spoiler Will/Should the CMC get a spin-off show?

If you've seen the most recent episode, you'll know that the CMC finally got their cutie marks and realized their special talent: helping others find themselves.  I may not be the only one who picked up on this, but with the scene at the end with the picture and the letter going to the princesses, I thought "wow, this would be a good spinoff show."  Is anyone else thinking this?  The whole plot would center around the CMC, and they would go around meeting ponies and helping them to discover themselves.  Overall, I think it would be another big money reel-in for Hasbro, and we all know how much Hasbro loves money.

So, is this a good idea or not?  Do you think it should happen?  Personally, as mixed as I am with CMC episodes, I would definitely watch the show.  However, it's possible that the new show would either 1) steal time and writers from MLP:FiM or 2) get the "B-list' writing and animating team, leading to an incredibly poor show.

As long as it had the same quality animation/writing, i'd be super happy with it! I love the CMC and would love a spin off! I'd love to see older versions of them though, either teenagers or adults! That's be really fresh I think.

But no, seriously, I do think the CMC could get a spin off. Hell, I've thought that from the START. I honestly just feel that the CMC would have worked better in there own world worrying about cutie marks, as I always found that concept kind of very kiddish. Just the "Special mark on me!" thing seemed too care bearish.

Either way, At this point, I could see them doing a spin off, but what would differentiate it from the mane show? if you're just doing slice of life, you're essentially just doing FIM episodes but only about the CMC, which seems a little off.  I suppose if there's zero adventure and ONLY slice of life, it might feel a little different though.

I can't really see the CMCs getting a spin off show, but that's just me, doesn't mean it's impossible!

APPLEBLOOMERS.

Haha, I remember that.

There could be potential if the spinoff puts a twist on FiM. Show the CMC as teenagers, and have them pursuing their own adventures and careers, away from each other. Scootaloo gone off on adventures with Daring Do, since RD is off being a Wonderbolt, and being called by the cutie map on her own fun adventures, and has less time for her.

Apple Bloom moved to Appleoosa to live with Braeburn, and be of help to the still new town. Maybe being deputy to Sheriff Silverstar, and wrangling criminals.

And Sweetie being an up and coming singer in Manehattan.

Thouugh, through their different careers and adventures apart from each other, they have friendship lockets that work like the Tree of Harmony's cutie map, calling them together, like the Justice League, to their Crusader Base, where Diamond Tiara briefs them on the mission at hoof, and help ponies in need

I could see a spin off actually working, but only for a short amount of time. Perhaps it would work best as a short series instead. Sure, there could be a lot of potential with adventures and whatnot, but it would most likely revolve the same concept every time, which could become stale very quickly.

From a realistic standpoint, this won't be possible. Why would Hasbro make a series, that won't make them anymore profit, with characters that are in the show in the first place? A show like this, would only cost them more money. And a Spinoff series, would also put more work on the shoulder of the writers, eventhough they already have to work on the main show, on EQG and on the movie.

Sure, might be cool. But i don't see it happening.

I think it would be nice seeing them older and trying to teach other impatient fillies and colts about the natural progression of cutie marks. Applebloom will finally learn how Applejack felt that time she complained to her about everyone getting their mark before her

No as it would seem just redundant at this point same characters and roughly the same concept. It might work, but it is highly unlikely to get approved at this point.

An Equestria Girls spin off series would be far more viable as there is enough differences to make the concept work as a standalone show.

Spin-off? No. Hypnosparkle pretty much gave all the reasons why it won't happen.

However, I personally would love to see the CMC, reformed Diamond Tiara and reformed Silver Spoon turn into the next generation of Mane 5 once Twilight and friends has wrapped.

I don't think this will happen, but I'd watch the buck out of that show if it did.

As someone mentioned, I would think it'll be better for them to have "shorts" than a spin off series. Their adventures will be too played out to the point that they wouldn't be special anymore. Maybe they could be a small show for the really younger viewers? where a repetitive problem can happen every day and they come in to save the day? Otherwise, I don't see i happening nor do I see it will work out.

BEsides, I don't think they got their cutie mark based on their talents...I think it was based on how they can make a difference to others...which isn't a talent since many other ponies do the same thing but in their own way. Maybe that's how cutie marks are revealed? When a pony realizes...or think they have realized...what their purpose is in life and how they pursue it

Lauren Faust wanted to make a CMC spinoff if you wanna know  :P . Though, I think it's possible for them to do so later, or making a whole season focused mainly on them, but I'm not 100% sure
