What is the most important lessons you've learned in life?

This is a topic I thought I would pick because life is full of lessons for we are always learning as we travel this road.  I have learned lots mostly from my children of all places it seems that children can teach us all, if we only listen. I used to think I knew it all, but I was wrong I was a mysogynistic typical male, now I am a feminist, and fight for womens rights. I have also learned not to judge others, and to give everypony a chance. So I can say I've done a full 360.

I have learned that time waits for no one and you should live life to the fullest.

You should always laugh and do good no matter to whom

I also made up my own motto: "Worry about it now; laugh about it later".

I agree with you fully my friend you must enjoy every min. of this life, and laughter is very important.

I've learned that whatever you are doing, there are always people who can do it better than you and there are always those people too who cant Comparing never leads to anywhere because of that.

It only makes you feel bad on yourself or good but it lead always in dead ends and just being better at something than domeone else doesnt make you better.

We are all humans and we are good in different things it is important that we learn from those who have more knowledge in life than us and share the knowledge to those who are still learning.

It is never ending cycle and you will play all parts in your life. You will be the student and the teacher even if you didnt know it someone csn observe your way of living and learn many valuable things from it.

Then they implement your knowledge into their own lives and share the knowledge to their children. That way everyone of us can make the world a better place to live

You just need to be a good example, example that people see and they can learn from you just by watching and observing your work.

Everyone can change the world.

I've learned that it doesn't matter who you are, where you are, you're you and no one can change that. Be yourself, accept yourself, and you'll always find happiness.

My personal motto: "It's Great to be Different"

Always stay positive. Everything works out in the end.

That is another thing to which I have learned staying positive I myself try not to let things get me down, or people for that matter. I stay positive, and it has helped me out alot.

- Be myself and love myself no matter how different I am. Like my personal motto says: "This is who I am and I'm not gonna change it".

- Be open to new experiences.

- Give everyone a chance.

- I learned this one myself due to observation and notable historic events: We have the power to change the world and make things right.

- Trust myself.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

To be grateful for everything that I have. A castle, an apartment, the arms of another, no matter what you call home it can always be worse and you could always have less be it in material or far more.

Life, the most precious of gifts, is full of pain. That doesn't make it less precious nor worth squandering. The most foolish of ventures is better tried and failed then never having attempted at all. For failure tried in passion and ambition is better than all the passive moralizing the world over.

Wealth does not determine the measure of a person. However, that goes just as much for lack of wealth as control of it. The slick suit could hide a monster while the old coat cloaks a guardian angel, just as much as the gilded man can be a saint and the poor one a fiend.

Inside of us all, is a single virtue. Many of us may have a multitude of good qualities about us. However, there is one and defying, singular, defining attribute that centers us. That which we are stripped of all else, we bear our souls.

Of which, mine is sincerity. I do not save face, compromise nothing of my identity, and speak no poisonous irony of my naked passions.

Naïveté is a cocoon, one that we must all shed. Cynicism, a shroud that many cast over their vision and call it wisdom. Idealism, a challenge that must be met with resolute faith. When all the world appears as a shifting, relativistic sea, it is your duty and truest honor to plant your standard proudly and champion such certain principles.

Might without wisdom is destruction, wisdom without might is inept. The strongest of so-called knights without ideals and honor is nothing but a directionless brute, an ogre. The kindly prophet with no strength soon falls like leaves in a gale.

It is only when one possesses both wisdom and ideals coupled with the will and ability to act upon them that they are fully realized and our goals are both laudable as well as attainable.

That science and the unrestrained capacity for the human mind is as close to the purpose of all existence as yet can be fathomed and it is a noble one. Evolution is just another tyrant, the last tyrant. Our minds should not be limited by our bodies, nor intelligence limited to us when we can create it in other forms.

There are no things that man was not meant to know. If that were so we would not be able to know them. Those that would look out at the immensity of existence, at the seeming insignificance of themselves when compared to the cosmos and reel in terror and revulsion, are not pious nor empirical. They are unwilling to meet the challenge. Eldritch horrors and cosmic phenomenon are nothing before the infinite potential of sentient intelligence.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

That there is a God. It may appear in many forms, go by many names, may have created us or we It, an inhuman but conscious intelligence or an unthinking benevolent archetype of existence, that It's nature may be something that we will be grappling with till Singularity come; but It does exist.

There are those that choose not to believe. They are not damned. It is our actions that determine such. There are zealots more diabolical than any demon and there are apostates more noble than any heavenly choir.

All traditions contain some degree of divine truth. Our ability to create is tied with our ability to believe. As long as we contain the capacity to dream, to create, to inspire, to believe in anything beyond that which we can see or touch, we will contain the capacity of faith.

I cannot stress enough, that is a blessing not a curse.

That it takes all kinds to run the world. That autocracy and assimilation are two extremes between which contains the ultimate ideal.

We gather here in celebration of that very same principle. The individual remaining uncompromised in spirit, but unified in equal goal and camaraderie with others.

True freedom and harmony is that by which we become great.

I've learned that being myself is better than being someone I'm not. I refuse to let people walk all over me any longer. If people have a problem with me, they can say it to my face. I don't really give a **** anymore. I'm much happier being the person I have yearned for this whole time.

Question, everything. Never make an opinion or belief if you're never gonna be open to challenges to it... but, never rule out any one possibility, as unlikely or unreasonable as it may seem.

And even question this lesson... and this instruction to question this lesson... and this instruction to question this instruction... :P
