wait. what? So the American presidents attack Twilight? This is the strangest cross over I have ever read. Entertaining, but still rather strange. Obama sure likes his slogans here.

Your character reminds me of this phrase that I read as part of the rules on a book for certain meetings. It went along the lines that: "If you do something good make sure no one knows of it. If anyone finds out you did it it does not count" Now if I met someone like your character I would say that perhaps they are shy, or perhaps they don't know how to react to praise. Just like there are people who can't take criticism so are there also people who have a hard time with praise. Either that or like Dovashy said, he could just be very humble. If you are looking specifically for a mental illness I would say that the closest comparitive example would be patient in the episode http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charity_Case of the House series. If you aren't afraid of spoilers, and would like to learn of the exact medical nature of this House episode then I would suggest going here: http://www.politedissent.com/archives/8087

I have often envied unicorns and alicorns for their ability to write without using their mouths. I do know of a few non magical ponies who have also adapted this trait somehow and are able to hold writing utensils in their hooves, but it's not something I've ever been able to do. Oh, sure. I can hold one of my dolls up with my hooves, but there is a difference between being able to hold a doll up, and being able to hold something up and actually use it to make intricate marks. So like some of you pegasi, earth ponies, and maybe a few of you yet to be magically trained unicorns, here I am writing this blog with my mouth and wishing for for once that I had the same appandages as many of my dolls that sit on one of the shelves in my humble little home. My dolls are based off of creatures known as humans. To be exact they are based off of the human mythology known as the "movie slashers". As to weather or not any of these humans actually existed or were only the stuff of fantasy is something I really don't exactly know. Anyways I'll talk about that later... I'm going off topic here. What I was saying before is that they all have appendages that somehow let them grasp stuff. These appendages are more like the claws of a griffin or dragon. Just like griffins and dragons they seem to have an appendage that ends in smaller appendages. With humans it is different.. They don't have claws like the dragons or griffons. Instead their (I suppose their toes) on all four of their legs ended in rather flat like structures. Now what is odd is that according to some studies they would actually paint these strange structures. What is also interesting to note is that humans became so adapt at using the appendages on their front legs for grasping, writing, and using materials that the appendages became longer. The appendages on the human hind legs remained shorter, but as a result of further evolution these back appandages became the primary means of locomotion leaving the upper appendage completly free to do other things. Don't you wish it was like that for us? I mean it would be nice to walk on your hind legs and be able to use your front ones to carry stuff instead of having to lug stuff in your mouth all the time? Well, at least as a pegasus I at least can sometimes carry a few items via my wings. Still, it does make flying rather impossible when I have to do so.

I like the fact that in this episode they brought back a G1 villian Tirek (I am spelling that right?) who had not been seen since the '80s. This also makes me wonder about the cannonical connection between G1 and G4 if there is indeed any. I'm also glad that the other five members of the Mane Six got some recognition too and were needed to help Twilight Sparkle. This makes it a much better season finale then "Magical Mystery Cure" which was basically a Twilight Sparkle ego fest. The rainbowfied ponies (although those of us who paid attention to merchandise could probably see it coming) was a nice touch too.

S04:E21 - Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3
PittyPaws replied to Yellow Diamond's topic in Season 4 Discussion
I liked this episode simply because it dealt with the fact that people indeed don't all learn the same way. This is one of the reasons there are people who often fail in school because the classic ideal is to put students in a classroom and treat them all the same. Not everyone learns via the classic lecture. -
Your comics are hilarious. Welcome to MLP FIM. I see that you are also a fellow Deviant Art member too.

Wow. I haven't been here in eons. Well not really eons, but you get the idea. Don't worry I still exist it's just that I am usually on Deviant Art. I recently got the official Build A Bear outfits for Fluttershy, Rainbowdash, Twilight Sparkle, and Pinkie Pie. And I am so glad that Rarity is coming out too. What is more they are also coming out with Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell dolls too. I sound like a commercial don't I?
