it is more embarrassing because i am the 13 (yes 13 year old bronies exist and its the site minimum is 13) and when the cashier at hot topic sees a 13 year old say do you have any good rainbow dash shirts in the back because only see shirts that say brony on them it's kinda embarrassing

I probably would be if I ever actually went to buy some pony swag unless I was at a nerd gathering. At Target or Toys R Us, I'd probably have to lie and say its for my niece's birthday.

The first time (and only time so far) I bought pony merch were two blind bags in a very small Toys'R'Us. The only cashier there at the time was a woman probably in her early 40's. When she saw me with the ponies she just kind of smiled a bit, probably thought it was weird of funny. ^_^ She didn't ask any questions though, and told me to have a nice day. I wasn't embarrased, but I was kind of excited because that was my. first time buying MLP goods

I've been waiting for the day that someone laughs or tries to give me trouble for buying pony merch, but I think working at Toys-R-Us is so soul-crushing that the employees no longer care who's buying what. It probably helps that I don't go up to the checkout riddled with anxiety, too.

I've done the curious walk down the girls aisle and quickly hauled ass whenever I seen someone approach but nah I havent brought any ponies so I wouldn't know haha. If I was to buy one I would prolly feel weird but at the end of the day, who really cares? No one but yourself bruh.

EDIT: Pony clothing however was different. I ordered my mlp shirt with a big cheezy grin on my face and wore the hell out of it with pride. I'm waiting for the day someone notices the shirt and walks up to brohoof me.(hopefully not in the face lol) but because MLP doesnt air in New Zealand its kinda hard to find people that know of the show itself let alone people that are fans

I actually never had the opportunity to buy ponies.

I can't get close to the nearest by shop, simply because when I put my foot out of Apocalyptica's hideout, I get flooded by fans.

The closest I got from buying ponies was about 180 feet away from Toys-R-Us.

Not in the slightest!

Even if a pony is the only thing I'm buying, I'll just put it on the counter like I would with anything else. No one bats an eye. Of course, self-checkout and online shopping are a nice alternative!

Then again, I'm an animation buff and have a history of buying cartoon-related things. I still visit the Disney Store frequently! Everyone just accepts it now, and any sense of embarrassment left me long ago ^_^ Also I'm sure being female gets me off any suspicious looks, since I'm "allowed" to be into this sorta stuff.

I haven't actually bought any, I just checked the local toy store like four times and asked about blindbags, and I was not embarrased with that. And I'm probably not going to buy anything else anytime soon, because I already have a Dashie fig. standing on my table

(my mother's responsible for that :3) so I'm pretty much satisfied :).

Embarrassed? Heck no! I bought a blind bag at Toys R Us, the checkout lady said, ah My Pretty Pony eh? (It took all my will power to not facepalm) She then asked if it was for my sister, I said, "Nope, its for me." Her expression was priceless! xD

I've never had a problem, of course I don't treat it like a big deal either. I even made small talk about video games with the guy that rung up my blind bags once.

I'm a 15 year old girl and I feel a bit embarressed buying ponies, I have no idea how adult men do it :P

but seriously, I just keep thinking: 'you are a pegasister, and you are PROUD!' And I am! really! I just, gosh, I don't know. Maybe people think like: 'derp, that girl needs to act like her age and buy make-up!' xD

Sometimes I tell the people about bronies and they tell me there were some 'collectors' buying ponies the other day xD

But furthermore, I just wish they would make the toys OUR style. Like, accurate toys and neon like boxes. I just bought Princess Cadence and it says 'LOVES TIARAS'. I didn't know Cadence was actually Diamond Tiara all the time :|

Anyway, I am a pegasister and I'm PROUD! :D

I bought a couple of pony shirts, and it's not really that bad. Just embrace that you're buying pony stuff. If you can't do that, just remember that it's the cashier's job to be nice to you.

Guys your age are fairly common in our fandom. Seeing you buying novelty shirts in Hot Topic or hanging out on a forum like this one seems pretty normal to me.

I just walk in, grab what I want, and buy it. I've yet to have an unpleasant experience. As long as a man exhibits just a little bit of confidence when he's buying pony stuff, odds are good that nobody will bother him. That's how it's always been for me.

I know of one guy who got called a "pony fag" by a cashier in Target.

I try not and get embarrassed over buying MLP merchandise because it's something I like and life is too short to worry what other people think. I'm a fully grown and married woman and, one time when I was out with my mom for one of our shopping days, I picked up the royal wedding three figure set (Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, and Twilight Sparkle) and she just said, "Well at least it's cute!". lol

I don't think I have already posted this... IDK (sorry if i have)

But the answer is gonna be a big ol' NOPE!

I go into the store, walk to the aisle, grab stuff and walk to the counter.

Once I went and there was an empty mlp pallet thing, so i carried it around the store until i made my purchases and asked the guy at the counter if I could take it (it was a yes!)

So I guess I don't care at all..

Once you've gotten like 3 items, that emberassment goes away.

I have never been embarrassed to buy pony stuff. When I went to the big NYC Toys R Us, they were having a Buy one Get one sale, so I got over $140 of pony merch (spent $70) and the guy looked up at me and said "You have one lucky little sister" and I said "Yeah. My little sister would love if I would share my pony toys with her..." and just walked off after paying for it. I never really get embarrassed about that sort of thing I guess... Maybe just me :P

I don't get embarrassed when I buy the odd pony here and there, though it's much easier to do when my girlfriend's there with me. Helps even more if she's buying like three or four boxes and I'm only grabbing one.

Well, I don't buy pony toys, but I have some pony wallets that I made. I don't feel embarrassed. If anything, I feel like I am helping the cause, for a brighter brony future.
