Favorite Species of Pony and Why?

Once again, people. Saying that you "would be a unicorn because you can fly with magic" is the same as saying "I want to be a pegasus because then I can do Sonic Rainbooms". The latter ain't happening unless you're Rainbow Dash, and the former ain't happening unless you're Twilight Sparkle. (Or Luna or Celestia.) Unicorns can't just make wings at will, just like pegasii cannot do Sonic Rainbooms at will.

So true. As spike said in the show, unicorns are only supposed to have a little magic that matches their special talent. So I don't think unicorns would just be able to give themselves wings.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Plus, the wings Twilight makes are quite delicate and would then be useless. Rarity's wings easily fell off as she got higher, and using magic to grow wings would defeat the purpose of a pegasus!

earth ponies are farmers with no horn or wings. before equestria was founded, earth ponies had to pay hmage to the unicorns and pegasi in food. the reason they didnt rebel is because the unicorn magic and the pegasi wings would kill them all. the earth ponies are basically peastants.

Pegasus but i would be a more grounded Pegasus i would prefer to live more down to eath then with my head in the clouds because I would live to see the world from a diffrent perspective each time.

Earth ponies are my favorite because they aren't expected to be epic in some way. Pegasus can control the weather, and for Rainbow Dash, can perform aerial feats thought to be impossible. Unicorns obviously have magic on their side. Twilight Sparkle has a well of power that even the Princess recognizes. Not to mention it is this magic that raises the sun and moon, at least I think so as I'm not sure if Alicorn magic is fundamentally different from Unicorn magic.

 

But yeah, Earth ponies. I think a history lesson on Earth ponies is needed. We need to see just how awesome they can be without some gimmick to give them an edge. I'd be an Earth pony and I'll show all of you other ponies just how incredible Earth ponies can be.

Despite the fact that my OC is a pegasus pony (its more complicated than that actually), I personally am more of a unicorn than anything else. Observer me, and you would not be supprised to see me attempt to use the force to turn the lightswitch off instead of getting up and turning it off, which I end up doing anyway.

Pegasus, no doubt. But that don't mean i don't like the others. Unicorns are nice, can use magic and stuff, but, for me, they represent the mind, the intelect, the inteligence, wich makes the others to look less intelligent than temselves.

Earth ponies... I must say, they are admirable. They survive without magic or wings; just their hooves and hard work.

That's Unicron. He's a Transformer... which is also a toy line from Hasbro, just like MLP. He's standing on Cybertron, by the way, which is the planet the rest of the Transformers live on. Look up "large and in charge" and that's the picture next to the entry. I like Earth Ponies. I just like how although they are limited in their abilities compared to their neighbors, it doesn't effect them one bit and they still pitch in their part as much as any other Pony.

Unicorns may use magic to teleport, levitate, and much more at will. But not like they can teleport to, or levitate things miles away.

Wings are limited, too. For one, they have no flying experienve. Second, they can go away. Very limited.

 

Earth Ponies seem to be stronger, endure more than the others. Though lack things that let them live with much more ease.

 

Pegasi is my choice. They fly, have 2 wings, 4 hooves, and a mouth, so forget teleporting, levitation and false wings. Even lacking magic, we don't need to study 23/7 just to learn all spells for living.
