Were you scared of flu shots when you were little? Tell us your story.

I don't think I ever got the flu shot I did get some others when I was younger but don't remember whether I was afraid of them or not but I sure am now but not because of the needle but what is actually inside the shots.

Nah, although I did cry the first time I got a tetanus shot. It also makes me feel icky when I get a needle piercing into me, whether it's an injection or a piercing needle.

Well, I hate needles beyond belief! I'm still kinda scared. xP I used to cry about it though but not anymore. I used to think they hurt when they didn't. Now they just kinda feel like some bubble popped in my skin lol. But I still don't like them very much. :v

I still cant bare shots, It has become a bit of a problem for me since i have had to take quite a few 

 

I cant really bare needles at all, Im afraid to stitch even

Shots are really scary, because think: The doctors put it into a sharp neetle into your arm and it has a chance of bleeding afterwards. I still am afraid of shots, and always go slow on the ride there. But when you think about it this way: flu shots have saved lives, and they make sure you don't get sick.

Scared to DEATH of needles, and probably cause when I was WAY younger I had to get shots literally everywhere on my body for some reason, Not sure why XD

I hate needles. The last time I had an injection, it didn't really hurt, but then about 15 minutes later I started sweating like hell and feeling really dizzy.

I was never really afraid of them and am definitely not now. I can watch them stick the needle in my arm without flinching.

As a kid I was terrified of needles; especially flu shots. Now, I don't mind them a whole lot. I remind myself that it would only take a few seconds to get a shot and that's all.

 

This topic reminds me of the time in which I had to go get a tooth filled. When the numbing stuff was injected into the side of my cheek, I noticed the dental assistant was using a GIANT needle. I wasn't scared, but the size of the need made me go 0.0

Oh yes, I was scared to death about shots when I was little. When I was four years old, I recieved my first injection. Holy shit, it was the most painful thing I endured at the time. For years since then, I was TERRIFIED of injections. Then about 2 years ago, I had to recieve an MMR (Mumps, Measles and Rubella) shot. Naturally, I was dreading it. But then I recieved the shot and it was nothing more than a brief pinch. Sure, my arm was numb and was hurting for a couple of hours, but it was all good. Now I don't have any fears of injections anymore

I was scared of shots when I was a kid but they don't even remotely bother me these days. In fact, I enjoy them. They're very relieving in a strange way.
