planning MLP: FiM Stallion Style
WordplA replied to DarligPegasi's topic in Everfree Planning, OOC & Discussion
So out genderbent counterparts go off to some other place and have adventures there? It should work, assuming nopony wants to play the fillies and colts, anypony could feasibly be brought along. The general idea of the RP lends itself more to a slice-of-life exploration of how switching genders changes things around from canon FIM anyways. -
"Well I got this really really big one this morning, and I'm sure it means something important is about to happen. What if it's Nightmare Moon again? Spoooky!" Pinkie yelped suddenly and somehow managed to literally bury her head into the ground, quivering. Twilight stared blankly for a moment before putting her own thoughts into Applejack's problem. "Well... between your trees and Pinkie's intuition I really wouldn't be surprised if something's amiss. The only problem is, we have to find what." Twilight ran through some scenarios in her head, a mere microsecond of thought spared to thoroughly consider them, but she couldn't come up with any satisfactory conclusions. "I think we'll have to do this the hard way, just hoof it and figure it out as we go along. Right?"

planning MLP: FiM Stallion Style
WordplA replied to DarligPegasi's topic in Everfree Planning, OOC & Discussion
Well I leave it up to you guys, I'm fine either way. We could always loosely follow the plot of MLP from beginning to end, like playing out the genderbent major events while allowing for side characters to have a prominent appearance. -

Oooh, alright. Well... huh... that's gonna be hard. I guess, from 'episode to episode', I might have to switch characters so I can be present? -
Zoop's Delightfully Decadent Rap & Hiphop Thread
WordplA replied to Zoop's topic in Media Discussion
OH MY GOD A RAP THREAD I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE THE DAY!!!! Anyways, I'm going to comment on the above because I don't trust my own taste in music enough to post my own favorites. He's got a good flow, and the song motif is pretty nice. Not a lot of wordplay though, and that's what I really look for when I listen to rap. One line that I got any reaction out of was: 'throbbing from his rod incisions So you started fishing, websites and call him b------' Because fishing can be fishing from the previous word rod or phishing like online, and the next word is websites. Am I weird for basing my love for rap on stuff like this? -

I think most of those names are sourced from the fic On A Cross And Arrow, right? Anyways, I'd like to be a genderbent mare if you please? Either Red Gala (Big Mac) or Damsel (Shining Armor, if we can find an excuse for Dusk's older sister to come to Ponyville for a bit). -
"Trees... acting funny?" Twilight shot Applejack an inquisitive look. "Well the book I've been reading on duplicative magic postulates on the effect of that sort of magic on flora... besides that, nothing much." Twilight wasn't a botanist- if anything, Applejack should have been the one to have that sort of information. "Why do you ask, AJ?" "Ooooh!" Pinkie interrupted buoyantly. "I bet the trees have mad tree disease, or they're being scared by a tree thief, or Bloomburg's going through tree puberty and bullying the other trees, or-" Pinkie rambled on for a bit while Twilight sought out Applejack's gaze and rolled her eyes. Sometimes Pinkie could be a handful. "- And then I said oat-? Oh wait, I know! I bet it has something to do with my new Pinkie Sense!" Twilight nodded to herself. Now that was a sensible thought.

What if your least favorite pony is lying injured?

((Grahhh totally forgot about this guys, sorry)) "Hi Rainbo- bye Rainbow!" Pinkie waved eagerly as Rainbow passed, followed hotly by some unknown stallion. Twilight raised an eyebrow, wondering who it was who would be following her. She didn't recognize a pony that looked like that in town... "Hey, who was that stallion that was following Rainbow? Do you know, Pinkie?" "I don't know, that's the weird thing... Normally I know every new pony in town! I should go introduce myself!" "Should we go after her?" Pinkie was already bouncing eager circles around Twilight, so that question was essentially answered already. Twilight sighed and smiled to herself. "I'm guessing that's a yes..." "Of course it's a yes! Comeon Twilight, last one there's a bad cupcake!" "Don't do that teleporty thing you usually do to catch up to ponies!" Twilight ignored the fact that she could also teleport, and the two mares trotted steadily in the direction they had seen Rainbow and her pursuer vanish. As they got back into town, they passed back by Twilight's library, where they happened upon Applejack. "Hey Applejack! Watch'a doing here?"

ooc Jason Bourne Equestrian OOC Thread
WordplA replied to JeanHover's topic in Everfree Planning, OOC & Discussion
We need people to post half in jest on threads, it's just part of the natural order! Like what I'm doing now, for example. Buuut, I won't be so much of a jerk that I don't sign up for a part. I'll be the primary antagonist, just give me the day to prepare an OC for the part. Also, my grammar is a bit wordy, I tend to use a lot of independent clauses. Be prepared for that. -
Twilight Sparkle had her nose in the thick of a large tome- even by her standards, which meant this beast of a book was larger than the table it was resting on- studying a very strange concept she had just come across. They called it 'duplicative magic', and it seemed to be a more user friendly version of the same dark energies that gave the wayward changelings their power. Twilight had gone through a lot: a veritable mountain of paperwork, three security checks, and a changeling detector (however that was supposed to work) to get her hooves on this book. Not that her hooves were on this book, since it was simply far too weighty. She had to employ a carriage just to get it back to her library. "Duplicative magic will not always create perfect replicas, but similar to an imperfect glass blowing, will create copies with 'bubbles': deformities and flaws, whether obvious or not..." Twilight looked over the page larger than her body in surface area again, her eyes and mind strained to levels they had never been before. Beyond being incredibly dense in it's writing and subject, to a degree that even Twilight struggled with; the writer had jarring changes in diction and style at times, including an area on this page where instead of writing a chart or graph to illustrate his or her point, the author had chosen to write POWAAAAAAAAAAA which was misspelled, bolded, and underlined all at once. Half wondering if this book was a farce, Twilight turned away to give her eyes a much needed rest. "Hey Twi!" Twilight was about to question how Pinkie had gotten into her house without anypony noticing, but she determined that the effort would be wasted and just smiled back: "Good to see you, Pinkie. What brings you here?" "Have you seen Rainbow Dash? I wanted to get her to help me throw a surprise party for Mayor Mare! It's her birthday in two months!" Twilight grinned at that. When it came to parties Pinkie was even more on the ball and organized than Twilight was... in her own unique Pinkie way, that was. "I think she was going to practice today? We can probably find her outside Ponyville somewhere." "Then let's g-g-g-g-g-gooooo-!?" Before she could finish speaking, Pinkie was overcome by a set of gyrations: a twitch of both ears, a crack of her neck, a triple spin on her tail, a weird hoof maneuver that approximated breakdancing, and a two second holding of her breath. Twilight's attention to detail took it all in eagerly and without fault- this was a new Pinkie Sense! "Whoa! I've never had that one before!" "What do you think this one means, Pinkie?" "I dunno, but whatever this one is it's super super big! Let's go!" The two mares galloped out of the library, looking for Rainbow Dash.

Screw Mundo, we prefer Shyvana. But seriously, I used to love Mundo but now I don't feel as good about him. Something about his kit is clunky and hard to use well. I don't know how to explain it, but he just feels like a weak choice to me when a jungler like Shyvana fills the same role only better.

Discord, evil or just plain chaotic?
WordplA replied to That Colt's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I see Discord as a powerful force of nature, that much is true... But he is sentient. He can make choices, and he has a personality. So even though chaos is in his nature, he's warped it, twisted it, into something dark and sadistic. After all, if he was truly chaotic, his reign wouldn't be completely malicious. He'd just be totally random. -
I have a problem with any of the mane 6 being THE best
WordplA replied to That Colt's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Well, to be fair to the Mane Six they are the bearers of HARMONY ITSELF so it's not a stretch to assume that they're going to be better than your average pony, for lack of a better way to describe it. Fluttershy has that near supernatural ability with animals, Pinkie is... Pinkie, Twilight's magic is beyond any average unicorns, Rainbow can pull off the by all accounts legendary Sonic Rainboom. Rarity and Applejack seem to be the most mundane of the Mane Six, but even then they're both highly skilled and savvy in their fields. So no, I don't share these views with you. But I get why you'd want your heroines to be more normal than they actually are. We sympathize with the everyday mare. -
If Twilight Sparkle were to make you lonely/upset/cry...
WordplA replied to Akemi Homura's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Well, given the changed history of 'me' I frankly wouldn't be able to know how I'd react, since my environment would have made me way different. If I maintained my current personality (in which case, I wouldn't have even gone through the events as portrayed but lets pretend I did), I'd be alright with it. I like girls like Twilight, but I'm used to rejection. I'd go on my way and never question why she chose to shoot me down. CAUSE I'M BULLETPROOF, NOTHING TO LOSE-- 42 replies

^ Scarlet Devil, Scarlet Nite? Anyways, I cannot play the Touhou games to save my life. I die even on EZ Mode. But the series has a special place in my heart, it was my first crossplays, and the series I liked around the time I stopped being a stereotypical dumb anime fan and started maturing out... Then I got into MLP. Still love Touhou though.

Yo. Screw this man, we're going back to Equestria. Screw you bronies, screw your Faust, and most importantly, screw My Little Dashie. I mean. Seriously? No Love, Rainbow DASH. DASH damn it, DASH. Okay, that interlude aside, I would first be very confused by what had happened, then I'd do online stuffs to make sure I really was the only one who remembered. Then I'd make sure I at least crudely sketched all six of the ponies from memory (oh god Pinkie's hair would give me so much trouble without a reference), then I'd just have them around as a keepsake. No need to revitalize the series, I mean, whats the chances that the magic would happen again? If anyone asked about the weird pony pictures I keep around, I'd just say something profound and have a moment of silence in respect for the series that amused me for at least a whole year of my life.

More champions are good than they do fade into irrelevance, I think. Only champions I can remember really doing that within my lifetime are Skarner (and they fixed him) and Hecarim (still waiting on the fix). All the others have seen at least some usage in pro games or general play.

And LeBlanc's damage remains high enough late game (assuming you've got a decent build and some kills) to where she can still murder the carry in team fights. Worth it, in my opinion.

Karma is hard to play and hard to fit into a team comp. She needs a lot of micromanagement of Mantra to be an effective support or mid. I'd recommend against her. I'd recommend Lux or LeBlanc, and they both have their uses (Lux with that crazy AoE potential and LeBlanc with her ability to instagib carries from nowhere near a team fight breaking out). I'd recommend Lux, if only because you're more comfortable with pulling wins with her. Then save up another 3150 IP worth of wins and buy LeBlanc.

Hmm, heres a thought. Say that Rarity, in a way, fears herself the most? Now we all know that she is a perfectionist. She has her isms, her hangups, and a nasty temper at times. But at the same time, she knows she's supposed to be a role model: Generosity, a good friend, a good older sister... But at the same time, she has all these neurotic behaviors that make her one of the less consistently nice and good members of the Mane Six, and with her social skills she's aware of this. I speculate that this could be a reason for her constant personality swings between episodes; in doing this she's trying to find the appropriate balance of aspects of herself that will make up for and tone down her heavily flawed character.

searching The Elements of Chaos!

Easy guys, easy. Let him/her manage at his/her own pace. Now as they said, a character list in the OC would be nice. We have a good amount now. -

I can triple play, actually. But I would really really rather not triple play. But if we absolutely need me to, I will do it no problem.
