  1. Only one that I know of. It was last year or maybe the year before that. I was in a cafeteria, like in a high school, possibly my old high school, and there was a guy with a Chrysalis blind bag. When I had this dream, the set with Chrysalis had yet to be released, so (for some reason) we played a game of Yugioh to see who got it. I have no idea how this dream ended. I'm kind of glad I don't dream about this stuff on a regular basis (as far as I know, I only remember the weird dreams), it would signal to me that I've become too obsessed with this and that I need to do something else.
  2. I've gotta ask, why is this a big deal? This happens all the time (seriously, this fandom is full of drama queens). Unless... wait, Tommy Oliver, wasn't he one of the Power Rangers?
  3. For reasons I cannot explain, salad dressing. I'm not entirely sure which kind, I think it's vinaigrette, but whenever I went past the sink (inevitably completely filled with dirty dishes because I lived with slobs) and there were bowls with salad dressing left in them it made me nauseous. I think one time it made me gag.
  4. For about 3 years now it's been one of my biggest obsessions. I've been introduced to other good cartoons through it, and it's allowed me to meet a lot of new people, online and in person. It's also brought out a little bit of creativity in me, and made a hobby out of collecting the toys. It is also the reason I can't let anyone else into my bedroom.
  5. Just 22... I thought I had more than that. I guess I'm too picky.
  6. That, and I think they'd prefer the brushable hair. It's a selling point, since the kids will be brushing and messing around with the hair (and eventually learning that it doesn't grow back when it's cut). Think about it, how many dolls have molded hair? Speaking of which, I think the brushable manes are more costly and difficult to make, since some of the cheapest toys have molded manes, but brushable tails. I'll also say, styled brushable hair looks way better than molded, it just takes a little effort, is all.
  7. Online, it depends on if it's a forum or a chat. With forums and other places where it's just comments, I probably come off as more of an ass than I actually am. If it's a chat, then there really isn't much difference if I were talking face-to-face with someone.
  8. My birthday's in the summer, so I was usually a year younger than my classmates, so I was in 8th grade when I was 13.
  9. No, I had one that I captured myself, but I traded it to a wizard for a book of spells.
  10. Well, consider that a number of people in the US have this idea that Western Europe and Canada are some magical happy place where people are accepted for their differences just because they tend to be, collectively, a little more left leaning on social issues.
  11. you're looking at two instances in a state with a population of millions. No matter how publicized they were. For my part, I've been to over a dozen meetups in Charlotte without anyone saying a word. Anyone who's come up to talk to me when I'm wearing an mlp shirt has usually had something nice to say. Most of the time, people just don't even care at all.
  12. I have on several occasions taken my frustrations out on inanimate objects. I've also been known to yell and swear a lot, but that doesn't happen as often anymore.
  13. You don't have to call yourself a brony if you don't want to. I was introduced to MLP with Friendship is Magic as well, and I've never called myself one. If you like the show, you like the show. You don't have to take on some stupid title just for watching a cartoon. And I know that the fandom can be pretty craptacular, but it is worth sticking around, you just have to find the right places to stay around, and which places to avoid. I can't say if this is a place you'll want to stick around, but I'm sort of like you in keeping away from... undesirable parts of the fandom, and this place seems alright. Not perfect, but I'm still here. If you want to avoid all of the drama and stupid arguing, you may want to find a forum for people who collect MLP toys. It's focused mostly on the toys (of all gens) and there isn't much show discussion, but it's the most mature part of the MLP fandom, since most are in their 20s and 30s. It's also predominantly female, as well, so not much objectification there. If I may also make a suggestion, I would also recommend avoiding large parts of tumblr, because that place gets really ugly, really fast.
  14. I fell down about 10 feet onto concrete and cracked my skull when I was 14. I don't really want to go into the specifics of what I was doing, just that I was being more of an idiot than usual. The fall also gave me a dent in my skull that the doctors had to pop out, and they did in the same manner you'd pull dents out of a car's body, interestingly enough. I've also got a scar on my head from where they had to cut to let the blood out. Luckily, afterwards I was no more brain damaged than before, but I do have narcolepsy because of it. At least I got a cool scar out of it.
  15. Yes, I was trying to make the worst OC I could think of. The machine gun leg was a personal touch. It still makes me laugh every time I see it.
  16. I think it's partly for the crappy OCs it's been used to make, and how easy it makes it to pop out an OC. The irony of it is being a tool used for making Original Characters that doesn't really allow for originality. Which is where my dislike of it stems from. Some of the ones made in it are alright, some are the super lazy kind that are just straight up recolors, some are the idiotic (but funny, and also kind of sad at the same time) red/black alicorn kind. It's kind of funny that I made my OC as a joke, but still ends up being more original than many OCs out there. And here's a tip for the ones saying they can't draw- trace. It will look better than free-handing it, and you have a reference to make the body, mane, and tail just they way you want. Because while Pony Creator can make some really bad OCs, making one as bad as this requires a personal touch. Actually, I think the background may be used in Pony Creator, I can't recall.
  17. Actually, G4 has probably the most wasted potential for toys. Previous generations had hundreds of different ponies made, but G4 does a lot of Mane 6, Princess, and CMC repeats with a few new characters with each wave of toys. There are a bunch of background ponies and secondary characters that would make great toys, but they never do anything with them. Oddly enough, during the first couple of years of G4, they had a variety of characters, but they stopped for some reason.
  18. The only questions they care about are: Can we make toys of this? and If we make toys of this will they sell? They'll probably stick to princesses unless they can be convinced that it won't have too negative an effect on toy sales to make a character a queen instead.
  19. My shift start at 7, so I get up around 6:00. Sometimes I'll give myself 10 extra minutes. On weekends it varies a lot. It could be as early as 6:00 or as late as 9:00, depending on how long I've stayed up.
  20. When I was little, I wanted to be a cartoonist...for some reason. Then I wanted to work in Chemistry until my Freshman year of college when I found out I kind of sucked at it. Then I switched to Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Graphics (Drafting) after I started at Tech school. Now I'm a drafter at a cutting tool manufacturer.
  21. It's been pretty meh so far for me, with the exception of the premiere and Griffonstone, which I loved. And usually I'm not very critical at all of any episode, really (I still don't get why people hate Rainbow Falls so much, and please don't let me know), but most of Season 5 has been a letdown. Part of it for me was the promise of a change from slice of life stuff (which they've been doing for the past four years) to more of a fantasy adventure series, a la G1. When it went from an adventure in a whole new location to back to the same old stuff, I was disappointed. They weren't bad, but they weren't as good as I was expecting. With any luck, things will pick up, it's still far from the point where I lose interest in watching.
  22. You, specifically. You know what you did.
  23. -I clip my fingernails and toenails too much -I Speed a lot more than I used to (it is done in situations where it is not unsafe, it just kills my gas mileage) -I drink too much soda (although I do need the mid-day pick me up) -I can be too much of an ass, especially at work -I also don't know if I'm drinking too often or not
  24. This has always been one of my favorites. I remember this one from a looong time ago, back in the day when we still had dial-up at our house, and it took 30 minutes to load a two minute video (those were the days...), and me and my friend would watch stuff like this on eBaumsWorld, because it was a year or two before YouTube. CONTAINS HILARIOUSLY GRATUITOUS SWEARING
