There are a lot of thread which just contain a single YouTube video and a sentence or two. These threads usually generate about 8 replies and that's about it. People, YouTube has a comment section you know. Although I can understand wanting to share a video with the guys on the forums so instead of making a thread about it it should really be put into the Masterthread that's already set up instead of making a whole new thread about it. In conclusion, I think that this should be a rule that you're not allowed to make a thread with just a YouTube video and a comment about the video. Of course if there's a big discussion linked to the video, then yeah go ahead, but threads like this and this shouldn't exist but threads like this one should be allowed (well if OP decided to put more effort in that is, so actually it shouldn't).

Wow, what can I say? This place has got the worst quality posts ever and nobody does anything about it. And if I do, then I fear getting warnings from mods for not contributing to the discussion, heck even if I do I still get a warning The problem with these forums is that it's too nice. Yeah I know there are a lot of people moaning about moderation being too strict and whatnot, but seriously it's too nice here. I'm not saying being nice and welcoming is bad, yeah I'm totally for it. We're good enough at welcoming new members and keeping discussions in a happy mood but what's not happening is that new members are not being criticised for posting like idiots (as they are expected to ). So what happens is the situation we've got now with people who have many hundreds of posts but still post in a horrendous manner. You may say, "oh! who cares if we post like this, its not as if it effects you in any way". Well, no, maybe not. But it does mean that I'll find it a lot harder to read and understand and it makes you look like an imbecile and 9/10 times I will ignore your comment. Not because I'm mean, but because you're too lazy to make me care about your comment. I can understand problems with grammar and spelling to an extent but capitalisation is just a matter of effort and really, there should be a strict rule against it (that's if you're posting seriously) Well, what to do about it? As a normal member, if someone does post like that, be careful in how you correct them, people are easily annoyed by this. Also if they quote back at you regarding that at all, completely ignore them, it's off topic and shouldn't be discussed on-thread. I also request that we're allowed to do this^ or as a compromise, we're allowed to do that as long as we have something else in our post which contributes to the thread. So basically I'm requesting that we're allowed to moan about the thread/post itself rather than the discussion. Of course this is only a small part of the "quality of posts" problem that's here, but nonetheless I hope this could be a small step forward. So overall, keep being nice and welcoming but please do not let people get away with constant low quality posts.

This thread should totally be called "How not to capitalise letters". Come on people, it's like 20 times harder to read just because you couldn't be bothered to type properly.

I don't think this is much of a threat, probably the least threatening thing I could think of. Cartoon ponies.

I don't understand having a favourite character with this show as I guess I was completely fixated on all the little things in the background which added to the story. I loved the detail in that sense. My favourite scene is the end of episode 7. When Sayaka cracks it and stabs the witch like crazy. Overall, I was a tiny bit disappointed with the final episode as I'd have preferred a dark conclusion. But I guess it was still ok, wasn't at such a great standard as the rest of the show (except the boring first episode). The intro song was pretty bad imo as well P: although every single outro was great (even when the intro song when was played at the end as it made lotsa sense). That's all I've actually got against the show, absolutely love everything else. (That cat incubator thingy what's-its-name isn't evil) Apart from the amazing attention to detail in storytelling, the other aspect I thoroughly enjoyed was that I felt I could really relate to the characters despite them being completely different from myself. I could understand their grief and tribulations as well as their way of thinking and decision making. Some truly amazing characterisation.

In a story telling sense, analytically, the first two episodes are above average. Not super amazing however as it does have some flaws (it's difficult to follow for one) but on the upside there are some really great story telling techniques used - overall it's good. You've probably overlooked some points. I've only seen the first two episodes though. I can understand where you're coming from by things not adding up. It's slightly clunky in its ordering but the way each part is shown is nicely done.

What's the topic? I have no idea what I'm supposed to discuss, what one I preferred to watch, what one is critically better, what one I'd like to live in, what name sounds better, what one I like to discuss the most, what one I like to hate on the most (SAO for me huhu)? Some effort please

Did they fix the big problems of having to replace batteries every time you ran low? I know the Game Pad does, but do the new controllers? Also is it easier to connect your controllers?

Oh yeah, for some reason I decided to run full force into a brick wall in school, although that failed as before I reached the wall I fell over, and there was a slidey floor. So instead I slid full force into a wall and destroyed my wrist. I still have no idea why I did that :V

Hahah, true! In theory it should work, but in this current situation there's quite a few people with around 1000 posts who still can't post properly. Again I agree with you but many topics there are just full of posts with the exact same argument and points so once it's answered that should be the end of it and this is generally because of the OP who either 1) Makes an unclear OP 2) Creates a single argument thread which can't be discussed, only answered as only 1 individual would ever take the OP's side, which is the OP. So the full thread is just everyone trying to convince the OP otherwise, but then some people just read the OP and are convinced and don't read on and pretty much re-state OP's opinion in the same way but nicer, because people don't read topics blahhh Actually in the case of no 2 it's probably more accurate to say that nobody listens to each other and it turns into a debate pit thread rather than all of that what I said there.

Oh man you're like the exact opposite writer of myself. I have like 0 ideas for a universe like the one you've created but I've studied English writing for quite a while and I've got a big bunch of notes of stories I'd like to write - just never had a fantasy universe to write it in. The way I, personally, would create a universe, would be to create a skeleton of my story so that the universe complements the story rather than trying to fit the universe to a story. I just realised all this stuff is off topic > That also works for the story, you need to have a point/theme for the story first so that you have the story fitting around the theme rather than trying to insert a theme into a pre-written story, you can usually feel that once you've finished. Anyways back to what I was saying, once you have the universe complementing the story you end up having each and every single thing there for a reason and that's some darn good story telling. For example like in my story there's a reason why it's raining and not sunny etc. whatnot. So there'd be a reason for each of those names you've chosen, a reason for each quantity, for each name for each colour for each something something. That's why you can never over analyse classic stories. I do not know if this relates to the OP but I'm typing this anyway so have a fun bump.

Um, well instead of banishing things to the debate pit, can't you just lock them so that people will realise when a topic has gone sour or when a topic is silly in the first place or they'll learn how to create a clear-cut OP. Keep in mind that we are getting a lot of new members so they are learning how2forums. I don't think it's suitable for the current situation with a tonne of low quality-high quantity posters. Otherwise, hell-yeah, it's the best bin ever.
