Ha, I've got a friend who goes to Japan at the same time I'm going to NY He fond of Japan culture too. Really good answer. Yep! I don't know why most of tourists going to Moscow, yeah there most famous landmarks there but, Moscow not a tourist city! It's not really even easy to live here. And Yeah it's good decision to not try local fastfood, you need a local person who could tell you there is safe. It's not so afull how it could sound but salaries in Moscow bigger 2-3 and more times than in other Russia, so a lot of different people comes here from all Russia, Eastern Europe and Middle East, and not all of them lives by law. And there no Russian culture in Moscow, I was born in Moscow and to see culture of my own country I have to go to other cities. Moscow it's great mix of cultures from all other the world. And about myself (I created topic in early morning at local time, and I had to go for work, so now I have got time): I had visited a lot of towns and places in Russia, but never was in Siberia and Kamchatka (really want to go there but it's farther from Moscow than NY ). When i was a kid I was with parents in Greece and Egypt (Yeah Ancent places was marvelous, but I never was a fan of that counties). With my sport school I was in Bulgaria and Slovakia. And I had a school trip to Sweeden and Finland - that was really great countries for me - I liked almost everything there. Last summer me with 3 friends drived this route - Moscow - Minsk (Belorussia) - Warsaw (Poland) - Krackow (Poland) - Beckov (Slovakia) - Bratislava (Slovakia) - Wien (Austria) - Praha (Czech republic) - Dresden (Germany) - Berlin (Germany) - Brest (Belorussia) - Moscow. And this winter, the same company, but +1 - Moscow - Smolensk (Russia) - Vilnius (Lithuania) - Riga (Latvia) - Velikiye Luki (Russia) - Moscow. I can tell really a lot about these routes, but my hands will die then So I'll Just say that Best town was Krackow (Best food also was there and best hostel too), at second place Praha and on third Dresden. After that I was in Bansco (Bulgaria) it's skiing resort so try to gues that I was doing there? And now I'm going to NY. My top places I want to go in future - Brazil, Iceland, Denmark, New Zealand and Kamchatka. And I have got plans about Germany this summer (Mainly because of GalaCon) - estimated route - Ludwigsburg (GalaCon!) - Stuttgart - Munchen - Innsbruck (Austria) - Vaduz (Liechtenstein) - Zurich (Switzerland) - Moscow. We planing to go there by plane but by autostop between cities, and yeah it's sound strange but GalaCon Main goal of this trip and only two out of 4 of us bronies. About reason of traveling - I'm tired of writing already, and there was great answer - I do not need a reason, I just want to.

Hello! I want to hear your opinions about traveling – How much have you traveled before? How? (In group, with friends, alone, by car, by plane, on foot) Are there places which you wanted to visit in the future? And what you main reason to travel? Everything you want to tell. Also I would be in U.S. New York in two days, and wanted to ask some questions (and it’s not for New-Yorkers only). Can you recommend me places that should be visited (Tell me everything – sighs, cafes, museums, shops… Just everything, do not think that it would be banal or not interesting to me ). Can you also recommend me food I should definitely try? (One of my favorite things in traveling is trying different food, so it’s the same as with previous point – everything – cafes, snacks, drinks – one more time – even if you think it’s banal, you can even just wright you favorite food and I’ll try to find it) It’s most likely that I would travel alone and for 2 weeks, so if you know – there in NY best place to meet with new people (strange sounding question, but I hope you will understand what I meant by it). P.S. Yes I’m a little nervous to go to different country, at almost opposite part of the Earth globe alone, without knowing anyone.

You need to call yourself a brony. I've started watching MLP pretty long time ago, but started call myself a brony only this year. Why? I just didn't feel that I'm a brony, even if I've loved the show, brony music and already was registered there. So I belive that only person himself could decide if he want to be a part of brony community or not.

gaming Tabletop games (pen/paper RPGs, adventure board games, strategy games, etc)
HungryTroll replied to Evilshy's topic in Media Discussion
Gravedigger's mod: ON. I love board games. Realy love. It's one of the best ways to spend time with friends. I could play for days without stopping (Never had time to try that ). And about my favourite ones: 1. Myrmes - yes strange choice, but I have got 3 friends who loves it too and it's always brainburning. 2. The Castles of Burgundy - it's interesting, calm and relaxing. 3. Citadels - If you have got good gaming group, it's the best game ever. 4. Mafia - good choice for big groop, but I'm realy suck as mafia. P.S. Have you got Board game clubs in U.S.? I would be in NY soon and wanted to visit it. -

Yeah it the worst. I'm sometimes out of schedule too. in day like that it's better not to oversleep, or it would be realy hard to return to original rhythm.
-
I had. But i've created sleeping schedule - every day I'm going to bad at 11:00 p.m. and every day waking up at 5 a.m. So now I have got no troubles with sleeping, and every morning I have got good mood. I think it's pretty crazy I had this problem then I was a kid. I slept with knife under my pillow - it's realy helped back then. Try it. Seriously, even if you an adult.

I watched MLP at first place because of negative portrayal. I have watched "Teens reacts on MLP" (well it's not most negative thing I've seen, but still...), and Bronies reaction after that, and thought - "These guys sertanly know that they doing, I need to try series myself". And more about topic - I was asked plenty of times if it's hard to be a brony in Russia, since there concept of masculinity is stronger (that's not my words)? And only now I've undestanded why it's not - No one knows about G1-3, about G4 itself, about Toys, about Cloppers and etc. "Guy loves cartoon about ponies? Well he strange one, maybe even gay." - it's maximum negative reaction I've head about here, since none knows about MLP, no one can tell something realy negative.

Russian with big part of Polish, Ukrainian and Belorussian blood in my veins. Sorry but I always thought that in Yugoslavia was plenty of nationalities and not a lot of people called themselves Yugoslavians, more likely Serbs or Croats and etc., I was wrong?

Is being the "silent type" looked down upon?
HungryTroll replied to Gone Airbourne's topic in General Discussion
I was quiet for all my life, does that mean that I can't talk to people? No, I don't think so, a lot of people thought that I'm extrovert at first time we met. But I just fast geting tired from communication, and even more I don't see reason in it. That's who I'm. That who introverts are. Thought about it most of time its not shyness it's just imposibility to find reason of communication, and guilt because of it. Yes I've one day undestended that I'm not shy, it's just my excuse to not talk to people then I have to (come on, since childhood almost every one listens everythere that all normal people communicate a lot). But I'm not shy, I just doing what I want! And about being looked down upon - by extroverts may be yes, since it's ok for them to intercommunicate a lot and have fun from it. I have mush more to write, but it's too tiresome for me. Hope that I had stated my thoughts clear enough.- 101 replies

Why you should be proud to be a brony
HungryTroll replied to Tia Is Best Pony's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I'm really happy for you. If your friends mean to you because of your hobby I belive that they are not your friends at all, and it's much better to lose them now then it the moment you really need them. And belive me there a lot of good people in brony community and outside it too. You'll find you friends, real friends. When I became a brony, I have not lost a single friend because of it. It was like that - "-Are you waching my little pony now? -Yes -Ah, ok." -
How are you going to watch Season 4?

As not naitive English speaker, I could recommend you only two things: 1. Read a lot on English (I reading on my language only books which were originaly writen on it) And I belives that it does not really matters which author you will read. 2. Write a lot. (DO NOT use simple words, it's better to sit with dictionary for 3-5 minutes but find a word that better express you thoughts than use every time simplier analogue) Thats how I'm learned English (Whan I started reading I had read only one page of light book in hour. But yes, I still have problems with grammar and times)

What is your favorite drink?
HungryTroll replied to Kitty Cat Moonshire's topic in General Discussion
Definitely Tea, especially the Black tea, especially Earl grey, without sugar or with honey. And on second place i think it's milk or apple juice. -
I'll be in New York next month and really interested in places that should be definetly visited there. So if you could please tell my that I should not miss. Of couse I'll going to see stereotypical sights like Empire state building and Statue of Liberty, but what aboul less known places?
