Least Favorite Brony reviewer

I was just thinking, is there that one brony reviewer you just don't like or can't stand? Well here's the thread for that. So , as the title states, which one is your least favorite? 

 

For me, it would have to be Byter. It's not the fact that most of his reviews after season 2 were negative (though it kind of makes his reviews slightly frustrating) it's the fact that when I read most of his reviews, I scratch my head and wonder why he's still in the fandom if he seems to hate the new episodes so much to the point where he only liked I think 2 episodes this season.

More often than not they have their head shoved pretty far up their arse. Easily ranks top tier most pretentious thing in this fandom. Not like I'm the only bloke who feels this way either.

TBH, I don't know how much longer this topic's going to last. I put one up asking about worst brony sites and it was taken down for its potential to incite drama.

 

If I had to go with one, I'd constructively say that MrEnter needs to improve his tone and style, and avoid personal grudges from interfering with his presentation (as with "Twilight's Kingdom", he blindly praised it out of a grudge with the rest of the analysis community for being overly negative). I actually prefer his other cartoon reviews to his MLP ones because he's one of the only general Western animation reviewers out there.

 

I'd prefer that most reviewers take a more fair and controlled approach and not let emotion get too much in the way of their reviews, sort of like how DrWolf does it, and "analysts" should take on some broad, non-review topics as well to be true analysts.

I don't like Byter... I feel his reviews are too... Dumb. He doesn't seem to really know what the characters are about, & half the time when reading through his reviews I find errors in his ability to speak, using very... Odd words for certain phrasing. If you look at his review of "Too Many Pinkie Pies" he attempts to define slap stick humor, but it goes way off the wall & it just makes my head hurt trying to figure him out.

Eh, I think so long as everyone keeps their calm & doesn't overdo it (for example, not getting mad at K.K. Slider for not liking ANY reviewers, or me feeling that Mr. Enter is a good reviewer but NOT attacking you for it, as I respect your opinion versus my opinion, & everyone is free to judge as they see fit) they should be ok with it... So long as it isn't all about bashing the person(s) & instead creating constructive discussions I don't see what would be wrong with it... Though I am not the mods/admins so, Idunevenknow

I've only seen a few of Digibrony's videos cuz I can't stand him and find him incredibly boring. However, the one reviewer I find myself actively hating is Tommy Oliver. He is the king of all nitpickers (probably inspired by the Plinkett reviews. Digi I'm guessing too. Neither seem to fully grasp that those reviews aren't 100% serious) and many times his analysis is severely lacking. Also, he (and Digi too) has a bad habit of criticizing episodes for what he wanted them to be (his Equestria Games review was.....awful).

 

Also can't stand MrAwkwardReviewer as of late. I enjoyed his reactions and reviews the first few seasons, but season 4 and especially towards the end he was insufferable.

 

The one brony reviewer I consistently watch and find myself agreeing with is MrEnter. With the exception of a few reviews where I think he was too critical (although I feel he does a good job justifying his positions mostly), I find he and I have almost the exact same thoughts on most episodes

Me too, the only review by Enter that I found being too critical was his Power Ponies review

Yeah, I agree. Although I agree with his conclusion that it wasn't very good. I also find his review of Feeling Pinkie Keen to seem a little forced, like he felt he had to fail it cuz others hated it (same with Mare Do Well) even though he liked it. I think it's a great episode and one that a lot of people criticized because of one poorly worded line in the moral (looking at you Tommy!).

I watched about half of it out of curiosity and I was shocked by how awful it was lol.

 

To be fair to Digi though, one thing I did like by him was his Sword Art Online review. I did enjoy the show, but I pretty much agreed with all of criticisms with it.

Another reviewer I don't like is Antony C. He hasn't done a lot of stuff, but his review of A Canterlot Wedding with Tommy Oliver was mind-boggling stupid and was full of awful analysis and criticisms. Haven't seen all of his stuff so maybe that was just a dud

I concur fully with Slider.     Even those Bronies React.................overly dramatic and dumb, IMO.   I rather give my own opinion, b/c that matters a lot.   Not to mention, we are all entitled to our own opinions, so listening in on some else perspective, that would not be right, unless you saw the episode for yourself.  

 

Not to go off topic......................I don't pay attention to movie critics at all, b/c Im the judge of stating if a film was good or bad.

Reviewer or Criticizer I would have to say LittleshyFIM because he ranted about Equestria Girls and TheMysteriousMrEnter because he criticizes G3 a little too harshly  but dont get me wrong I love these guys and I am subbed to both of them

Exactly! Not a lot of people can do the negative attitude thing well (even MrEnter struggles with this sometimes) and in his case it rubs me the wrong way if I disagree with what he is saying.

 

From what I can tell, the biggest problem with a lot of brony reviewers is that what they say feels forced. They want so badly to be like Mr Plinkett or Nostalgia Critic, yet they don't realize that you can't really do that when you're reviewing a show that is mostly pretty good. When they come out with their big rants about how awful an episode is, it feels contrived and nitpicky

Believe me, it was. It was hard to sit through. 

In terms of my least favorite reviewer, I honestly can't name one, because I haven't seen all of them. If I had to choose, it'd be Byter. His Too Many Pinkie Pie review was just horrendous. 

I form my own opinions, because I do love the Equestria Games episode whereas most don't (I don't care about the "disappointment"), but it's interesting to hear what others think.

Past Analysis is easily the worst in general, not at attitude, but in skill level of reviewing. He's an idiot who doesn't understand much about this show and I honestly question whether or not he watches the show. He is truly the most clueless analyst I've ever seen, and the fact that he's got some notoriety in this fandom for being an analyst makes me sad.

 

I mean, wow. Just flat out lacking in any sort of understanding in the show, and he's got no charisma. He just shouldn't be an analyst, because if people listen to what he has to say, the community will get dumber.

 

As for personality, Byter or Digibrony. I don't know why Byter is here. All he does is bash the show now, so he should just leave.

 

Digibrony is just totally pretentious, arrogant, and elitist, as well as boring and honestly, he just talks out of his ass. I'm kind of glad he's gone (at least, I heard he was) because he was really a rotten fella.
