  1. I got three shirts (and a bunch of bonus stuff!) from welovefine. It took awhile, but was well worth the wait!
  2. I squee'd SO hard! I don't have sufficient words!
  3. I can totally see that, now that you mention it. When I was first watching the show, I immediately saw that Dashie would be the fan favorite, and initially thought that AJ and Fluttershy would be the overlooked ones. I was wrong about Fluttershy, obviously (I thought they would write her to be the weak, simple-minded stereotypical hippie type character, like Pheobe on Friends, but thankfully they have taken her a different direction) but I certainly think that AppleJack is the most under-appreciated character, along with Rarity. Actually, I think that AJ and Rarity are kind of in the same boat-- AJ at first appears to be a stereotypical 'country person,' and Rarity seems to be a 'prissy' mean-girl type. Both are negative images, and most viewers don't give them the chance to break away from that negativity. Think about it-- RD's stereotype is 'tomboy,' and Twilight is bookworm/Hermione, which are more well-received images. Fluttershy was able to break away from the negativity associated with her stereotype (animal-loving hippie). I'm not sure why AJ and Rarity are still wrongly held in the negative light of their stereotypes, though.
  4. Rainbow Dash is a jerk Fluttershy hardly ever flies Pinkie Pie is annoying beyond all reason Rarity... actually I really like Rarity Twilight, too, though at times she borders on being a Mary Sue I wonder if there is a correlation between age of viewer and favorite pony. According to the brony census the average brony is a 15/16 year old male. I could see a 16-year-old preferring flashy Dashie and cutesy Fluttershy and fun/bubbly Pinkie, while someone older and more mature would appreciate how hardworking and dependable AJ is. Just a little theory.
  5. AppleJack is my favorite! She became my favorite when she said the line, "Is everypony ok?" I keep trying to find what episode it was, but I know it was early in season one. I just loved how very adorably she said the line. She is easy to overlook because everypony else is more flashy, but I think her humility is part of what makes her Best Pony! Woah! But, seriously-- That attitude is very unappealing.
  6. Oh, gawd. You should have posted a cuteness warning before that video. I can't handle this level of cuteness...
  7. Certainly Pinkie Pie, with a strange streak of Raging Bitch thrown in there. I suppose I am Applejack with a dash of Trixie. We make an interesting couple.
  8. People who get overly annoyed by trivial things. Oh oh oh-- When people use the word 'ironic' wrong. I try not to be nitpicky (see above) but that one drives me bonkers for some reason.
  9. I love it whenever she says, "Is everypony ok?" It's just the cutest line ever, the way she says it. I think she is really the most dependable pony, along with Twilight, perhaps. Hardworking and honest, serious but fun.
  10. I'm pretty sure that alligators continually regrow their teeth. Watch out, Pinkie!
  11. So, Gummy is a toothless baby alligator, and often likes to bite Pinkie Pie. Which is fine, because he's a toothless baby alligator. But what happens when he grows up? Is he going to grow teeth? Will he continue to bite Pinkie? Also, what does she feed him?
  12. That is REALLY weird to be a coincidence. Also they are listed more or less in order of unofficial mane-character-ness. Interesting.
  13. I wanna know what Kunoichi said! I got a notice saying she quoted me, lol.
  14. I wanna grab you by your Ravenclaw tie, heheheh!
  15. Here, here! I don't like gendered terms. It creates a division. I'm a proud Brony!
  16. Perhaps we were all too busy freaking out about the song, but did anypony else notice Pinkie... err... finding herself and pulling herself up out of the gloom during the song? That was... special. What exactly happened?! Pulled a screenshot:
  17. Each time she appears, I am always a little distracted by her mane and tail flowing despite her being inside and nothing else around her is moving around. What is up with that? 0_o
  18. Why does their moon have to be the same as our moon? The show clearly isn't taking place on our earth (Pinkie's peculiar naming aside). Maybe their moon is perfectly suited to sustaining a banished pony or two (or two dozen or HOWEVERMANY THE PRINCESS WANTS TO BAN THANKYOU!). Also, maybe the alicorns are semi-immortal. In Tamora Pierce's books, there are creatures that don't get sick or grow old, but can be killed in other ways (stabbed, etc.). I would guess/hope that the lifespan for pegasus and unicorns would be the same as earthponys, or else the rest of the crew is going to watch Pinkie and AJ grow old and die. Lookie, we just made Fluttershy cry!
  19. I wonder if there is a correlation between a poster's age and what age they perceive the mane six to be. As in, we see ourselves in them, so we imagine them being roughly the age that we are. It seems like the maturity of the ponies fluctuates at times. Their problems are often those encountered at a younger age (say, mid-teens going to a sleepover) but their roles in the larger roles seem to reflect college-age. AppleJack is clearly 21, though. (My age.)
  20. I know so many great places to camp in Florida. But that is probably too far for most people, I guess? Apple Bloom and Dusk Moon-- What would work for you two? I probably can't go much further than Georgia. Ooohhh- What about Savannah? I love Savannah! I don't know as far as camping, but I'm sure there is something somewhere. There is also the beach! If I can get two "Oh Yeah"s for Savannah, I will start a thread called "Savannah, Georgia Pony Meetup" and we can hash details there. I just want to be reassured there will be considerable interest!
  21. Fluttershy actually kind of annoyed me the first season or so, ESPECIALLY in the dragon episode. She is more likeable in the second season and she has had a few good episodes to allow me to warm up to her, so I like her enough now. However, I certainly like Twilight better. Also, anyone who knows me and pretty much anyone who has ever met me knows me as the hippie vegetarian animal-helper person, but otherwise I am nothing like Fluttershy. It kind of irks me that the animal lovers are always stereotyped as passive and helpless. I'm more bold but levelheaded like Applejack, which is probably why I like her best.
