These villains also believe that whoever disagrees with or opposes them is a bad person. Therefore, many of them are very paranoid and pay little to no attention to the opinions of others. These villains may be greedy or hypocritical, but cannot even see it. Worse, some of them tend to blame other people for the destruction they cause (especially those who oppose them) while, in reality, it was their fault (e.g. Koba, John Ratcliffe, Shiro, Bradford Buzzard, Dawn Bellwether, General Lunaris, King Runeard and Slagar the Cruel). Many Honorable characters have a common theme of finding a "worthy opponent" and thus want the hero they fight to be strong or get stronger. Otherwise, villains who pretend falling in love with someone (usually for greedy reasons) or possessive egotists should not be added here (e.g. Gaston LeGume and Biff Tannen), even if they're not pure e or affable villain: Villains who are genuinely polite and friendly in spite of being villains. They will frequently both speak and act in an extremely polite and thoughtful manner even to the heroes they face (though some of them may be two-sided about it and might occasionally provoke or insult them during a fight, though that is a rare sight for them) and their friendly and considerate nature often comes as a surprise to both those heroes and possibly also the viewer. That said, they are still capable of losing their temper and will sometimes (temporarily) shed their polite nature if faced with defeat. Only true Affably Evil villains will regain (and retain) their polite nature after facing their defeat and will more likely than not, respect the hero even more. In some cases, god wannabes, as stated above, can already be some kind of deity and have gained omnipotence to some degree, but wish to go one step further and become a supreme being; Thanos and Bonechill are good examples of this. On the contrary, omnipotent Reality Warpers, such as Anthony Fremont or Mad Jim Jaspers, despite wielding god-like powers are not God Wannabes, except if they proclaim to be God on a regular basis.
