Dislike the FIM intro?

I am. I love the show and all but JESUS! THE INTRO IS SO ANNOYING! Now im not trying to hat on the show or anything i love the show but jeez! I cant stand the intro. Although some of the songs in EG & in the show are tolerable.

I've always hated the intro the series, that song... URGH!

Even though I can sit through it and not rage like I used to, I do still harbour mass contempt for its existence. Primarily because it's the only constant reminder of what franchise I am watching, and with it, the negative connotations of my reaction to it as a kid.

 

Not to mention sitting amongst a group of Bronies while they're singing it out loud watching episodes... for me, it wasn't a very pleasant experience despite knowing they're all happy as hell to do it.

I mute it every time. Just like how there's shows I don't like with awesome themes(Megaman), plenty of shows I do like have some lame themes(MLP)

I always, always listen to the opening, in fact, I think MLP might be the only show I've never skipped an opening. It's like 30 seconds guys. It's almost too much of a hassle to even skip imo.
(Though I also love the theme, even if it seems childish. I sing along every time!)

first: I heard it already hundreds of times

Second: I want to enjoy the interesting stuff at once

I don't mind the intro. However, when I decide to rewatch an episode on netflix, I tend to skip it because I want to get into the story as soon as possible.

I absolutely adore it! I can get why people hate it. It's girly and childish, but it always fills me with a sort of "nostalgia" I guess. It's the sound I heard back then and it's the sound I'm hearing now.

 

That aside, I think it just sounds good. The harmony (no pun intended) is excellent and the beats are very well implemented.

I. F******. HATE. THE INTRO. It's worse than the f****** PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures theme song for crying out f****** loud. The way that they sing ''My Little Pony, My Little Pony'' is just so f****** cringeworthy for some reason. I'm sure I've shed a F****** TEAR from hearing that song. However, I don't skip it because if I try to skip it I'll end up trying to find the exact frame that starts the scene right after the theme song, which is no fun at all. In my opinion, they should change the intro to something less girly, but not with all these wubs and beat drops that may be too intense for the younger audience.

I've been a fan of the show ever since a few months before Season 5 began (...which isn't really saying much). I used to like the theme, but then I started to hate it because it got annoying. Now I've got more of a love-hate feeling towards it. It's still horrible and obnoxious, but when I'm done watching it I can take a breath and say "Whew! Worst part of the episode is over..."

I guess I'll be that girl who actually enjoys the intro. But it's natural to start hating it after hearing and seeing the same thing through 5 seasons. Plus, at times I'll ignore the intro and do something else (or simply skip it if it's possible) because I'm too impatient and want to jump straight into the episode. 

 

I mean, I know it's been said again and again, but it is still a kid's show that attracts other people of all ages (A LOT OF THEM) because it exceeds the quality of what a "kid's show" is (depending on one's perspective of what they consider a kid's show). So naturally, the intro will be a bit loud and obnoxious if you see it that way
