I work at Best Buy Mobile. I can honestly say that I was not only not excited about the iPhone 6S from a device standpoint, but from a retailer who has the sell the thing. I was able to get hands on with it about 2 days before it came out and I get to play with it every day at work. Just today I was able to upgrade my phone and I chose the Galaxy S6 instead. Apple is getting really ridiculous with the 6S.

For starters, Their biggest feature "3D touch" is just pressure sensitivity which the Galaxy phones have had since the Note 4. Power wise it's still a phone just FINALLY sporting more than 1GB of RAM which my Nexus 5 from 2 years ago has at least 3.

I especially love though how Sprint crashed their activation network on the day of iPhone launch.

As someone who sells phones, works with phones and specializes in getting you the best deal on phones: the iPhone 6S is a huge rip off. You pay $100+ what you would for Android phones that have all the same features from 2 years ago. There are some benefits to the iPhone, but if you are a power user, android is so much better. Apple's features though that I think should be "borrowed":

  • Device back up. Apple's device back up is literally 1:1.
  • Applecare. Apple at least takes care of their customers in that they fix their phones for next to nothing if you have their care.

I ordered an iPhone 6S+ today!  It was out of stock where I am; I won't get it until October 15 :P

Yeah that's pretty normal. When the iPhone drops, if you don't get it via pre-order you end up waiting a month+ for it.

I do really badly want an iphone, but i think that I already have enough phones (5 to be exact)

2 Nokia Lumia 635 (One is mine and the other one was my dads but he ditched it for a Android phone)

1 Mexican android phone (Lanix illum s520) Never buy it it sucks!!

An IPhone 3gs (Love old iphones)

An LG Optimus Fuel (Pretty good phone for the $)

And finally a old Coolpad

I only use my nokia phones because they are the best!

Apple isn't getting anymore money from me until they can fix the shuffle issues I'm having.

Lucky for them, I upgraded only six months ago. =/

As someone who specializes in selling phones, I would honestly say EVEN if you're a hardcore Apple loyalist, this is NOT the "gotta have" upgrade. The 6S is more or less just a speed upgrade with pressure sensitivity that is not even really used that much. Wait for the 7 if you have to have Apple products.
