I was going to make a "that's not how you draw Celestia" joke, but I can't actually tell which princess it IS.

At least at first. I THINK it's Luna, yes?

 

Not that it's a bad drawing, no. It's a great pony drawing. It's just her fur is lighter than her hair, her eyes are smaller and a bit more angular like Celestia's, there's no identifying regalia (like collars or crowns), and with the hair all flat and natural looking like that, you can't tell that way either. The only thing that finally gave it away was her little flippy-do bangs.

 

Maybe mention that it's supposed to be Luna in your artist comments?

my suggestion is to use different grades of pencils - it appears you are only using one grade which makes the shading appear flat.

I use twelve grades of pencils .-. I'm just terribly new at drawing --- Only three weeks into learning at this time

I think it would look really weird if her face were darker than her hair in a greyscale picture

I also thought this was Cadance until I checked the tags. This makes sense because Cadance is basically a mild edit of Luna, which means you need to identify their distinctive features to ensure your artwork can present them clearly even in greyscale.

 

The eyes you've drawn look closer to Celestia's -- they're not catty enough. Luna has a distinctive, would-be-seductive shape to her eyes, and in particular, is one of few characters with consistently obvious eyeshadow (her eyes are close to Rarity's but madder.)

 

In addition, Luna rarely smiles, but when she does it looks a bit more smug due to her dignified eye shape.

 

You've made her hair a bit too plain, as though combining season 1 and season 2 Luna. It would be best to pick one or the other. Season 2 Luna's hair floats on the wind like wispy smoke and has considerably less "going on" in the shading -- your shading makes her hair somewhat indistinct and too "normal", and hides the lop-bang that would identify this as Luna.

 

On a more general note, the jaws of the image are very bulky and lack the distinct definition of the FiM style, looking more like an older pony style.
