Have you played Morrowind?

I've considered it, but don't like the idea of swinging a sword at someone 2 feet away and missing, I like the oblivion & Skyrim way better, if only there was a hybrid, wouldn't that be fun

Also gg, quoting my post to open up for your own ;3

There's a mod for that.

Also, Skywind is a huge mod that aims to recreate Morrowind in Skyrim. It dumbs it down a bit due to the easier combat and more forgiving mechanics, but AFAIK all the story and dialogue and everything is the same.

Examples? Apart from Zelda?

Metal Gear Solid V

-You can build an army that makes you stronger

-You can build, customize and level up to better versions of the weapons you get.

-Your soldiers can die, but also level up to a better rank(From A++ to S+ for example)

-You building your own bases, that increases the capability of soldiers you can earn(I'm nearly able to have 2.000 guys and girls in team)

-You have several ways to finish a mission, not forced in one direction.

-Not entirely open world, especially in missions, but still a bucking huge area to play around with

-Several side missions and other stuff

-You technically even create your own character with an editor at the begin, that you can use too and is your character for the multiplayer

And still it's not a RPG, it's Action-Adventure

I've got it! Custom Robo for the GameCube.

Some context, growing up, I used to watch a show called medabots. The idea of the show was it was an anime, but there were robots owned by all the characters who would do battle using a number of customizable parts. I thought this was so cool and that there should be an action game based on it.

And that's pretty much custom robo in a nutshell. It also has a pretty fun and engaging storyline where you can unlock parts by defeating an opponent. The only complaint I have is no online multiplayer... The DS game had it, but the story wasn't quite as good and the parts were really broken. Oh well, not like it would still be online at this point anyway and there will always be local multiplayer.

They so need to make a sequel for the 3DS. If they do I will die a happy woman.

That would be cool, but I would much prefer a full blown TV game console sequel.

WITH ALL THE POKEMON. The didn't even have all the original 150 in the first one.

We totally have the game space to do all 700 something now though.

Man, I remember, I played Pokemon Snap so much. I eventually started trying to collect pretty snapshots of the ENVIRONMENT for my own amusement.

Civilization 5 and the Mass Effect series.

I just recently played through the Mass Effect games and it baffles me how many times I forget to throw it in topics like this. Absolutely phenomenal games that had me from start to end. I can't wait for Andromeda. Unfortunately it's been pushed back to 2017. :(

That's a tough one, but I think I would have to go with Resident Evil 2. It was the first Resident Evil game I ever played. It seemed so different than any other video game I had played at that time. It was like playing a horror movie.

I have much nostalgia for the old Sonic Games; Sonic Adventure, Adventure 2, Heroes, etc... so they kind of win in reguards to how long I've played them and enjoyed them for XP

BUT, if I had to pick an all time fave, I'd have to go pretty obscure on y'all. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil remains my current favorite game of all time. I love everything from the story, to the gameplay, to the art design, to.... yeah everything. *shot* It is really the only game I still go out of my way to play on my own, seeing as video games don't tend to hold my interest much anymore unless I am playing with a friend.

I don't see the always-hit combat as "dumbing-down". There was dumbing down in Skyrim, but I saw that as due to the limited magic options and weapon usage, not the mechanic behind hitting a thing. I really hope they re-add all the cool spells from Morrowind,

How is it not dumbing down? In Morrowind, you had to be skilled in a weapon to use it effectively, like it should be. The limited magic, enchanting, and weapon types are also ways in which it was dumbed down. Combat was also easier since some Morrowind enemies would just be immune to certain things, or have Reflect Magic, or cast powerful spells that did things other than damage. Skyrim is just way more forgiving.

Also, limitations of the engine will make it quite difficult to add in spellmaking and enchanting of the same type. As far as I know, all the mechanics will be the same as Skyrim, it's just the story, NPCs, world, etc. that are from Morrowind. It'll still work with Skyrim mods, though, so you can make it a bit more like Morrowind in that way.

If you could not tell the least, my all time favorite game is Undertale. But as Undertale is my favorite game that does not make me not love games like Grand Theft Auto V, and Skyrim!

I feel like there's a trade-off since even if you CAN hit enemies it doesn't mean you'll do any meaningful damage. When I was playing Skyrim I consistently got killed cuz I was always underpowered. I may have also bee playing wrong by trying to play as an Argonian Mage. :P

The Sims 2 (including its expansions) will always be my absolute favourite game due to not just nostalgic reasons, but because it's still a fun game to play even to this day.

Right now I LOVE Fire Emblem Fates, but that may be because I just got it. I fell in love with Undertale last year, and i'm still pretty nostalgic over Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (if you love this game be my friend please). So one of those three, probably.
