This band has my attention when it comes to the anti-oil industry/military industrial theme. They sport a heavy sound, for a heavy topic, and tear holes in the illusory fabric of big box market.

There are two bands that come to mind when Japan is mentioned. First is Gargoyle which I discovered recently.

 

 

While the vocals aren't the most compatible thing on the song, the music itself is great; especially the solo. The other is Fastkill.
