From what I remember, yes she was kinda. It may have ironically turned into a situation similar to that of Bronies in general, in which she was talking about / posted everywhere to the degree of over-saturation, so people may have started to turn around and bandwagon against her just to make people shut up. Just a theory of mine, though~

So, one thing has kind of bothered me as of late... Anyone remember / know about that fan character Nyx? I think she's originally from that fanfiction "Past Sins" (which I now have a hardcover book of), correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, I remember back in 2012-2014 or whenever, everyone was talking about her, making fan art, plushies, RPing as her, etc; she was a very popular and beloved character it seems. Well to my surprise, after coming back from my multi-year hiatus away from the fandom, I come back to people doing kind of the opposite: making fun of the character, making memes out of her like "compared to this, was I really that bad?", etc. So it has me wondering...what happened while I was gone? x3

I'm pretty sure the end-all result is that if the product comes directly from Hasbro / isnt part of some fancy collection / statue series, it's gonna look bleh when compared to the actual show characters.

Hmmm... In my opinion, think of it like this: Imagine a unicorn's (or whatever else's) "power" as an expandable power source / generator, like the ones found in Sim building games. They can provide power / magic up to a certain point / limit, but unlike actual generators, this upper limit can expand and grow higher. So in my opinion, giving someone your magic / having it stolen is like giving someone that generator and/or plugging it into something else.

I personally think that Sci-Twi is a great character. Maybe not 10 stars, but still pretty high up there. To be honest, I kind of prefer her to Pony Twi in the EqG series. Something about pony-twi coming to the human world and trying to act like a pony...still leaves a bad taste in my mouth Now yeah, I get it, it makes sense that she'd do so...still doesn't excuse the cringe x3 Now, on that note...I will say that her self-isolation from everyone in FG (and to some extent LoE) isn't the greatest plot point for Hasbro to have set for her, especially her refusal to do magic related things during LoE. Yes, being some evil power-hungry monster thing would prob give me PTSD too if I was in her shoes, but for a while it seemed as if she refused to get over it / try to move forward in that movie. Glad they made her better in the Specials / Shorts though~

Thats legit me. I didn't really pay attention to much of anything fandom-sided (besides some stuff like Fluffle Puff) until just recently. Now, to be fair, I'm not a fan of EDM music, so missing out on the fandom's music isn't that much of a hit to my psyche... x3

((Well first of all, in order to understand part of it, let me reference that my old main OC was a carbon copy (same colors, eyes, cutiemark, etc) Stallion named Vergil Noire, and that most of my RPing / OCs come from pony sims on Second Life, so there may be references to characters / people I've RPed with on there. Now that you know that...)) Name: Virdia Noire Gender: Female / Mare Sexuality: Unknown, presumed Bi Species: Unicorn Height: Average for a mare (3' 4" I believe) Age: Around 22 in human years Appearance: Muted grape / gray colored fur Dark shade of black mane and tail, styled in a long, loose feminine fashion, one side of her face / eye covered by the mane Red / Crimson colored eyes Slightly above average curves for a mare, small cute snout. Cutiemark: An open book / novel with a quill and bookmark Talent: Writing various forms of literature, mainly fiction (and Romance on occasion), being a Scribe in general, and all the magic that is associated with such. While nothing happened at first, overnight the true effects of the misfired spell took hold, transforming 'him' into a 'her'. For a week or two after the fact, she spent the majority of her time trying to find out what happened, and ultimately, how to change back to normal. However, upon finding out via a scroll describing a very similar situation (albeit minus the genderbender part), she found out the changes were, as far as pony science and research know of at least, permanent. Upon having a discussion with a young, possible trainee bat pony royal guard about her hidden deep within feelings / dreams she has had however, she decided to stay as a mare forever, as it was deep down what she really wanted.

Ah. Still fun to imagine that they were approaching the moment of "eh, we need to think of SOME kind of twist here...fuck it" near the end x3

Considering me and some friends came up with a theory that the writers didn't originally plan to have Grogar turn out to be discord, I dunno really.
