  1. The new Gravity Falls is THREE weeks away now. Alex must be telling the truth, that this one and the following ones will be VERY plot heavy.

  2. Well that was amazing! Certainly lived up to the hype!

  3. Equestria Games was pretty good episode... now to see how good the finale is!

  4. So close to finishing S4. Only have Equestria Games and the finale left. Heard really good things about these two, so I'm really excited!

  5. I collect VHS's (albeit that's literally only one thing at the moment... want to expand it.), retro games, and LEGO. I also collect things like Amiibo. I do want to collect other figurines (including MLP things) and plushies.
  6. While this theory is interesting, I think it's more likely that they've developed similar technology to us, but still having it different. For instance, tires could have had an entirely different purpose in their world. Also, they've simply developed those things with the idea of their hooves in mind, and managed to use them without hands. Or at least that's the way I see it.
  7. So there's a new Skype rival called 'Discord'. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with everyone's favorite draconequus.

It's actually pretty good, I've been using it for a few months.

I heard it was a really good app. I just heard about it last night, and I'm trying it out today. Telling a few friends on Skype to get it, too.

  8. Well Dreamworks, the creators of the original Despicable Me movies, had gotten a lot of success with Minion-related merchandise, and thus they began to put them everywhere, as an attempt to appeal to people who like cute characters. This sounds fine on paper, however they've taken the merchandising too far. Now I don't have anything against merchandise, I support it, but when it comes to the point where your product is imprinted on every possible thing, then that's gone too far, but I digress. Basically, Minions are completely over-saturated, but as long as people lose interest in them, they should die down soon, only for something else to take it's place.
  9. All good things must come to an end, some before others. Now, there's a few things here that I should address, even if they don't directly apply to MLP. Firstly, later seasons don't strictly HAVE to have 26 episodes. It's a common trend for the show, sure, but there are shows with a large sum of episodes per season, like Steven Universe. However, there are also shows that are destined to end in a short period, like Gravity Falls. That show is bound to end either during this current season, a possible future one, or a movie. Not to mention Over the Garden Wall. Needless to say, modern animation is taking steps back and forward in terms of shows' length. Only time will tell how long MLP will last, but I do think that it'll end once the writers run out of ideas. However, seeing the world they've built and the characters they've developed, and plenty of questions to answer, I don't think it'll end anytime soon. My guess is that Hasbro will keep Gen 4 running longer due to it being their most successful, and possibly just try to add in new elements.
  10. I'd have to say Sonic Rainboom, Lesson Zero, or Dragonshy. It's better to start off someone sometime in season 1 or very early season 2, since it's still the beginning of the series but it's not towards the very beginning, which in my opinion is pretty weak in comparison to the rest. Edit: Also, Party of One is what got me into the series, so I'd say that one, too.
  11. It depends on the type of games you enjoy. The original Fallout games were more of a top-down RPG that has a more automatic combat system than in the Bethesda incarnations. If you prefer the FPS/RPG genre, then I would recommend getting the NV DLC, as I do hear that is very fun. If you prefer a more strategy based game, then I'd recommend the first ones. Also, as people said previously, NV has a ton of mods you could get for it.
  12. Oh well, there's still good people there, so I'll hold back my complaints, no point in letting bad eggs spoil my time.

  14. So one of the few non-hostile subreddits I've seen, the Gravity Falls one, is becoming even more hostile as we speak. Oh Reddit, why must your community be so biased?

  15. Well, by the time FiM ends, there'll be even more great shows to watch and talk about. So I'd probably still remain a fan, but watch other shows regularly. After all, no fandom truly dies.
  16. Getting so close to finishing Season 4. Can't wait to see what happens in the end of S4 and throughout S5!

  17. So Ashens apparently once reviewed a Pop Station that actually had a couple fun games. This is an amazing feat for humanity.

Yeah it really is low quality. But nevertheless, it's entertaining to see them, and to think about why anyone in their right mind would genuinely want to buy them!

I just went on the Dollar Tree website. I'm not gonna lie, some of the stuff on there looks pretty bad!

Haha, I suppose they do have some bad things. I haven't really noticed them because I don't head there too often :P

      Yeah, that's quite understandable ;)

  18. That giant worm creature from 'Three's A Crowd' is one of the first things that come to mind.
  19. So I'm about halfway through Season 4 now, and I just keep loving the series even more. I've actually never seen TWO overarching plots be juggled at once, so this is really impressive...

  20. Steven Universe has to be my favorite CN show of all time, though Over the Garden Wall is a close second. Adventure Time and Regular Show are also some of my favorites!
  21. Although messing with the moon would be a big problem, since it could cause major confusion in Equestria, so it'd be a double edged sword, really. I like to think of the main family reunion being just that, a main one that houses relatives from all over, while the smaller one is more of a yearly thing that has the same name, but it has different meanings. I could see them just having the same name for both of them but still addressing them based on how large they are. I'd say Apple Bloom is somewhere between 8 - 10, so it would make a lot of sense that she just wouldn't remember the previous one, and so they're considering this one her 'first' one, AKA the first one she remembers. But the 'senior moment' thing also seems like it could make sense, since well Granny can be a pretty silly character. From what I heard, AJ and AB's parents are deceased, and they could be avoiding any mention of them because well it's a kids show, and it's probably very devastating for them. Although it is a problem, at least there's headcanons and theories to help patch up any holes
  22. I'd say MLP is more of a slice of life/fantasy, but yeah there are a good chunk of slice of life episodes.
  23. (Firstly I'd like to say that I apologize if this is in the wrong section. Still fairly new to this forum ) It seems like the topic of how long a moon is in Equestria has been up for debate for some time now. Some propose it's a year, others say a month, but in the end no one knows for sure. However, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring and try to see if I could figure out how long it is, and I think I may have. So in the first Equestria Girls film, Luna says that the portal will close in 3 days, and won't open again for 30 moons. Then in Apple Family Reunion, Granny Smith says that they have a new family reunion every 100 moons. Of course this just doesn't add up, as there has been too much growth in the apple family for it to occur once every year, and Twilight being stuck in the human world for only a couple months wouldn't really be hugely catastrophic. So that pushes this off the table. However, I think there is a way this all can add up, and that's if there was a complete lunar cycle every 1.7 weeks. This would allow 30 moons to be the equivalent to 1.5 years, and thus allow there to be a large Apple family reunion every 5 years, or 100 moons. The former would make sense because that is a lot of time to be trapped between realms and have it be potentially dangerous for Equestria, while the latter would make sense because it allows time for significant family growth (and physical growth in characters like Apple Bloom) as well as allowing there to be smaller reunions in between then. Although this all is purely speculation, so if you disagree or have a theory of your own let me know!
  24. While I'm not experience in pony RPs, I may join, curious to see how they go.
  25. I do agree that there is a lot of potential for games based on MLP. Not to mention that, seeing as Gravity Falls is getting a game and Steven Universe already got one (albeit it's an app, but I hear it's very good, Paper Mario-esque), it may not be impossible for MLP to get one soon. Seeing as RPGs and Platformers are very popular, either of those would be pretty fitting for the setting. However, another idea could be a rhythm game. There's multiple good ones (from what I hear, anyways) out there, so it would be fitting for MLP to have one where you could have the songs be songs from the show. Although I still do think an RPG or Platformer would be better suited for the franchise, a rhythm game still could be a fun and interesting idea. Not to mention that Final Fantasy got a rhythm game, so I mean anything can happen at this point.
