That would be a great opportunity to resolve some present plot threads while setting up more for the future. Give the CMC their marks, let Spike discover his past, give Twilight a challenge as a princess, while maybe challenging her friendships. The end of S5 would be the perfect opportunity.

 

Another possibility would be to end G5 altogether with a proper FiM movie.

I would really love to see major development like the CMC getting their marks be a movie. 4 season of chasing after them, you'd think a conclusion to a plot line that long would warrant a pretty decent film.

Yeah, it would be pretty fitting. Particularly given that in Twilight time we saw them learning useful, applicable skills, I'd love to see a storyline where they use them to break into a villain's lair or rescue somebody. I'm very interested to see where they'll take that thread in S5.

Yea, a story line that has been running since season 1deserves some kinda big payoff/event. YYou could even work the mane 6 in there, by having earn their cutie marks by assisting the mane 6 in whatever dauntless task has been appointed to them.

The season four finale felt like a mini movie itself but as much as I loved it I can't help but wonder how epic it would've been as a feature length film. I'm hopeful we'll get one someday...not to hate on EG but I'm here for the ponies.

I want to see one too. I actually devised a pretty good plot for one back in late 2011. We ended up getting it in the form of the season 2 finale.

So you had that thing happen where you write something online along the lines of, " It would make for a cool movie if such and such happened." and it get's turned into the season finale just by coincidence?! Months back I was saying on youtube comments and on a post here, (this is the short version) "They should do something where a villain escapes from Tartarus and make that into a movie."

This can mean only one thing... Hasbro is following us for ideas using a time portal thingy!

 

My theory will be confirmed if EQ2 is anything like the movie "School of Rock" or/and the " Tenacious D" movie :okiedokielokie: .

Ah, from the moment they mentioned Tartarus, I was just waiting for the big payoff... It took a while, but boy, did it come!

2.)  Mean Girls 2

3.)  EQG

I would also like to see one too, and I honestly have no doubt that one day Hasbro will release one. They would have to be insane not to.

 

I love Equestria Girls, by the way. I have absolutely no problem with that movie series at all. ^^

 

Actually, I think it would have been very smart for Hasbro to have made Twilight's Kingdom have a deeper story and made it into a movie. It should be known that they could have, but writers have restrictions because it has to fit in the time limit of a normal episode. Well, a two-part episode, but you know what I mean.

 

You know, it just makes me think. Every time Hasbro comes out with something MLP-related that's newer, as the season finales and such, they just keep getting better. The more time they spend on MLP:FiM in general, the more they understand their characters and develop them even deeper. Just think of how awesome a pony MLP movie will be, you know? ^^

Twilight Sparkles Courrption. Ever since S3 Premiere. Everypony has made artwork of Twilight being corrupted by dark magic. I believe that she would fit perfectly for a plot twist in becoming a villain.

Anywho, I think we may get a movie if everyone claps their hands and believes in fairies hard enough. Or just tell Hasbro to cease with the Equestria Girls, because I honestly believe we'd be getting a movie faster if everyone wasn't so passively accepting of that franchise.
