  1. Actually, I think that earth ponies do have a special ability, and that is super-strength. They use that ability to do engineering, work, and inventions. They build things so often. They can build a machine used to cast magic and spells, and they can also build jet packs for flying. On my initial post, I talked about how different ponies match up with different personalities, and earth ponies are the stronghold of the other species.
  2. I think that cursive writing is definitely a USEFUL skill to use because as a matter of fact, you definitely need to use it as your signature on your accounts, credit cards, to pay the bills, etc... You just learn cursive writing so that you could learn how to write your name that way when you need to sign something like a contract.
  3. My ponysona's eyes are inherited by her father who left her since she was a little foul. And yes, she does use dark magic, but by book and caution. She's a good pony.
  4. Nice work! I could not have said it better myself. Question: If Twilight and Cadence's DNA changed throughout their change from ponies to alicorns, is it possible that they might live a little longer despite not being immortal like Princess Celestia and Luna? It would also be interesting if the male alicorn is an artificial alicorn like Twilight and Cadence.
  5. To be honest with you, I find your interpretation of the Equestrian constitution quite comical. I even have a few laughs myself. rofl
  6. 1. I wish to cuddle and snuggle with Corey Taylor (Stone Sour/Slipknot) 2. I wish to visit Des Moines, Iowa for a road trip 3. I wish to have a full collection of Slipknot memorabilia I'll be ABSOLUTELY in paradise if at least one if not all of the wishes are granted.
  7. I can definitely see where you guys are coming from, and I would like to add an emphasis on the importance of Alicorns in Equestria: The species of ponies do match up with personality. Earth ponies are workaholics and engineers, unicorns are the artsy and nerdy types, pegasi are pilots and meteorologists, and last but not least, alicorns have knowledge of government and power to serve other ponies' needs before themselves. The reason why I think alicorns match up with the government type personality is because they have to run the place and bring civility and protection to a territory. Alicorns have superstrength, ability to fly, and have extensive array of magic for a reason, running Equestria takes A LOT of power to maintain a civilized nation. Back to human reality, it's not different in the American constitution: "By the people, to the people, for the people." Alicorns also have to obey Equestrian constitution so they don't get too overpowered, and that is where the knowledge of government comes into play, so here's some pony government for ya, now go hug an alicorn and say thanks! The idea of alicorn guards could also bring up the idea of male alicorns too!
  8. You actually brought up a good point here. Have you heard of a zorse (zebra-horse hybrid)? In order for an organism to be a species, they have to find a way to keep the species alive in high populations. So with eh zorse as an experimental example, they are not a complete species because they cannot reproduce to keep that kind alive. Alicorns may have a low fertility/birthing rate due to the rarity of male alicorns in the populations. However, if there were a high number of male alicorns balancing out the female alicorns, we would have a higher population, so the alicorn is still considered a species due to the rare number, therefore they're capable of reproducing. I think another reason why there's a rare number of alicorns is also due to their wisdom. I would be referencing the OC trouble with alicorns about overpowering them. If you have a thousand alicorns in one room and they have a war with each other, that can cause an abnormally extensive amount of chaos, destroying the entire universe in the process.
  9. I think that a male alicorn is possible, but I think it goes in two ways: 1. Natrual Alicorn (Celestia and Luna) theory: A species cannot survive without having two genders regardless of method of reproduction either dioecious (male individual and female individual) or monoecious (one individual with both genders), and since we see that the ponies are dioecious we can assume that the same thing goes for alicorns, so in order for Celestia and Luna to exist, the mother has to reproduce with the help of the father. It would be consistent if two alicorns of different genders reproduce and then be able to continue the species. 2. Artificial Alicorn (Cadence and Twilight) theory: It depends on the ponie's character and status. Cadence moved up towards the royalty ladder, so she became an alicorn as a result. So far we only have female unicorns being the most likely to lead the status since unicorns are most intelligent and therefore be able to know the workings of government which is an essential skill to become a princess. In my opinion, it would be rare for a male pony to become an alicorn because Equestria is looking for those who are emotionally strong, not someone who is egotistical and then all of the sudden get jealous of the other pony with a stronger status. In one of the episodes of My Little Pony, King Sombra was king of the Crystal Empire, but he cannot become an alicorn because he established himself as a dictator, not a true king.
  10. Obviously, my most least favorite ponies are totally agreeable. Rarity, Prince Blueblood, and Diamond Tiarra are definitely not my favorites, and I find it not so surprising that there are A LOT of other fellow bronies agreeing to this. This is unanimous!
  11. I see where you are coming from, and I think that the females stay near the hive because they have to learn to maintain the hive as the queen first before settling to move it to different areas like what Chrysalis was doing. The role of the females are basically the same roles in the alicorn status which is government. Males on the other hand have to work and support the queen and protect other future queens. The only males that do not work in the hive are the drones, and they are there for reproductive purposes. All I can say is that if you want to understand the changeling colony, look at the bees first.
  12. I feel that Ed Edd n' Eddy and Courage the Cowardly Dog should last longer. I miss those shows A LOT!
  13. Why sure thing! I have always expected my gothic pony to give a few ponies some nightmares. Why thank you! It didn't take long for me to work on it. Only a day is enough for it to be complete.
  14. I just got done with my ponysona, Veiled Spike.
  15. I usually stay up until 2 to 3 am in the morning. I am really good at adapting to sleep schedules when school starts back up again though.

    mega thread Feminist Club!

I can definitely see why catcalling is an issue, and I would like to add more about the issue. I think that if women are considered people, they should also take responsibility for their own actions just as men do. And for the men's side of the issue to not look down on those who are much responsible. Women can abuse, assault, and catcall men, but we do not mention it because it degrades our image as feminists. The problem is that the only thing that degrades both genders is the fact we craft our image instead of being honest (even if it's brutal honesty). There are abusers that are able to get the help they need from support groups. I truly believe that the same kind of help should also be available to women who are abusers as well. It may seem like I'm getting off track, but I think that applies to any catcaller regardless of gender. That would be my comment on the video.
  17. My ponysona, Veiled Spike, is currently my RP character as well.
  18. I developed my OC, Veiled Spike from a self portrait of myself I have done. I combined my ideas with the things in my life and interests. I am in the gothic subculture, so therefore it's a gothic pony. I am artistically inclined and so I made her a unicorn. The idea for the name Veiled Spike came from the pony name generator on Deviantart. By the time I learned how to draw ponies, I got to work on my first OC, Scarred Rhythym. He was initially supposed to be a part-alicorn part-chaos bringer from the inspiration of Ink Rose's headcannons on the history of Equestria, but I decided to make him a jersey devil since he is much similar in appearance to one. I have incorporated him as a supporting character to Veiled Spike's background story. I am currently using her as a roleplay character on one of the roleplay forums.
  19. Veiled Spike waits at her seat for Applejack to come back with food while drawing the scenery for ideas for her upcoming galleries and collaborations. She then thought about a fellow artist and best friend, Scarred Rhythym, a jersey devil with a good heart. Just as she is stuck on cloud nine, she snaps herself out and looks around to see if Applejack came back with food. The thought turns into just a glimpse that flashes her mind and goes away.
  20. Veiled Spike looks to her right finding Applejack sitting next to her. Veil said, "Hey Applejack! glad you found me and decide to watch the show with me!" Veil smiles a heavy grin and then looks at the stage to watch the rest of the show while eating the last bite of the first hot dog and took a sip of her own soda.
  21. That is one hundred percent Rarity approved alright. Now she can go fighting with style!
  22. I have a unicorn OC, but your concern sparks up quite a theory for me. I think that people do not want earth ponies because they want something that is going to completely stand out. I could tell you that my reason why I chose a unicorn instead of an earth pony is because earth ponies tend to go for engineering, inventions, and hard work. I am more of an artist, going to college, and musician, therefore I have a unicorn personality. Someone with a pegasus personality would most likely be pilots or study weather. I do think those with an alicorn personality either want to dominate or have good knowledge about government and how to run it.
  23. For the TV show franchise, I do not think that it is going to get darker with the exception of the opening and ending of the series. However, for the fandom, there's a dark side to that just like every fandom. Therefore, yes and no. You are talking about the fandom side of it, not the TV Show side. I to not expect the show to get anymore dark soon, but the fandom is just like what you describe. People could argue that the TV Show is dark in a characteristic manner. For example, on the episode, "Putting your hoof down", the episode is dark because at first, we encourage Fluttershy to be assertive until it got to the point where it crossed the line, by then, she became a horrible pony as a result.
  24. I'm usually unavailable half of the day because of school, but I'm willing to chat and take art requests give or take. My Skype username is: crisahitna.hyscirs
  25. Yours is quite adorable to be honest with you. I also have a ponysona as well that I hand-drawn myself. Anyway, the line-work is not so bad, could be better on the shading and highlights, but other than that, great coloring choice!
