"Oh, okay Starlight, I can show you around," Fluttershy said softly.

"As for me, I don't need showing around, but I would enjoy the extra company," Discord said and was quite glad Fluttershy was joining him and Starlight.

"Hmm, I wonder Twilight, would you care to join us too?" Discord asked, deciding to see if Twilight wanted to come along as well.

Looking around, she saw many ponies rushing to take shelter; their fear was reflected in their expressions. Cyan swallowed nervously and gazed up at the hurricane dome once more.

Sen was still crossed with his sister at the moment. Lin looked back at her brother for some time, thinking about something to say. The look on his face stopped her from saying anything and whenever she had something in mind, she'd change her mind and turns her eyes elsewhere. Her eyes flit back and forth but she remained silent. Sen eventually went back into his meditative state: sitting upright with one claw placed perpendicular to the other while his wings arched over his head and drooped to the sides.

Lin turned back to Omen's mother and calmly inquired: "Will you need something in return? Surely your help wouldn't come without cost." Sen raised an eyebrow but his eyes remained closed; he thought exactly the same thing and awaited a reply.

Not hearing any complaints, and seeing Sen go into his meditation again, Omen figured that it were okay that she left and with a wave of Mother's hand, a part of the wall opened that she walked out of before it closed behind her.

"I help those special in my children's life, and for that I need nothing in return. For as I help them, so do I try to help those who are them nearest at times, and you were one of the fortunate few that were chosen."

She turned to face the two of them and slowly walked closer.

"I know it might sound horrible, but my obligation is mainly to my children, and it will take something special for me to seek out whoever they come with and use energy on them instead. Even you, who were under a special affliction, were one I were hesitant to speak with, even though I found your situation something that should be remedied.

Yet, Omen said that you were her friend. Something I had to see for myself as my daughter haves... Issues."

She raised a claw to her head and let out a sigh, looking slightly pained over something.

"Now what have ailed you are done, beyond a few things you will need to know before you leave, my mind brings me towards this again, and I question then, how you are friends. What does it entail? And what started it? How did it even start? Please, I wish to know."

Though he could use something to stress off with, he needed to keep his senses fully under control when something bad like this were happening and had to push the thought of a few sips of something in there to himself. There'd be time later.

Not certain about this new princess' workers though, but then again, I have not seen or heard anything from them yet, if she have even chosen ones. Though I am going to guess she will aim for Unicorns, if the theme with the overall guards get to fit. His toxin had all been used, and along with Sisilia's, had done their part in wounding the creature further, so for now his role would remain to keep the barrier up and wait for the next part to come.

If it would be the part he had foreseen, with others arriving to join in on the battle carrying something that would assist in ending this, or the other one that had been somewhat threaded upon when the Creator joined in on the fight, he didn't know for certain anymore. Though he could see the outcome to be mostly the same, the road there had diverted a lot as it were, and he hadn't the time to focus on one and see through their paths what might come as readily as he had before. Especially not when most of them had currently left the scene, seeking shelter from the barrier that - thankfully - would make sure that the scream would be detained as well. Sound would not get through it with such ease.

Meanwhile, Sylar wasn't the only one going for the strike as Last were still going through her motions, making only small cuts thus far between dodging, taking a few hits, and waiting for the right moment to make a proper strike. She were just waiting for an opening so that she could get close enough to make a decisive strike, though hopefully it would come soon. Well trained or not, she were not immortal or without limits, and the small battering here and there combined with the efforts against this mass were slowly starting to take its toll.

She could still fight for a while, but she could feel the first few drops of energy starting to drain from the lower points of the tank right now. With some luck, she wouldn't get through it all before this were over.

Lonk started slowly walking toward the fight.

Nopony seemed to know he was there. Whether that would last he doesn't know.

He forgot about something though.

Jaraco. That one guy who suddenly appeared in his thoughts and hadn't tried to contact him in... hours. Huh. Hours? Everything that has happened seems like an eternity.

Jaraco, are you there? he asked.

Yeah... Jaraco replied reluctantly.

Cool. Are you in Ponyville?

Yeah... Where are you?

In Tartarus, of course.

Seriously.

In Ponyville. It seems like I'm in Tartarus, though.

Lonk blacks out for a second before gaining vision back.

I would agree with you. Hold on, I'm coming.

I don't need you!

Yes you do. I'm not going to possess you or anything, I'm just getting something that I think might help.

What?

Look for yourself.

Lonk blacks out again.

He comes to in a small room that seems to be in a house. He is sitting in a comfy arm chair; but, he realizes, he's not him. He's Jaraco.

He tries moving his arm. He can.

You lied to me.

So? I'm not doing anything. I see black.

Lonk telepathically rolls his eyes at him.

Bookshelves line the little study but are broken up by a display between two of them. There's a sword in the display. It looks sharp. Maybe if you unsheathe it it makes a loud "SHWANG" sound.

This?

Yeup. Got it in an auction for 500 bits, display included. No license though. Now give me my body back.

Lonk does.

He's back in Ponyville. He hasn't moved an inch. Either Jaraco was true to his word, or he is extra sneaky.

How long is this going to take?

Five minutes.

Hurry up.

Astral groaned, trying to push Misty away. "Just a few more minutes!" She groaned, opening her eyes a bit. "What this?" She asked seeing the tray of food.

"I prepared you food! but unfortunately you over slept so much, it spoiled." Misty said frowning dropping the tray of food to the ground.

Astral got up and saw the fridge open and empty. "Wait, did you use up all the food to make this?" Misty nodded slowly. "Shot, i need to get more now." She got up and looked out the window, but she was just barely able to see Ponyville through all the trees.

Misty walked over to the shelf of potions. "Weren't you banned from Equestria because of your magic?"

Astral blinked twice. "We're in Equestria right now."

"Not what i mean." Misty said with frustration in her voice. "I mean that if you show your face ponies might try and kill you."

"Oh right, that well somepony in these forests might be able to sneak in and get us food." Astral sat down on her bed. "Wait. these type of things always happen when i wake up!"

"What things?" Misty asked.

Astral got up. "I can conjure food out of nowhere!"

Misy face hoofed. "You only ever learned to conjure up soup." She said taking her hoof away from her face.

Astral turned to Misty. "Misty?"

"Yeah?" She asked, curiosity in her voice as she wondered what Astral needed her to do.

"Shut up." Misty frowned at that, that wasn't very fun to do at all.

Lin fell silent. She knew all the information she had was through Sen's memories and since she no longer could access them, she would either skirt around the question or go with the honest reply. And with Sen still meditating away from her... she knew not to disturb him. But as soon as she tried to say something, she felt at claw touch her shoulder; it was her brother taking the reins for her. Whether it was to spare her further awkwardness or shame, she didn't know but she stepped aside for her brother to fill in Omen's mother and answer her queries.

"I befriended Omen when we met at the ruins in the Everfree Forest," Sen started. "Omen wanted to help me find Lin and out of respect and appreciation, I offered to help him find his master. I didn't know much about the world outside my clan's home forest and I wanted to go past the deeply instilled beliefs of isolation my elders have taught. Honestly, I didn't think I planned on making a friend when I was exiled but the more I travelled, the more I realized that maybe having a friend isn't such a bad thing. We get to learn more about each other, maybe how to grow into better individuals who aren't out for ourselves. It's like having a family that isn't limited by blood."

Sen fell silent for a while but continued shortly after catching his breath and giving himself a few seconds to think. "I assure you that this friendship is genuine. I wish no harm come to Omen and if worse comes to worst, I'd gladly put myself in danger to ensure his safety."

Lin was stunned yet again. To hear those words come from her brother warmed her heart, made her feel fuzzy inside but she was happy nonetheless for him.

"Well, to be completely honest I have no idea what's going to happen, or how bad it's going to be for us, and I can only protect us against so much."

He hugged Summer back, feeling a bit reassured himself. They were going to be alright.

When he noticed Nerzhei talking about magic things, he quickly trotted up to her. New magic was more important than fear of dragons!

"Wait, residue energy on teleportation spells? I never read anything about that! Please tell me! Please! How does it work, and how do you detect it? I wanna know!"

Frosty was really excited at the concept of magic not yet known in Equestria. If he brought this knowledge back, ponies could use this kind of magic for things! He didn't know what those things were, but new magic had to be useful somehow.

He tried without much succes to contain his excitement, as the dragons didn't seem to like bouncing ponies much.

Because Frosty had already gone to walk next to Nerzhei to ask her about the residue energy, he didn't understand what Lyriel said. It probably wasn't important. Not as important as new magic, anyway.

"What do you use to detect the energy? Do you use magic-infused spirals that react to it? Dragon-magic? Some kind of gem? Mineral? Something else? Please tell me!"

Frosty coughed.

"That is, if you are willing to share that information, that is."

How long had it been since she had even heard a wolf? or seen a mimic for that matter? She didn't know, except that it were likely years.

Hopefully, what came after now, wouldn't include this silence. Nor would it hopefully include little foals trying to sneak off to look at some random foliage before a vine came down from a nearby tree and dragged her back to the group whilst Lyriel tried to stop her smile from getting wider. Just because the foal were silent didn't mean that she had forgotten about her after all.

Up at Nerzhei, the dragon raised an eyebrow as she looked over the questioning pony that this time wasn't letting off an earful that made her cringe. She was not so much surprised by him not being obnoxious though, as she were about his interest in the matter of their tracking. Or well, Her tracking. Qert's were simplistic and built on senses and instinct, and that wasn't what the pony was asking about. He were asking about the finer details regarding how they even tracked the energy to begin with.

Regardless, perhaps she should answer and see what would happen from there. Might be that this pony were not as dense as she had gotten the impression of thus far after all, and could appreciate the work behind this.

"Normally, teleportation doesn't leaves trace that's easy to follow by anything but a few, select races. Mainly because a seasoned user will only use how much they have to. A botched teleportation on the other hand, uses more energy and the random tear in time and space tends to leave marks for a few minutes that react to magical tracing objects, like this bauble."

She takes the bauble forth again, and this time, being closer, Frosty might notice that it looked a good deal like crystal, though swirling with energy within that reacted the closer it got to him.

"It's a rare kind of ocean gem called a Fools Treasure, and it is one of the few naturally occurring gems that I know of that can be infused with mass amounts of magic without breaking. Not easy ones to get, but when I found it mentioned in the old times that they can hold an array of magic ranging from simple telekinesis to more exotic stuff such as Lithomancy that can make them trackers of specific magical energy within 5 miles, I had to acquire some. Both because it helps finding hidden, magical objects, or because - in the case of this one - it can track if any being somehow gets through the magical shield meant to keep teleporters out of this place.

I still haven't been able to find out how to make it more accurate than searching and watching the colour, which is why I need Qert, but my research is coming along."

Much as she were the big one of the two, Nerzhei were only a fighter in skill, not heart or soul. Her mind were what she sought to expand, as well as ways to make things that could benefit the post and make protection of this and several other places within their lands easier, but often she had to go get her own materials, so she had to know how to battle. Which in turn meant that at times, she were interrupted in her work to go do grunt work, which she detested.

This time hadn't been grunt work though. She had been the one to see the sign when the gem started to show colour and went to look, only stopping to grab a few survival tools and Qert that had been busy trying to stretch himself taller again, which in turn had led them to this place and these beings. Ponies that had seemingly been tossed here with or without intend, and a dryad that for some reason weren't amongst the crazy ones, and seemed to be friendly, which were strange, considering how it had been the last 10 years with the others.

"If you wonder what sort of magic that is used here, it does include draconic magic, yes. As well as some unicorn, a tinge of curse magic from elder texts, and good chunk of-"

Nerzhei shivers ever so slightly, though she tries to hide it.

"- Breezie magic."

@,

@@Minty_The_Sweet,

The griffin looked down on the bandages, but shook her head a little at them whilst giving the small, nice pony a smile.

"Thank you, but I'll be fine. Armor took the blunt of it so I'm just a little... Well, a lot soar, but it's okay."

She rose up and stretched her limbs out a little by little, cringing some in the process. Didn't feel like her wings were broken, so that was good, though she were pretty sure that this feeling of being hit by a freight train wouldn't vanish for a while. Probably good that she was gonna stay in the area for a while after all, huh?

"I hope I didn't scare you, coming tumbling in like that, but-"

She were interrupted in her words when somepony else showed up and she turned around to find another pony, this one older than the two others and looking a bit sheepishly, though considering she just fell in like that, she could hardly blame the mare.

"Heh, seems like I'm not the only one tumbling in today, huh?"

She'd reach a talon towards the newcomer, offering her some help to get out even though she doubted the pony was gonna need it. Earth ponies were tough and this one had seemingly just tripped, so she should be more than okay.

"Anyway, might as well make introductions and all that. My name's Florence. Good to meet you all, and sorry again."

Florence looked around at the others too as she said it so they didn't get the impression that she were only speaking to the new one with the cauldron cutie mark. Might be a bit redundant, but she didn't want to seem rude to them, and especially not when they so far seemed to take her hurling into the midst of things pretty well, all things considering.

@@Wolves,

"Well, there's still Some parts of town that's not covered from what I can see. Might be some safe spots around the edge where it's safe to wait out, yet not so far off that if something runs off it doesn't run into you alone. Not a good thing to have happen with something powerful and angry. Believe me."

There came a bit of weight to his words there at the end before he walked over and got his wagon secured on his back. Many things might happen now, but he sure as hay wasn't gonna leave this thing, and not just because it had a lot of incriminating evidence if somepony were very good with locks. Had some personal things and his wares there too.

As he looked over at Cyan after making sure he were secured to the thing, the thought of the last time he had made the mistake of choosing solitude over strength in numbers in an aftermath came to mind, and a cold wind seemed to go down his spine. It had been one of the closest times he had ever been to death, and it were one of the reasons why he hadn't headed straight for the forest at the first sight of danger. Not the first one, nor the only one, but one of the reasons still.

"Anyway, it's your town Cyan, so I'll follow your lead on this."

Long as that lead wasn't directly into the dome, trying to sneak in that were. There were limits.

@@EQ_Theta,

Mother seemed to grow brighter for a moment as she felt a surge of emotions rise in her of joy and relief that almost made her shiver from the vibrations. Feelings that showed well on her face, and in her posture as it got a little more relaxed as she leaned down to better look the small - compared to her - dragon-looking male that had uttered the words that she had hoped would come in some variation.

"I believe you Sen, and for that, I thank you. For helping my daughter by showing her your kindness and accepting her."

A small, joyful pressure were put on the word daughter, to let Sen know that he had confused genders in his speech, but she seemed not angry about it as she sat down and once more, a chair rose from the ground to meet her movement.

"It may seem like a small thing this, but Omen have not grown well since she were given form as she got no friends, and a master who left her with no purpose and a world that both shunned her and carried no resemblance to what she had grown up in. It have stunted her development dramatically, though I suppose you have taken notice of that too? All the questions, and the minor emotions? How she seems to need to be taught things far more basic than her thousand years should require?"

Mother let out a small sigh and gathered the claws on her right hand on her temple, rubbing it a little before returning to what she were saying, not waiting for an answer to what had been said before.

"It is why I made her go back, to find one such as you, but as the years have passed I were beginning to think that perhaps it were too late for her... And then you two come along, and things finally changed. So when I see in her mind now, I finally see not a stunted child, but a flower starting to bud, and a reborn one able to smile for the first time in many years. It is... A special thing."

She wiped a small tear from her eye and leaned back in her chair.

"Ah, but I fear I ramble. Though more I have to say, amongst them some things that are crucial for you, Lin, perhaps I should give you the chance to say something back? I would not want to be rude to my children's friends after all."

@@Blitz Boom, Astral got up dusting her legs. "Name's Astral Star." She reached out her hoof for a ho- claw shake. "Nice to meet a griffon, I haven't seen one in- actually I never have seen one." Astral pulled her hoof back and up to her chin. "Anyways, nice to meet you." She said putting her hoof back out. "Florence was it?"

Sen remained silent and accepted his mistake rather awkwardly. His sister's magic may have influenced his slip but it was good further mistakes could be prevented. Lin, however, couldn't say anything out of shame, stammering without the sound of words. She'd have to say something eventually.

"I... I don't know where to start." Lin hesitantly began but maybe there might be some wisdom in finding out how to move on, in little steps for the meantime. "Is it right for me to shun the use of magic if I am still able to harness it? Because after all of this, I'm not sure if I should even use it. The ancestors unbound themselves from it when it proved dangerous but what if I couldn't separate myself from it? It's a lot for me to take in considering what nearly happened."

@@Blitz Boom,@,

Butterfly nervously backed away from the new comer, her shyness besting her. Crystal Ball got up shakily and walked towards the voices, unable to see them but able to hear them perfectly clear. "Hi Astral I am Crystal Ball, pleasure to meet you" Crystal Ball bowed in the direction of Astral's voice, her politeness and tendency to socialise for Butterfly taking affect. "Um excuse Butterfly's shyness she tends to prefer ponies in her books over real living beings. Have either of you heard of Dusklight?" Butterfly perked up at this and immediately walked up. "You mean that story about a bat pony romance? it was terrible! the spelling-" Butterfly continued to monologue about Dusklight and how terrible it was. Crystal Ball giggled at how well she knew her friend, knowing exactly what to do to bring Butterfly out of her cocoon.

@@Minty_The_Sweet, Astral felt some kind of magic emit off of Crystal ball, but didn't want to ask as that might seem weird to do. "What's up with your friend there?" @,

"Oh for some reason its all the rage with mares now a days, I prefer Sherclop Pones myself. Oh and also the book shop in manhattan has a few copies of Dusklight if you want one but I promise you that it is terrible. Also what books have you read? Iv gone though all of the most recent famous books and classics so a change of scenery would be good." Butterfly took in a deep breath and released and Crystal Ball just laughed like mad. "I have never heard you breath in so deeply! you must really not like Dusklight" Crystal Ball said before a vision of a dirty filly crying in a alley appeared in her mind. She winced and stopped laughing and held her head until the vision passed. She hated visions of stuff like that, of the poor and defenceless getting attacked but she knew that having a gift like this would always have down sides. Butterfly went to her friend and stroked her back, this thing happening too frequently to be a simple head ache but Crystal Ball refused to tell her the reason why.

Rapid Wind decided to wait patiently and he felt it would be slightly rude just to get up from the table and leave. Though formal manners might be a bit silly in the country town of Ponyville, Rapid Wind had come from a big metropolitan city where he had seen formality being played out by the 'higher class' pony societies. He hated their 'high society' nonsense, but still felt formal manners were sometimes important. To keep himself occupied though, he started to glance around the shop from his seat.
