What made you pick your fav pone?

As the title says I'm curious what values made you pick your pony above all others. Keep it short and to the point.

 

I'll start

 

 

I like how pic related doesn't need many people in her life. She just keeps out of sight and does her own thing, never expecting any praise. She doesn't need anyone to tell her that she's doing good, neither complements or insults really moves her.

She's the kind of person I'm trying to be.

I picked Rarity because she represents the ideal type of woman to me artistic, kind, strong, beautiful, generous and her passion.

 

She never gives up and she encourages people who might give up and helps them shine that is the ultimate generousness. She is a beautiful hearted pony.

 

For me meeting someone who is like her would be fantastic. I often give up but she would be there for me and give me courage to pursue for my dreams

Hmmm.... well, while I don't necessarily have a favorite pony (I love Equestria itself, and all the ponies, good and bad, are what make that experience), I do still find some more entertaining than others. And whenever Discord is on the screen, I do get a little more enjoyment out of the show.

 

I love Discord because he's funny, and just generally fun to be around. There's something about his random unpredictability and smug sarcasm that I absolutely adore. Discord all the way!

 

... Some may say that Discord isn't a valid choice because he isn't a "pony" like the thread title implies, but you know what I say to that?!?

Of the mane 6, I was pretty much immediatley drawn to Twilight Sparkle. She was intelligent, mature and I looked up to her. However, I have to give my driving point on best pony alltogether.

I knew Fluttershy was gonna be my favourite from the moment I first saw her in S1 E1, when she was all shy and awkward and mumbly trying to talk to Twilight, and I just immediately could relate to her so much. I love how realistically her flaws are portrayed, how she struggles with her fears and anxiety, but despite all that she's developed and improved so much  (I will fight you if you try and tell me otherwise, not even kidding :okiedokielokie: ) , and she's so strong in her own way even if she doesn't realise it. She's so kind, caring and considerate of others, even when they don't always deserve it, and she tries so hard - even if she doesn't always succeed - to face up to her fears and be a better pony, but she will always come through for her friends. I just find that inspiring, I guess, as an extremely shy person myself

I really like Suri Polomare because she has a great sense of style and assertiveness but what made me choose her was her personality. Although she can be rough at times, she makes up for it in talent and has that certain grace when she walks. Its just the dominant personality that is so attracting to me and therefore favorite pony for me was chosen. Not much to go on because she was portrayed in a bad light and brought it upon herself, but i think she is an awesome friend.

She is just so wonderful in the sense, that she laughs all the time, is always amused. She knows to get something done you have to get off your arse and do it xD

Discord. Before I joined the fandom, I was a complete chicken. Too scared to break the smallest rule. To me, life was something very, very strict. But Discord (and maybe Pinkie,) showed me that life can be fun, and part of life is breaking the rules. You just have to think outside of the box! So Discord is best.

(Now Screwball, thats because of how small parts of the fandom have portrayed her as Discords daughter, and in my eyes that is just the most fitting thing for Discord, and I liked the thought of someone as mischievous and evil/unfeeling as Discord secretly having a soft spot for Screwy.. The whole thing is a bunch of "D'aaawwww!"'s for me...xD   )

Luna: I personally love her backstory, and I can somewhat relate to it in a sense. Her attempts at redemption and reintegration highlight a tale of regret and sadness that feels so strong. Add to that her personality, voice, and general design are so beautiful. <3

 

Sombra: I loved him in the episode, and I just love his mysterious backstory. Add in his general intelligence, patience, and overall design...love him. <3

Pinkie Pie is my favorite because I relate to her strongly. Both her good and negative traits.
I can be a bit annoying, but I also can be very caring for my friends. I can get lonely super easily, but I'm a super outgoing person.
She also is my favorite because I love comedy relief characters and I love characters that can break the fourth wall.

When I first started watching I didn't know why at first but I knew I liked Applejack of course once I figured it out the list of reasons just kept piling up. If anything about myself influenced me I would have to say that I like people or rather ponies in this case that are for lack of a better term "real". I have through years of trials and tribulations learned that the best way to live is to be true to yourself and who else embodies that better than Applejack? Family is also important to me and again Applejack and Applejack also has a strong sense of right and wrong without being a self righteous white knight.
