*Sapient. Angel Bunny is sentient. Chimps are sentient. Dolphins are sentient. Humans and (MLP) ponies are sapient. Although I do suggest we classify him as merely sentient, as we could get him put down instead of jail time.

Yeah, with Tirek and other stuff it seems that an altered version of the past generations are the current Equestria's ancient history.

I like all the music, I find it really adds to the show.

In the beginning there were a bunch of gods, including Discord, Celestia, Luna, and the Tree of Harmony, just doing a bunch of boring stuff, then they all got together and went: 'Dude, what if we like, made a planet or something?' Then they made Equestria.

By themselves it's not particularity unlikely, but combining it with the fact everyone wears a skirt makes it odd. ANd if you're choosing ponies to not wear skirts, AJ and RD are to the top of the list.

Being that this is a fantasy world that has an emphasis on the power of harmony, and that there are sometimes mentioned in the regular show, the songs could very well be a real thing that happens. Or it could be something like background music that isn't really happening but just adds to the show. And there are different types of songs too, where they are spontaneous and random, like the gala song at The Best Night Ever, and songs that seem planned and thought out, like the Super Cider Squeezy 6000 song, that under certain circumstances could even occur in real life(assuming there was a suitable product for such a thing). So what's your opinion on them?

Maybe he stays in a special room at the Canterlot Castle where he can do whatever chaos he wants because Celestia put a spell on it preventing the chaos from leaking out.

I think that Granny Smith is just really old and managed to live that long through being healthy and powerful inner earth pony magic extending her life. And my own theory for why Twilight won't outlive her friends is because Hasbro will make all of the Mane Six alicorns at the end for a final G4 pony toy.

I do believe he's a genius, and I do have some evidence to support my claim, even if it's admittedly not completely solid. When he was Discorded in Return of Harmony, he started acting like a dog. Since Discord changes you into an opposite of yourself, this could mean he normally has as many IQ points above the average pony as a dog has IQ points below the average pony, or something like that. Also, in Pinkie Apple Pie, it showed the ending of what was likely a very deep and philosophical conversation.

I think he would attempt it, and it would severely injure him before he stops his attack, but he would have enough power that he would be able to recover, then they'd reach a stalemate. The crystal empire would live off of however they get food, and Tirek simply wouldn't be able to cross their borders. It would infuriate Tirek that their is a place out of his reach yet nothing can be done with it, and the lack of trade would severely lower the living quality of the crystal ponies. But I wonder what his plan was before Discord came along. It appears that without Discord, the princesses would either track down Tirek themselves, or send Twilight, and the reason they didn't was because it would take longer and more ponies would lose their magic in that time. However, they would eventually track Tirek down, and Tirek couldn't drain ponies en masse like how he did with Discord's assistance, so what was Tirek planning to do when that eventual confrontation came about? At some point he would grow big enough that hiding would be more or less impossible, but still much weaker than the combined power of even two alicorns.

I wonder though if he would even bother getting to every pony in Equestria. I mean, would he really even care about that 0.0000001% power boost he could get by finding the odd earth pony who lives in a cabin in the middle of the forest?

But then, since Tirek + background ponies + Mane 5 + Spike = 1 alicorn at the time of draining Discord would be three times as powerful as Tirek. Why wouldn't he be able to overpower Tirek before, or even during, Tirek drained him?

It's my headcanon that each of the different race's have an immortal leader who has a power vital to a living creatures, and should there be any military action there's a treaty disallowing use the leader's powers in time of war. For example, griffons would control the atmosphere and dragons would control the tectonic plates.

I think the other countries were once colonies of Equestria, then once they became more or less self-sustainable they formed their own governments and seceded with permission, or even encouragement, from Celestia. They would still have very close ties though, to the point where their cities can compete in the Equestria Games the same way as Equestrian cities.

My own theory on it is that he bucked a tree with a huge granny smith apple on it, and it fell down. A simple story for a simple stallion.

Because if Luna and Celestia are just principals, then who's the mayor? Pesident? Superintendant? Other high school principals? Rulers of foreign countries?

Yeah, that would probably be a great episode. And if they did something like that with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle too in which all the episodes actually take place parellel to each other, like what happened in the episode where Spike was pet sitting and the Mane Six went to the Crystal episode with the other CMC, it could be really good. I still think she'll get an apple cutie mark myself though, because her name is APPLE Bloom and she already has a lot of apple farming experience.

I agree it's either because it's all part of Celestia's master plan or the plot, but either way more effort should be put in to make it at least appear the Equestria has a semi-competent defence force.

I don't think he'd be a teacher, because he's more of an equal to Luna and Celestia, and they're the Principal and Vice-Principal. I think past principal who got sent to an asylum, then later returned trying to get his old job back by causing trouble at the school and framing Celestia and Luna for it(to get them fired).

Discord is evil, because he is not the embodiment of chaos, he is the embodiment of DISCORD. And while that is not quite pure evil, it's still pretty evil.
