How do you think Fluttershy vents her anger?

Its been implied in the series before, that Fluttershy has some serious repressed anger issues. Which may lead to a possible split-personality of sorts. But how do you think Fluttershy vents her anger in order to maintain her kind reputation? I personaly would like to think she keeps her true emotions recorded in a secret journal nopony knows about. Where she records her thoughts about her friends, family, and the world around her. This could explain how she is usually able to control her inner demon.

It depends on if you consider the IDW comics to be canon or not, because I personally like to think that Fluttershy channels any frustrations into her creative ventures:

I think we've seen a couple instances of her anger getting the better if her as it is, in The Best Night Ever, Putting Your Hoof Down and Power Ponies. In between those times when she totally loses it, though, I imagine she channels things either through a private temper tantrum or something constructively destructive like weeding the garden.

Some people just don't get angry period. Especially people as shy as Fluttershy is. She'd become scared or sad more than she would be angry. Everyone has their boiling point though and we've seen what happens when it does. I'd say it's more like Fluttershy doesn't handle her anger well as it causes great amounts of bitchitude when she is actually angry.

We saw flutter shy scream and hit things to vent her frustrations in the episode "Green is not your colour" and in "The best Night Ever"

In both instances however I believe it was there mostly for comical relief.

 

 

 

I'm just stirring up trouble here though! 

Fluttershy is a good pony though, I think she'd vent her anger by talking to other ponies or keeping a diary of some description!

I think she talks to herself in the mirror or something along those lines. That way, she wouldn't risk anyone inadvertently stumbling across her previously vented rage and having their feelings hurt.

I had a daydream about this, once. Fluttershy was frustrated about something, so she went over to Twilight's library to vent to her. Heck, maybe that actually was in an episode, but it's what I always imagined her to do. I think those two characters play off one another really well, such that Twilight's analytical yet helpful personality easily compensates for Fluttershy's insecurities and oversensitivity.

I mean yea, she got angry in "The Best Night Ever" but I think that was just more so to go along with the rest of the mane 6, to make it "the Worst Night Ever". Then there were the moments where she says "I'm so frustrated I could just scream/kick something" I think that was just  to be adorable, because her scream was soft, and her kick didn't even knock over the vase.

 

Or maybe she vents to Discord, and he listens like a good friend...then reigns chaos on the rest of the mane 6.

I actually would like to see Discord and Fluttershy interact more. Maybe Discord can provide temporary discording of Fluttershy when she needs to fight or something.

Doesn't anybody but me recognize that this might actually be the vital flaw in her character?

 

We notice through out the series that the main characteristic of each character brings an ultimate flaw to them and they realize this, which is why this show is so great. 

 

• Twilight Sparkle: She has tendencies to make no mistakes, which leads her to sometimes take this as a priority over her friends.
• Rainbow Dash: She remains loyal to her kind and her friends. However, her loyalty leads her to betray her friends in the fight against Discord.
• Apple Jack: She likes to be honest and make people happy. Making people happy makes her abandon honesty with Granny Smith.
• Rarity: Her generosity leads her to sometimes make decisions that are rash, making criticism which might actually be a result of her generosity.
• Pinkie Pie: Her want for happiness and joy leads her to take criticism harshly and makes her paranoid about instances, maybe even jealous.
• Flutter Shy: She tries to remain kind to others and nature, but this results her to denying her true nature of the inability to be perfect, which leads her to hide an inescapable rage.

I think this is a collection of writing genius by Hasbro, to be honest. It is similar to The Dubliners, in my opinion. From my analysis, I think the writers are trying to present a show that displays true human nature to children.

 

EDIT: Adding onto this, I think the show writers are presenting complex decision-making consequences to children in such a simple and easy matter. It is impressive.

Actually, she holds it all in until she explodes.  She doesn't really have an anger outlet, which is her problem.

 

Bear massage above makes me think of the ranger marcus from babylon 5 -- after tearing apart a whole room of criminals -- he said he was a lot less repressed.

Fluttershy seldom gets angry or upset but it can happen and it may lead to some outbursts. She has been able to master calming techniques in order to make outbursts rare.
