Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukka, and so on and so forth! There are many things that make the holidays special. I just love the prospect of being around family and friends. Presents are nice to receive of course but the greatest gift we can give others is love. So what do you look forward to this year? Are you looking forward to the snow? Do you love receiving gifts? or are you the charitable type and give to those less fortunate then yourself?

I'm sorry to hear that. I wish you a Merry Christmas either way and hope you enjoy yourself as much as possible before the holidays are over. No one deserves to suffer. Don't forget your family of fellow bronies and pegasisters on the MLP Forum that will be more than happy to celebrate Christmas with you.

Christmas is great time I like it! Families unite and memories will be made from these days. At least I don't remember the times when I was alone which I usually am. Moments where me and my family were together come fresh in my mind  :har:

Like in many christmas days I remember when I was young and Santa come visit I was scared but I got nice presents but really I don't care about the presents anymore it is more important to create those warm memories with people who you love around you. People around you may not live forever but those memories will.

That is why I love these holidays where families and people can unite! It is truly something special  :fluttershy:

Well it will be nice to see my sister and spend time with the family eating nice food so yeah Christmas shall be good.

Although I can't say Christmas is as exciting as I've grown older, like sometimes I really can't be bothered with it, and all the lights and trees and ghastly music.....not again xD

Anyway fun video for you, skip to 0:32 for the good bit :)

I love Christmas. It's the time of year where usually nice people are everywhere. Also I love the season of Santa hats, Christmas trees, and making yummy sweets. Anyway that's why I like the holiday.

This Christmas is finally going to be a great one, as I'll finally be able to not only buy for myself, but will have everything I need for the next year and to come

And of course, I hope to be wonderfully entertained and loved here now that I'm back, so I wish you all the best of the holidays and let's work hard to make it a good one  :har:

Yeah I don't think I was ever excited about Christmas... Especially after accepting that the magic of Santa Claus is all fake (or well, depends on how you define that "magic"). I no longer really look forward to presents since it'll just be something to look at or enjoy for a while before it gathers dust somewhere.

Well for one thing, I live in the snow belt, so snow is a given. I'm not the biggest fan, especially when driving in it, but it is nice to look at.

I'm kind of at the point, where I don't really want anything specific for Christmas, and would rather just have money, if I ever get a spending urge somewhere. I do have a few ideas in my head already...

One of my favorite things to do, is actually sing Christmas music, because most of it falls right in the bread and butter of my vocal range, therefore I sound really good doing it.

We don't get snow where I live. I used to live in Maine until about thirteen or fourteen, then we moved to Arizona. We already put up our tree, and I'm looking forward to getting my Frosty Christmas tree train! :3 I also love listening to Christmas music on this radio station that plays it nonstop (aside from ads). I don't really believe in Santa Claus anymore because I kind of grew out of him when I was in my teens after my parents told me he wasn't real.

I'm not very excited for Christmas yet, since it's still a few weeks away. :P The only thing I really have to look forward to is getting to see some of my cousins that I don't get to see throughout the rest of year, which is nice, but not super exciting.

I don't really care about presents since I'm not a very materialistic person, so new presents don't entertain me for very long.

I haven't started my list quite yet. But it's because I'm not sure what I want. That doesnt mean I'm not excited for Christmas, no I am excited for Christmas. Quite excited actually. Hopefully my family does go to my aunt beckys and not to Mawmaw and pawpaws and it ends up being boring as hell like thanksgiving was. -.-

o: I never really watched any of the Christmas stuff on tv last year, when does it usually start up? Also, whats your favorite Christmas movie?

When it starts up depends on what channel it is. The broadcast networks schedule their stuff for primetime, but they push it in between their regular lineups, so you'll have to keep an eye on the guide. ABC Family started their 25 Days of Christmas tonight, they'll be doing it every night (and day on the weekends) until Christmas Day. Check out this full schedule on the Christmas Specials Wiki: http://christmas-specials.wikia.com/wiki/2014_Christmas_Special_and_Movie_Schedule

As of recently, I have come to appreciate "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (tomorrow 8:30 on ABC for those who don't have the DVD) very much, listing it as my favorite. The writing really was ahead of its time and more than made up for the special's lack of budget. It managed to be sincere and heartfelt yet witty and satirical at the same time, and like Charlie Brown himself, this special was written off as an underdog and nearly sent into Development Hell during its production. Ironically, despite the special's anti-commercial message, it was the money of a "Big Eastern Syndicate" (The Coca-Cola Company) that saved the production when CBS executives were ready to yank it.

It managed to be a well-written Christmas special that pays tribute to the true meaning of the holiday while commentating on the superficiality and phoniness of the modern, commercialized version of it. That's something I don't think most specials in production today would even think of touching. It was a great risk back then and it continues to pay off immensely, even now.

I'll be at my house playing tons of video games. :adorkable: Oh, and eating candy, too. :pinkie: And I'll be spending fun times with family. :kindness:

So, yes, I love this time of year.

That's understandable. I too learned the same. Think about this way, Santa Clause represents what Christmas means. He represents love, charity and togetherness. His spirit maybe allegory but in some way, we will always still believe in him in our own little way. I understand that receiving presents maybe not as exciting but think of it being a gesture of kindness and generosity without obligation. It's the thought that counts. Just being together with those you love is a gift in itself.
