  1. The point is it actually goes infinitely, and just with the two of them. First, put the -1/-1 counter on the druid and untap her, then tap her again to get G. Second, spend G and Quillspike eats the -1/-1 counter to get +2/+2 for the turn. You can just repeat it indefinitely. I'm complimenting the combo with Fires of Yavimaya and Rancor to let me swing with Quillspike the turn he comes out for an instant win, alongside mana ramp and card advantage generators so I can get the combo out as soon as possible. The issues I have is that I tend to get land flooded (even after reducing my land count to 20!) and I also have a hard time holding off aggro until I get the combo pieces assembled.
  2. Ok, let's apply the same logic to this situation. Tomatoes in a supermarket are usually about $0.30 each. Three tomatoes would then cost $0.90. So then a bit is worth either $0.90 or $0.45? That's a huge difference from the value derived from the apples! @_@
  3. YES. But I'm a strictly casual player. I'm currently working on a G/R deck that wins with Devoted Druid and Quillspike.
  4. Looking at this video, though, I'll try to offer some of my own insight. I can (very very roughly) estimate that there are about 20 apples in Bon Bon's bag. Good-quality apples are usually about $0.50 each at a supermarket, but those apples seem to be on the large size so to be safe I'll use a price of $0.75 each. Then, Bon Bon's bag of apples would cost $15. Therefore, a bit should be somewhere in the ballpark of $3.50 to $4. Can anyone back this up?
  5. Then a bag of apples costs $4,800. I'm now convinced that they're laced with drugs.
  6. Well, for one thing, price and worth aren't the same thing. Worth is an expression of intrinsic value and price is an expression of exchange value. Something with a high price could be worthless! (For instance, a lot of Apple products...)
  7. Has anyone tried to analyze the currency of Equestria? It doesn't seem to come up often in the show, but has anyone figured out anything like an exchange rate for bits to any real-world currency?
  8. Oh, my bad. XD I'm not at all into the MLP analysis scene; even when it's well done, it strikes me as pretentious and unnecessary. Come to think of it, I don't like reviews of just about anything. MLP, movies, video games, whatever! I'd rather not be told by someone I've never met what I should and shouldn't enjoy.
  9. Okay: If you bash episodes without watching them first, you're no longer doing reviews. You're being a speculator, and an overly pessimistic one at that. Which is a surefire sign that your ego is so overblown, you can't tell your opinion from actual analysis anymore. I never really knew who Digibrony was before hearing about this, but if he pulls this kind of crap, then good riddance. The fandom is better off without him.
  10. And I left Saturday night because I had to be at a family gathering the next morning. I'll almost certainly have to do the same thing again next year if that date stays. That's extremely annoying!
  11. Remember the burger scene in "Twilight Time"? That's her latent predator instincts beginning to emerge...
  12. I love it! It makes me think she's a distant ancestor of RD.
  13. It's going to be right after my birthday! Woo! But it's on Easter again!? Why?
  14. Twilight's ideal coltfriend is a book.
  15. I'm glad you feel this way, but I think you might have some deeper issues you need to take care of.
  16. Dissecting a show is like dissecting a frog: you understand how it works better, but it dies in the process.
  17. I think Cadance is a cutie pie. :3 Wait, did I spell it wrong? Or right? Ugh, I can't tell anymore...
  18. Ooh, my favorite genre when I'm feeling masochistic! If it's just a light feeling I usually go for Rogue Legacy, but if I really need to feel punished I play FTL on hard difficulty. And then there's Dwarf Fortress... Oh and I forgot The Binding of Isaac! It's getting a little too easy for me lately but I still love it!
  19. Oh, no no. You must say "everypony" around here. Don't hold back.
  20. Sent a request; I go by Totema on Steam. I hope this is the making of something great!
  21. With new episodes, I try to watch them outside whenever possible. They always leave a bigger impression on me when I first experience them in a place other than my couch or bed. The riskier the place, the better. I watched "It's About Time" while riding the van home from a geology field exercise. See? That's pretty much the only reason I remember the name of the episode. (Not to say I don't love the episode. )
