I have no clue why but, is it just that it is old or did the writers mess up the spongebob episodes and nopony cares about him.

It's more that people don't like the direction the show has currently taken. We all like to talk about how much we loved the show when it was airing, but at the same time, a lot of us also talk about how bad some of the episodes in the newer show has gotten, infamously being episodes like One Coarse Meal, A Pal For Gary, etc

I still find the show funny, from the new episodes I've seen. I think the main reason there's no spongebob love on here is the same reason there's not as much Wander over Yonder love- this is a site for MLP, not other cartoons.

I find it funny, usually. I just only happen to catch it if I'm cooking, and there's nothing else on. I don't actively follow it. :v

sponge bob is a show that used to be good and has since fallen from what it used to be.     Much like the Simpsons and Family Guy.  

 

It's just not funny anymore.

I used to be a huge fan of Spongebob but I sort of fell from it. Not because I got older but the show has lost a lot of quality is possessed in it's earlier seasons. I feel as though they are dragging it too far which is something I hope doesn't happen with FiM G4

I think Spongebob is a fantastic cartoon. The reasons it doesn't get much attention on this website is A. This isn't a Spongebob forum and B. Many fans, myself included, think that the new seasons don't have the humour and the charm that the first three have. Not that I'm saying the new seasons are horrible since there are some new episodes that I do like, but it could do a lot better.

 

But even if it isn't as important as it was a decade ago, I do think that the first three seasons have aged well. Sometimes I even like to marathon the first three seasons from time to time.

I adored Spongebob pre the first movie. Since then I can't stomach it, so much has gone downhill you can't recognise the show anymore from what it was. It's taken a similar route to the Simpsons really, milked to get as much money as possible because it's still popular, with no regard of the quality.

Naw, I like SpongeBob! But, alas, I only enjoy the older episodes. I don't hate SpongeBob personally, or any other character; I think they're all great, with loveable personalities in my eyes. It's just the fact that the show's creators are quite clearly running out of ideas, and are kind of turning every character into a version of themselves that is simply a collection of their worst/weakest elements. That mixed with new but bland humour has caused the show to be hate so widely. So, as for the newer episodes? No, I dislike them. But the older ones? I'd sit down and watch them all day.

See, I don't care about any of the new episodes, the show pretty much fell apart after the first 4 seasons or so. Mainly because the creators of the show left after the movie premiered. The first 4 seasons though? I LOVE them. <3 They are wonderful. Not only did I absolutely adore them when I was little but now that I am older, watching them again, there is sooooooo much subtle humor in this show and it is hilarious. I often make statuses with quotes from the show because they always brighten my day. 

 

So I am still a huge Spongebob fan, but I would consider myself an 'old' Spongebob fan. It is one of my favorite shows, easily.

I love SpongeBob, it's my second favorite show. And a thing people don't seem to know is that the original creator is back to work on part of season 9 and season 10, so the episodes are good again.

I like Spongebob  Well, the first three seasons at least.And the movie.

 

But not the Abomination, that is every else that came after the movie. Some episodes are just disgusting for me and i have no interest in ever watching spongebob again...no thanks...sure, there are some episodes that are fine, but...as of fear to get a disturbing episode again, never again.

I greatly enjoyed the first 3 seasons of the show. The first movie initially enjoyable, but it hasn't held up over time, and I haven't seen the recent movie yet. I've seen a fair amount of post-season 3 episodes, and there were too few enjoyable episodes for me to continue keeping up.

The older Spongebob episodes from when I was a kid were awesome. I would watch it every Saturday morning. The new ones have lost their touch, but they still play reruns of the old ones and having a little sister has allowed me to remember how good the show used to be.
