I'm English so I gotta say chips (fries). You can't make much of a meal based on onion rings. They're tasty, sure but it's a side flavour or a snack. It's not a carbohydrate. it's not a protein. All that batter makes it fail as a vegetable.

I'm not a medical expert, psychologist, psychiatrist, teacher or love doctor. Take my words with a pinch of salt, yeah?

 

I am an experienced cook, musician and care worker though, so that's something.

Either way I end up with heart disease....

 

But I guess onion rings... without the onion... yeah. It works.

same here love the onion ring batter but not the onions

Fries any day. I hate onion. I personally prefer McDonald's fries, those are the best <3

Octopus option reminds me of "onion ring roulette"

Entire bowl of onion rings... and one squid ring in there, somewhere.....

I really like both, but which I prefer depends on the rest of the meal. For something like a burger I prefer fries, but if I'm eating ribs I usually prefer onion rings.
