  1. I was going to be done posting in this thread... BUT LMAO!!! You ain't kidding about that one! Maud is a gosh darn jackhammer. The way she annihilated that boulder to save Pinkie, I was awestruck. Maud is hardcore. I don't think even Bulk Biceps is as hardcore as Maud. Heck, Maud could whoop Iron Will and Bulk Biceps at the same time.
  2. Hi. Hopefully mine will be a bit simpler than others so it won't be too time consuming for you. See my current sig? Here is the original image I used: http://www.amishroadshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/sunset-countryside-pano-reduex-pbsite.jpg (I cropped out the text on the right) and this is the pic of AJ that I used: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/253/4/6/suggestive_applejack_by_speedingturtle-d49ehkn.png Can you make it almost exactly like it is now, but make Applejack not have that bad white outline (which was due to slight transparency issues and resizing) that it has right now? And yes, I'd like it if you could have that text in there saying "Welcome To The Countryside" like I have it now. The font I used was Lucida Calligraphy, but if you have another font in mind, you can PM me and I will tell you what I think of it. Any similar orange font color is fine. Can you do that for me? P.S. To credit yourself in its making, you can put "By DJ Aeron Q." in the bottom left corner if you would like
  3. I will happily smile for you my good fellow
  4. I'm not going to respond to you again. I'm ending this with: I agree to disagree. P.S.
  5. Okay, let me half way level with you here. I do stand corrected that her top speed is mach 10... I looked it up, so, my bad. However, again, you only need mach 1 to create an actual sonic boom, so that's why I was mixed up. As for everything else and all prior of our conversation... I stand by my words, and I'm done with your nonsense. A.J. is stronger, no if, ands, or buts about it. Whether or not you believe that Rainbow Dash's speed is enough to conquer Applejack when she bucks RD in the face as she's going mach 10, thus transferring both the force of AJ's kick and the force of RD's momentum into RD's face... Well, that's up to you in your own head. I just ain't having it. ... Thank God there aren't guns in Equestria, 'cause we'd be arguing about who the better shot would be. I'm done here
  6. Hmmm... I've got a list of possible people I'd think would be my choices. Clint Eastwood, Mike Rowe, Avi Kaplan, or Ryan Gosling. They might not all be actual Narrators, but it's their voices that count anyway.
  7. I learned this the hard way. I also learned that my biological clock is only good for waking me up, and it's not as good for making me go to bed. My freshman year of college, I didn't have any early classes. My earliest was noon on Monday and Wednesday, and actually it was 2pm for Tuesday and Thursday. Yah, I got lucky, lmao. So, I had leeway for going to bed late. Some nights I would just be tired at a normal time of like 11pm or midnight. Other nights I wouldn't go to bed until like 2am or 3am. Since I didn't have to wake up too early, I normally set my alarm for like 10am. My internal clock was matched with my alarm just fine, and it didn't quite matter when I went to bed, midnite or 3 am, I still was fine waking up at 10am. However, when I say I learned the hard way... this is what would happen sometimes: since I didn't always go to bed at the same time, my "sleep time" clock would sometimes go wacko. Thus, there were nights of random insomnia where I just couldn't fall asleep. I tossed and turned. Staring at the ceiling. Then my phone to see the time. And sometimes I would get up and get back on my computer because I was so mad that I couldn't fall asleep. Random insomnia sucks.
  8. Oh, so you're saying that, because all the Mane 6 is drawn the same size, that they have the same strengths and weights? Ha! Riiight... I have a friend who is the same height of myself, and to the eye of anyone they'd assume us to be the same weight and strength. Except that I actually weigh more and am stronger. LOOKS are NOT everything! Applejack is heavier and stronger than Rainbow Dash. Smh. Have you even watched the show? I mean, seriously, this is the most ridiculous you could say. She works on a farm. She bucks apple trees to get the apples. She herds cattle. She plows fields (with the old style PULL plow). She also pulls carts of apple pies long distances. I could go on, but I don't need to. This is unquestionable. She IS a work horse. Yeah I do. It's called a sonic rainboom. Something she must take an uber amount of time and effort to pull off. She don't just go Mach 1 in a few seconds. Even when she saved Rarity she took time to accelerate to a fast enough speed to break the sound barrier (ergo, to make a sonic rainboom). Those feats don't put A.J. to shame. Rainbow didn't knock it down herself, it was the force of the rainboom. Besides, I think everyone is forgetting something here. Rainbow Dash performing a sonic rainboom in a fight would be equivalent to tackling in real life. DO YOU ever see, in a real life fight, say in MMA, UFC, or heck even a street fight, do you see someone tackling someone? NO. It ain't football. Besides that, RD has to go REALLY high up to get enough speed on the come-down if she was gonna use it in a fight. Yes, I know about that equation. I took high school science just like everyone else. What you're forgetting is that Applejack uses ground resistance to do her apple buck kick, thus using the ground as a stabilizer as well. With her front hoofs on the ground, A.J. could connect her hind leg (using her apple buck kick) to RD's face before RD connects her front hoofs to AJ's body. Guess what that means? RD's momentum is used against her. Have you ever heard of "Don't run into a punch/kick"? AJ is stabilized on the ground. RD has no ground resistance to keep her stabilized. SO, when AJ apple buck kicks RD in the face (when RD is trying to connect to AJ at Mach 1), RD's force + AJ's force is applied to RD's FACE. So, I stand by my original post. (Also, you say "hyper sonic speeds" when it's not hyper sonic. Only Mach 1, which is super sonic, is needed to break the barrier.)
  9. Oh Good Heavens people. So much smh here. Look. I HATE to bring this fact in, as I am a humble person and like never flaunt. But... I feel the need to say this: I know Tae-kwon-do. I have been in multiple sparring matches. Now, I am not in the least bit a master, lol. I'm not a black belt. But, I'm experienced enough to know the facts of real life and sparring fighting advantages. So, here's my breakdown of a commonly misunderstood issue: Speed... Speed only has an advantage up to a certain extent. If you take two people that are of nearly the same weight, no matter they're build, then yes, speed has a good advantage. However, there is a point where speed is overridden by weight to power ratio. Someone weighing 150 pounds who is really fast, and who probably has a better response time, is not going to beat someone with fighting skills equivalent to them who weighs over 200 pounds, and probably even just 180 pounds or more. There is a line drawn where the power to weight ratio overrules speed. In that situation where a not so heavy but very quick person throws his or her fastest punch on a person weighing a good amount more, it isn't effective if it is a body hit (of course face hits are the exception). A quick punch to the body of someone who weighs a good amount more aint gonna shake the big guy. Power... Power is ultimately the bigger advantage, if given a weight advantage of some sort. No matter if they ain't too quick. A heavy blow even to the body of the smaller quicker person is a BIG hit. The quick guy will be down, no doubt. It all boils down to physics. Rainbow's only effective advantage is NOT speed. It's her wings. But, in my opinion, that's still not enough. Because there is ONE more factor in this. Sure, stamina is great, too... but that's not it. What is it? Toughness. If you're larger, you really CAN take a hit better than smaller people can. It's logic, guys. A.J. is going to be HARD to keep knocked down, she'll be back on her feet in no time even from a good hit from RD. Now, with all of the "they are friends they wouldn't go THAT far, etc." stuff pushed aside... In a legititmate fight, A.J. has the major advantage. Literally and figuratively, she is a WORK HORSE. She does hard labor, pulling, lifting, and whatnot. She's got larger muscle mass than RD, no doubt (at all). Now, some say "but in the arm wrestling match it was a tie!" - but I just laugh. Arm wrestling is about leverage. It's not just strength... so it's not even close to being a factor in this match. Do y'all remember when A.J. blew the bell of that carnie game thing? And how funny it was to see those apples falling on RD with her expression of "Holy crap" on her face?! Yah. THAT is a factor. I'm sorry guys, but this is not really about bias at all. It's about logic and physics. A.J. is too strong as well as having the weight advantage. In a real fight, RD doesn't have a chance. Power to weight ratio, my friends.
  10. Oh no worries. I do hope you know I was meaning no harm no foul. And yes, it was an exaggeration ... The reasons I dislike him (in the spoilers): I'm not wanting a debate, though, lol. I'm just telling why I dislike him.
  11. This test is worded oddly... And, I found some questions to be quite leading. But, I agree with the general direction of my dot, right, and down a little. In all reality, I would place it a square or two more to the right more, and maybe down half a square or one. I'm a definitely conservative/republican, with some libertarian views.
  12. You do realize what your default/avatar picture is, right? But I do agree with what you said. Although I'd not vote for Nye if I was told I get a trillion dollars for doing it. Sorry, just really dislike Bill Nye. But, what you said about patriotism is correct.
  13. Wow, this is harder to think of one than I thought because I have a few interests that I can see as being appropriate as my cutie mark, and thus, what my element would be, as it follows. My possibilities... the element of: Peace Tradition Conscientiousness Torque (think cars) Sensing Precision Focus or, Wind... (which, besides Peace, Wind would be the most relevant to Ponies - [Pegasus Ponies]) They're following cutie marks would be: Peace - Peace sign; Tradition - a muddy hoof; Conscientiousness - a head with an aura; Torque - a tire, or a wrench; Sensing - eyes; Precision - a Robin Hood'ed arrow in a target; Focus - eye glasses; Wind - of course, blowing wind.
  14. Well... naturally because I am a country boy *ehem* ... I probably am patriotic by default. So, yes... yes I am patriot. 'Merica! Seriously though, I am. I don't think we're "the best damn country ever" by any means. But it's hard to not be patriotic when one literally is excited for the demolition derby, tractor pull/truck pull, and mud bogs at the fair in the summer. I mean, what's more American than hopping up an old beater to ram into people with, and trucks and tractors pulling heavily weighted trailers full bore wide open throttle while rolling the most gosh darn coal y'ever did see? As well as all the hicks in the beer tent going crazy and listening to really crappy cover bands? I know I might be sounding sarcastic, but I really like that stuff, hahaha. I'm proud to be country, and it logically follows that I'd be patriotic. P.S. Ford trucks ftw... lmao.
  15. Mine was also a coincidence! I mean, holy cow it all boils down to this: I would never have become a brony if my friend (whom I met in college) did not ironically (because he's not a brony) say "ponies" as an interjection to mean "what's up?" on skype. What is laughable is that once I told him that I looked up MLP because of him, he never says "ponies" anymore on skype. LOL. So I annoy him by sending him pony links sometimes, bahaha.
  16. Since I have to be at work (in the summer) at 7 am, and since I take some time to become a functioning human in the morning (with my coffee), I get up at 5:30 am. Normally I go to bed sometime between 10pm and midnight. Saturday mornings I try to sleep in if I don't have stuff to do.
  17. Wow! Thanks man! I hadn't realized that before. (before anyone says his link is broken, if you hit quote on his post, you'll see the image in your text field, just right click and open image in a new tab).
  18. Adema, Linkin Park, Korn, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Red... Those are a few of my favorite bands. So, yeah - alternative rock, nu-metal, and grunge are my usual genres. Though, I do like some dubstep, and a little bit of country (but not alot). I'm not really into pop music. Some rap is okay I guess. But I'm pretty much just a rocker.
  19. Firstly, nah, that's not even close to having too much. Secondly, I am the kind of person who, if I am going to have merch from something I really like, I will want to show it off because I like showing other people. However, I have no pony merch, because I'm an internet-only brony, and I've never told anyone (except one single person) that I'm a brony. So, having MLP merch would give me a self-contradictory dilemma. I would want to show friends. But I feel I just couldn't, as I feel I'd get made fun of. Nonetheless, I may just get something and keep it a total secret. I bet I'd probably be fine with not showing anyone. And furthermore, I always liked the idea of getting some kind of subtle pony apparel where non-bronies would have no clue it was MLP related, but bronies would, that way I could find out if anyone I knew was one without bringing it up explicitly.
  20. Okay, so firstly... sorry to be naive, but what are analysis bronies (and/or what is the analysis in and of itself)? I'm intrigued, kind of. Secondly, I support the previously posted idea that bronies should at least try to follow the "love and tolerance" rule of thumb. With that being said, some people just won't. However, the problems occur when the mean-ness goes back and forth. That's why I will sometimes try to be the pacifist/mediator of such [arguments/what-have-you's relating to being mean] things. Lastly, people should try to agree to disagree more often. To end, I will post something that I often post as the ending phrase of my post: To each his own.
  21. Online: I'm friendly, understanding, down to earth; I tend to type long detailed things; I like telling other's that I'm a country boy; I'm an internet-only-brony; and I don't cuss much at all online. Offline: I'm still friendly, but tend to be a bit more 'to the point' when talking (so, I'm more blunt, rather than just down to earth); I cuss more often offline, but I don't swear like a sailor by any means; I tend to be outgoing only towards people I feel are close to me, and shy towards less-close people - so I'm a bit more secretive IRL; I am pretty humble, so I don't really flaunt about much offline. In a way, the online me shows more of my true-self than the offline me. I tend to hide my true feelings sometimes IRL. Only one person knows I'm a brony. I won't tell anyone else (at least, I just can't right yet)... because being in a more traditional, small country hometown, where some people are kind of hicks (seriously)... They would either be disowning, or would make fun of me, and call me a hypocrite. I can imagine them saying "How can a traditional, conservative country boy watch MLP!?" So, I keep it a secret IRL. Sometimes, though, I try subtly injecting MLP partial quotes (that make sense in the context) into conversations with certain people, just to see if they catch it, but nobody ever has.
  22. No way... I couldn't. Besides, even though the feelings I got watching it through the first time were stronger than now, I still am not burnt out, and likely won't ever be.
  23. Lmao! Now that is ridiculous! However, self titled albums are not all bad, as long as there are no song names that are the band's name. For instance, Adema's self titled album is one of my favorites.
  24. Guys, what about when Twilight has all the alicorns' magic and she flies by Rainbow Dash with a shiny purple trail, as to which, Rainbow says something along the lines of "how did you learn to fly like that!?" (from the s4 finale)
